Re: Canon Q&A With Stortellers
So birth control now works? Cause David said they did not work before.
There's a huge contradiction in there somewhere. That's what I am trying to figure out.

Re: Canon Q&A With Stortellers
You're right, David has said in the past that protection doesn't work to protect against having a fadebabeh, however, my interpretation has been that not every sexual encounter results in one.
Just that every sexual encounter has the potential to create one, even if you use protection. Protection being no barrier against the potential. (ie: Dice roller rules all things)

Re: Canon Q&A With Stortellers
I went ahead and poked David to take a look at the questions. In the meantime:
1) Go with the previous stated 1:1000 ratio.
2) Assume 'protection' applies to all preventative measures. Making a Fadebeast requires sperm and egg, so it makes sense there would be some potential to block conception if the partners involved made an effort. Similarly, a condom isn't a 100% guarantee that a baby won't be conceived, or the parties involved won't get an STD. Because Fadebeasts are part spirit and part flesh, those preventative measures would be even less effective. It's not really a contradiction, just a different way of looking at the provided information.
3) I wouldn't look too hard at the Fadebeast thing because honestly, it's not entirely supposed to make sense.

Condoms = 98% effective according to the CDC.Azraeth wrote:I went ahead and poked David to take a look at the questions. In the meantime:

That means they are actually over 10x more effective for vampires given the ratio of 1:1000.
There's a problem there somewhere logically.

Re: Canon Q&A With Stortellers
Though all Wraiths on the Grid are reported as Shadows, it is logical to assume that they might have been a Telepath or Allurtist, or whatever when they were Vampires. Right?
So, you could therefore assume that your Wraith could give you knowledge of their former path?

Re: Canon Q&A With Stortellers
I don't see why either of those would be a problem, assuming the wraith is coherent enough to pass along that knowledge. It would also depend largely on the wraith's history. A person turned and killed shortly thereafter wouldn't have much knowledge of their path.Levi DAmico wrote:Though all Wraiths on the Grid are reported as Shadows, it is logical to assume that they might have been a Telepath or Allurtist, or whatever when they were Vampires. My only real caveat is that they obviously wouldn't unlock a person's path the way a wraith guide does, as wraith guides are exceptionally powerful wraiths. Otherwise, go for it.
