Raven was more amused by what the man had said, rather than insulted or upset. A simple smirk caressed her lips then as she spared a glance towards the man who had invaded her personal space once more. She didn’t invest any emotions into her questions, why should she feel insulted or upset? It was then that she decided that she really did want a cigarette, even if she had a casual one while she waited for the bodies to finish burning. ”Well you’re in luck, I’m not in the market for a husband. I’m not even looking for a relationship.” What she didn’t say was that it was all because she didn’t really see that she even had a future. Killing, pain, hunger and her sire took up her time. Everything else was not important, at least, to her. Although, she had promised to Jesse to make an effort with the family, so there was that which she didn’t think that she would make very much progress with.

A dismissive hand was waved then before she proceeded to pull out the packet of cigarettes and lighter once again. ”Yes. I asked you to. Everything else is wrong, so I guess you did fail at reading between the lines. If there is any disappointment, it’s because you were just not as capable as I thought you were.” Again, they were not lies, all that she spoke was the truth. While she did hope for some kind of pain from the man, it wasn’t the fist kind. Oh one could throw punches to their heart’s delight, but the pain that lasted came in the form of a sharp object or a gun-shot wound. Simply put, Jesse had been right when he had pointed out that she could poke and prod at a stab wound to her heart’s content. The wound and the pain would last longer, but at least the pain was there for more than a day or two.

”From you Kaspar? I doubt that there is anything that you could give me.” Adopting a bored look, she tugged out yet another cigarette from the packet and pocketed the packet. Silently, she held up her lighter as she placed the cancer stick between her lips and flicked the igniter. Gas caught alight and the end of her cigarette caught alight as well. She drew in a quick breath as it did so, just to make sure that it stayed lit when she pocketed the lighter. After she had pocketed the lighter, she finally pulled the cigarette from her lips and exhaled. ”Besides, if I let lose my dogs of war and you injure me, he will probably be out for blood. Especially considering that you’re another vampire. I can’t have that, as it is, I have to negotiate with the man on a constant basis when it comes to fighting with another of our kind.”

Indeed, the woman had to negotiate with Jesse in order to simply fight Doc, who just simply left her blind and itching all over. Doc on the other hand, had been dealt a bullet wound and he had also been struck with the shadows that she commanded. She angled her head then to send a simple smirk to the man, ”Besides, you’re not as charming as you make yourself out to be.” There was no bridge to build, no bridge to get over. It was how she liked it and most generally stayed away. Most being the key word. This was the first vampire, that she knew of, to ever strike up a conversation with her, especially considering that she generally had a, ‘don’t come near me,’ vibe. It was a stance that she had been working to perfect in her human life, but it seemed to have all gone to **** the moment she was turned. ”Besides, who said you were my amusement? I’ve had my amusement for the night, you’re just some random vampire that happened along afterwards.”

Her words might have stung someone with less confidence, a man who did not know his own self worth. Kaspar Wilhelm Grube was above being hurt by the words of some random vampiress with a hard on for trying to be a bad ***. In fact, her words just down right amused him, Hel staring at her for a heartbeat, eyes roaming her frame before he let loose his laughter. The handsome blonde vampire damn near doubled over laughing, stamping one of his booted feet to the ground. "Oh, geez, Rot you are WAY too cute. Do you need you sire to fight your battles then, hm? You need him to come and tell off the naughty vampires that YOU clearly try to bait into argument. Perhaps he should giving you a spanking instead..." He paused, considering her once more, the redheaded woman seemed rather intent on pleasing her sire or at least not pissing him off, and perhaps there was a button there to push. A way to worm under her skin and kick out at that rotten little core. "Is that what you want, hm? Your big scary sire to come and kick your pretty little butt? Do you call him Daddy, Rot? What's Daddy's name, hm? Is he hot?" Kaspar winked at her, smirking.

He laughed again, this time straightening up, folding the arms that had wrapped around his waist as if holding himself together. As his mirth died down he began to walk around her, "Sweet thing i'm plenty capable, and perhaps you don't find me charming but that's ok. I know I can't win over everyone, and that's fine. It doesn't make me any lesser, i'm not a man so easily wounded so you better try harder if you want to get under my skin. It ain't going to happen, not mentally, not verbally so if you want to do it you're going to have to get physical. I'm not interested in just fighting for the hell of it though, and I don't have anything to prove to you." He paused so that he could lean closer, canines flashing behind that snarky grin. "You want me to grab my dagger and stick it into you so you feel alive? Give you a pretty little bullet wound to take home? Fine. Call Daddy, ask him if you can have a little play date. Otherwise... Enjoy your lonely little night, Rot, i've got no reason to stay here in this rank smelling alley."

His shoulders lifted and fell in a shrug, arms opening towards her, palms up. He let them drop as he strode passed her, not walking quickly just a leisurely pace with a walk that oozed comfort in his own skin. Once more he pulled the phone from his pocket, responding to a text. He had other people to see tonight, other things to do and if Raven was not going to play ball then he was going to make his fun elsewhere. The night was still young in his mind, and he knew better than to waste it on a lost cause. "Want to feel a little? Just do what I do," He called over his shoulder, "Get a tattoo or piercing if you want to feel a sting. Want a little adrenaline to wet your whistle? Hell, get your angry little *** laid, i'm sure there's someone out there interested in your specific brand of cliche kinks."

Raven silently listened to the man speak as she took a drag upon her cigarette every now and then. The woman had to choose her words carefully, roll them through her mind to seek the truthful ones. After all, it was only the truth that would pass her lips; false ones would only remain stuck upon her tongue. ”It’s funny,” She finally said as she flicked the cigarette upon the blaze that licked at the cold night air with a heat that was memorizing in a way. Often she figured that she could almost see the dragon or phoenix that played amongst the blazing heat. That is, if one looked closely and patiently enough. ”You’re quick to judge and quick to assume as is most people. It is a trait most commonly seen amongst those that figure that they have everything worked out as they pick at the smaller details to try and broaden them. To pull information out.” The fledgling chuckled softly as she lifted her right bloodied hand to her lips, only to suck one finger in at a time.

Brown hues watched the male as she did so, before a simple smirk caressed her lips. ”I did mention a he, but I never said that he was my sire. He is my sire’s sire, Jesse Fforde, the head of the family as he likes to keep bloody reminding me.” A yawn found its way to her lips. A full meal and this pointless bouncing of wit was beginning to placate the woman. Not much energy was to be spared into the conversation, the information that she spoke of was widely known to many. As to which one of those many that he might know? She wasn’t exactly sure. ”My sire is a she and she mostly stays out of my affairs.” The tone she had taken on, was something that she probably would have taken on when she was human after she had had a full meal and was picking her teeth with a tooth pick. However, for the moment she was content on slowly suckling the blood off of her pale fingers.

Another finger was slowly pulled from between her lips before she spoke once again, ”If I want to feel more, I’ll just simply chase down a hunter or two after my current meal has… Digested, so to speak.” The fledgling said as yet another simple smirk caressed her lips. Softly she chuckled then as she shook her head and angled her head towards the fire once more, it felt like a movie cliché at the moment. ”You know nothing, Jon Snow.” Was all that she said in regards to their entire conversation that had been had so far. As far as she was concerned it was a rather accurate representation of their conversation so far. Raven had a feeling that he was fishing for information that was already out in the world, should he bother to look. He was making assumptions based on a handful of her words and actions, assumptions which were mostly wrong when it came to her.

It was a rather curious factor really. One day, she wondered if anyone other than her sire, would understand the inner workings of her mind. Perhaps maybe they will and maybe they never will. However, she never put voice to such words. Everyone saw what they wanted to see upon the outside. They saw her as a vicious vampire, watched as she tore into human flesh as if the mortal before her meant nothing, which was true. Raven had taken to mostly seeing humans as nothing more than food and that was as far as she cared about them. They also saw the cold front that she put up to keep out those who wished to try and climb; to dissuade them from doing so. ”You speak about listening and yet you do not do the same yourself. Perhaps, you should take your own advice.” She said simply as she drew the index finger of her left hand into her mouth.
