He thrummed the fingers of his right hand against his leg in thought as she explained the Shadow Realm. Well, things could be worse. Though he realized they wouldn't necessarily be able to get much better. It made sense that they could come back in some way even if they were stuck somewhere for awhile. He could deal with that, but, given he hadn't really been seeing many ghosts he also knew it sounded like it could apparently be an unpleasant time.

She encouraged him to speak with others, he had to raise an eyebrow and half smile at the mention of suggesting he find a 'mate', that was an interesting addition to it. Not something he really thought was a...specifically necessary aspect of this. He could sort of understand it making sense and didn't really have anything against it, just hadn't been on his mind really. She said she'd offer guidance, that could help for sure.

Glade moved his hands to fold them together and considered her next mentions of growth areas, and the quarantine zone among them. Yes that would be a good idea he thought. Practice would help keep him safe if he ever had to get into a more difficult fight. Though he could already use it in the situations he was getting to as it was. Once again though he was reminded this woman seemed to have a ridiculous amount of funds as she mentioned just letting him use an apartment, going on to say she owned an entire building in Cherrydale. He nodded at the mention of it being $200,000, yeah that was about the prices he saw pretty regularly. Some went a hundred or more thousand over but 200 seemed the typical price for a lower end one. Still, seemed good enough to him.

There was mention of a woman named Mortll, he'd have to try and keep that name in mind. He didn't necessarily need decor but it certainly would be nice to have a not empty apartment. She questioned about video games and he had to consider that for a moment, "Uh, Throne of Poseidon I think. Pretty wide variety of things, and sure" he said with a nod in response to the question of him showing her how to play it. He did seem to want to do that but he was also unsure about the actual reasoning behind it, he still hadn't completely emotionally felt that she was legitimately willing to help him. So more social things were really not expected.

He ran a hand through his beard as she mentioned willing to help with ritual ingredients, as well as giving mention of girlfriend named Zodiac who could help actually teach him. Well that did repeat the mention earlier she had made, though he couldn't quite remember the wording she had used before, "Ah thank you, yeah that could certainly help."

She mentioned reading 'this Hamilton chick' being a better read then 50 shades. He had no idea what 'this Hamilton chick' was but he'd heard 50 shades wasn't necessarily the best written book. Of course, to be fair, he hadn't read many romance novels. Had to chuckle at it any way though, just because whoever Hamilton chick was was better. however she also mentioned reading books using the term day, he assumed at first she was referring to the 24 hour cycle. But she then added that it was a trait, something it sounded like ehe could even gain. Even mention of powers offering resistance to damage of the daylight. And that there was much further he could grow. Well, if he could stay awake during the day and not take damage, well then there was almost no issues at all he had compared to when he was human. Aside from that his skin would inevitably have paled, that could be an issue but he was unsure of it.

There were a few more mentions on herself along with saying to study. She mentioned cooking but he realized that...didn't exactly help him considering all he could have was blood. Though she also mentioned other traits, some to appear more human, as she did.

He let out a breath and looked up, plenty to take in, plenty to work on, "Gotta say there is a long way to go for me, kind of knew that already but you know it just gets extra solidified sometimes. I...honestly can't think of much else to say, there is thanks. That's something to say. One way or another you have helped me, even if I didn't particularly enjoy the first time."

She rose from her chair and knelt down beside the man. “I don’t know what happened the night I was turned.Or any night before that even. I woke up in tattered clothes in an alleyway. The strange man disappeared before I could get so much a syllable out. An id was all there was, and even now there is no way to know if it was truth or not. Being a human is not something I can understand, but for what it is worth thank you for surviving. This existence is bleak without others around you, loneliness will set in.” She looked off to the side, “It wasn’t a gift to you, it was a gift to me because I am a selfish *****.”

“You can leave the town, in bursts. But thanks to being what we are the draw to come back is there and sometimes overwhelming. It is ….. Painful at times too.” She looked down at her hand resting on the arm of the chair. “I can teach you to fly if you would like. It gives a pretend air of freedom, like we are not exactly trapped into this city. And…. if you die elsewhere, there is only so much of a chance that you will awaken in the SR.”

“People are what you should watch out for the most. For example, the crowd you run with may be lovely, but always reach out and explore, don’t get suckered into one group of people if you can. It can be ….. Thrilling at first, feeling as if you mattered, as if your thoughts were being heard or listened to. Eventually you will come to find the moment you say something against them, those same people will turn on you and outcast you faster than their” she used quotation fingers for the words, “Friendship.”

It took much for her to consider the next words with eyes falling to the floor, “And sometimes you just feel as the outsider looking in no matter how much you fit in and cast yourself out.” **** she needed to get him out of there and fast. The downward spiral had begun. In her mind she called out to Zodiac to meet her at home soon, “Well,” She rose wiping her hands on her lower half like they were sweaty. She went around the desk and laid out a cell phone for him, “I suppose you will need one of these.” It was motions, her emotions were draining into the void. Was this a side effect of being in the SR or was it more than that?

A call mentally, both of her two assistants would get it. Flashes of the man's face going through their heads to keep an eye out on him. Cristiana rose and turned from the male, a tear rolling down her chin that made her turn before he could see it.

“But I must excuse myself. It has been lovely, and … I have to go.” With that the office was now empty, and the door hung open. Something had happened, but whatever it was, Glade could not question it at the moment.

A woman walked in a moment later. She ducked her head and kept by the door like she was waiting for him to leave but never saying a word. With her dark hair, pulled back into a bun, and her clothes mimicking Cristiana’s it wasn’t hard to tell she worked for the woman. Yet, she was not as forthcoming as Cristiana’s primary assistant. So in silence, she waited for the man to get himself together in the door frame looking down at the clipped notepad she had. Her eyes, big eyes that had once been so bright, looked over at him. She wasn’t waiting for him to leave, just waiting to see if he needed anything and to close up the office when he left. The brief instructions were clear, help the man if he required any more aid.
