Tales of a Body Snatcher

Hum…so, I was dead, lonely little spirit, roaming this city and watching all the strange **** happen. Then I came across a girl with my same name, Drusilla. I was able to enter the body and we talked for awhile. In the end, her mind…consciousness left and I took over her body. Yeah, she was a vampire of the telepath path. Her family, her sire, Mama Sisya and her sister, Kira, seemed to take it well. Even Kira’s hum childe, David.

Those two right there confuse me. He seems to think they are married and Kira doesn’t. I think he is full of it honestly. Slightly entertaining watching them go back and forth though.

And I have this power that allows me to lure a human to me. Comes in handy when they are all grouped together. Though granted it took some getting used to having to drink blood. I miss food…
Anyway, one time I lured someone and it just so happened to be a hunter. How unlucky is that? He missed but still, kind of scary.

Let’s see…Mama disarmed Kira’s sensor alarm, started putting bear traps up. I got cut up trying to disarm the one she put in Kira’s room. Not that Kira hasn’t put one there herself now. Remind me not take anything from her closet.

Dru stared at all the unfinished things in her room. Granted she had a lot of success too, the best one being the program that used cameras to reflect an image onto a screen that looked like a mirror. Not that Kira needed it for the lounge rehearsal area but she wanted to be able to go back there without those stud muffins freaking out when she didn’t have a reflection. And who knows, one day one of the dancers might be a vampire.

She heard the little bandits running around in the room, taking off with one of her screw drivers to their hideaway. She sighed, why did Kira get her ferrets? They took off with a lot of things. Then again Kira said she was going to take them to break in and steal things, maybe that’s why.

Kira…she was worried about her sister. They could have conversations with each other thanks to mind messages. She said that her stalker took out her heart, and how bad it was the last time it happened. Her sister with emotions? The thought seemed so weird.

Dru talked to her about the other family trying yet again to ‘get it going’. Kira had started to laugh then, even more after Dru told her what she said.

Kira: Nothing you have said before, isn’t any different than what I would have said. But I was council and was trying to play nice. I frankly would have liked to just killed some of those people. Damn annoying, bitchy little whores, the ones that complain and cause trouble from the start. That family will never be a unit because of the disrespect some of them spew. It is always easy to complain than to fix the program, walk a mile in the shoes of those who do try, then they can see how it is. There is no point of even trying. It was why I left, I need a closer unit to belong to. Grant there are some I'll miss.

Drusilla: I don’t really care if they hate me for my words. People don’t like hearing the truth. I came to terms with being alone besides having you around some time ago. Our family is so small.

Kira: I know, I’m sorry about that. I never did feel truly a part of that one line, that kept changing names. I’m not even sure Mama would know who he is anymore. I have to stand up for what I believe in, and killing someone who was lowering their bounty and it was just $1000, it was a ******* joke. I don’t even know if there are any caring sires and family out there, not that I need one, but it might be nice? Though I’m doubtful anyone wants to adopt us. I’m far too independent for it I guess. Dru, has it been what you thought it would be? Maybe you can find a childe someday that you won’t feel so lonely?

Drusilla: OMG don’t say that! I’ve seen the trouble your childer cause you. It sounds more stressful than curing loneliness. And David already calls me Mama Dru, or whatever… I’m not sure what I was thinking when I started this life. I had no expectations so there was nothing to feel I’ve been failed in.

Kira: Childer? Yeah I suppose it isn’t a cure for loneliness, David makes me feel more lonely than ever. Thralls and wraiths are better company and of course the furry creatures we have in the house. Dru, have I missed the full moon?

Dru blinked, that sure was a subject change. “Yes, why?”

Kira: Was hoping to do a full moon ritual. Maybe the goddess can help me with my emotion problem…was going to see if you wanted to take part as well. You said you wanted to learn more.

Drusilla: I do but I’m not sure if I’m ready for that. Maybe I should go to your shop and quiz Dave *laughs* see if he knows anything.

Kira: Don’t remind me that him and that old man are the ones taking care of my shop. I’m sure neither can answer any serious questions. Have you been enjoying taking care of the Beef Cakes?

Drusilla: Ah well, yeah…I was tempted to give them a paid vacation but how could I pass up watching all that hotness dance? They are taking care of their own dance routine, all my dances are too old..

Kira: Oh *sounding amused*. I’m not sure how I’m going to deal with them when I get back. They are going to notice a difference…but I’ll figure that out later. I need to go look for more spirits. Take care.

Dru told her the same, returning to the hover board blueprints. The project she wanted to finish the most because the other Dru was working on it. She needed a break from it and finding source codes, which she was rather good at. She could make a lot of money selling them if Serenity didn’t need them first, making all those wonderful hacking programs for them. She was rather happy with the ones she got so far.

Dru grabbed her things and headed out for a comic book and fashion magazine run.

Kira moved through the temple in the white and gold accented dress, gathering the items needed for the Full Moon ritual. She placed salt, a container of water, incense, a silver and then a gold candle, her wand, her athame. Candles for the quarters and a cauldron, which was her personal one with the triple moon on it.

Dru headed inside the temple, she was still learning but she was interested to learn what her sister was interested in. She never really believed in much before and she still didn't. Her life was always comics, fashion, makeup and boys. Maybe she could talk Kira into coming to a comic convention sometime.. She got to the back of the temple and blinked, "Was I suppose to wear something special?" she asked. "You look really different by the way.."

Kira titled her head towards her sister. "One can have ritual clothes but no, you didn't need to wear anything special. I just...reconnecting to my priestess past." she said, she waved her over. "I wrote you a copy of what I'm doing. I'm a little rusty but it should be fine."

Dru looked over the items on the altar. "Did you make that wand?" she asked, before looking over the paper she was handed.

"Yeah...always best to make your own." Kira said, "Suppose that could be another custom item I could make at the shop though." she said, it was best to make your own runes as well but she did make them for other people. "Now I know you don't know much about this. This ritual is for the triple goddesses in general. There are a few. The few I feel more personal towards are Brigid which is why I already have a flame going. Hecate, which is why I have a key on the altar. Isis, The Morrígan...well just a name a few anyway." she said. "This ritual also brings the male gods, but I don't have any personal attach to any of them yet. I guess it must be all that time spent as a priestess for the goddess Brigid but both aspects should be covered."

"Sis...far too much information at once." Dru said sheepishly. She had a feeling she could talk about this stuff for a long time.

"Oh, heh sorry." Kira said with a smirk. "Right, take it slow. Alright, so please stand over there since its just the two of us. Remember when I talked about ground and center, please do that." she said before doing it herself. "I cast this circle with love and in trust in mind. May only the powers that wish us well enter." she moved her hand in a circle. "The circle is cast."

As animals would do, Sof moved around them wanting to see what was going on. Kira was ready for such a distraction and had a soft chair off to the side for her to sit and watch what was going on.

Kira held up the bowl of salt. "May this salt be purified to be fit to for this work. In the name of the Goddess, in the name of the God, I consecrate this salt." She held up the water next, repeating the same. She lit the center candle, the incense, and the red candle.

She sprinkled the salt, starting at North. "With the power of Earth I purify this space." she went on to the Water, repeating it for the power of Water. Next incense was moved around the circle for the power of Air. Then the red candle for the power of Fire.

Next was calling the Quarters and the Invocations.

"We honor you Goddess in your three forms, on this night of the full moon.
May our connection to you deepen.
May we continue to grow stronger under your watchful care.
May our understanding of you grow."

Kira lit the other silver candle to let it burn out in the cauldron.

She looked up at Dru. "Now we mediate for a moment." she said, closing her eyes.

Kira then lit the white candle for the Maiden.
"Maiden of youth, we are uncertain of the steps we take. May you help us along the way.
May we find joy in our path, to smile and dance. Help us as we go on into the future."

She lit the red for the Mother.
"Mother Goddess, giver of life. Grant us the simple gifts and pleasures. We feel you all around us as nature springs to life. May we find the connection to nature and grow closer to you."

She lit the black candle for the crone.
"Elder goddess, the wise one. Help teach us new things. The seasons change, the days grow dark but you will always be by our side. Hold us close as we walk our path."

"We Meditate again, anything you need to say out loud or within yourself." Kira said softly.

Dru had been watching carefully of all the things that Kira did. What did she want? She wasn't sure. She didn't have hope that family would work out, which was why she liked them both being in Misfits, people had to care more about each other there then the families they tried to be in before. She wished she had known their sire better before she left.

Kira extinguish the candles of the triple goddesses and told Dru that they now would have to decharge, all that extra energy needed to be returned.

"Loving and wise Goddess, thank you for joining us on this night. Stay if you will, go if you must. Hail and farewell." she extinguish the Goddess candle and went down the closing of the God, the Quarters. She picked up the athame and took down the circle.

"The circle is open but unbroken. May the peace and love of the circle stay in our hearts as we go on our way. Merry meet, and merry part and merry meet again." Kira finished, Sof jumped off and ran after a bug.

"Well, that was kind of a long but not like church." Dru said with a smile, moving off to the sitting area in the corner.

Kira walked off after her, sitting next to her. "Yeah there are a lot of steps. But that's for a full ritual like that. If you wanted to do one just yourself, there are quicker one." she said.

"That was quite interesting."

Both their wraiths decided to show up in front of them.

"****!" Kira hissed, throwing a pillow at her own which went right through it. "You're gone this whole damn time and you do that! If I was human, I'd have a heart attack.." she said, sulking.

Dru's eyes were wide. "You two...did that...planned it." she said, she had moved back on the lounge chair. She agreed with the heart attack comment. Her wraith was laughing before crawling up the wall beside them.

"He's rather freaky but I couldn't pass up a good entrance like that." Mark replied, "But yes I'm back." he added, floating closer.

Kira shook her head, eyeing the mutant wraith of her sister's. "I need to watch this X-Men show to understand what the hell you see in that thing." she said.

Dru perked up. "Read the comics first!" she said, tackling her sister.

"Hell...what did I just say." Kira muttered.

December 11th, 2013

Drusilla: Dru tracked down Kira, wanting to talk to her. Finding her in the Triple Moon Blessings store.

Kira: Kira was putting prices on some cards, while trans siberian orchestra blared though every time the violin played, she would get distracted and started to act out the movements of playing it.

Drusilla: “Sis..?” Dru tried calling over the music.

Kira: Kira looked over, frowning a moment before turning off the music. “Yes Dru?” she asked before setting out some new pendulums out for sale.

Drusilla: Dru sat down at the table. “Why did Liam inspire me?” she asked. “I don’t know him.”

Kira: Kira paused, she finished what she was doing before sitting at the table as well. “Oh maybe guilt. He always trying to get me but seemed to completely overlook the fact that you’re my sister, a childe of Mama Sisya. Even though I kept calling you my sister.” She said. “Don’t be surprise if you’re next.”

Drusilla: Dru didn’t know anything about all the issues. “Then you’ve been talking to him?” she asked.

Kira: “A bit..” Kira replied, she certainly didn’t like what he did to Serenity that one time but she had given people chances before. Her grandsire for one, who blew those chances. Ripper was also on the no more chances list. “One was just simply getting to know each other, the other, well Windy got panties in a twist over nothing.” She said. She still wasn’t sure what to think about having the same pull as the elders who hadn’t been in Harper Rock, she still lumped it in something else, not related at all.

Drusilla: Dru nodded, “So, Friday is the 13th. Should do something cool at the lounge.” She said, course she had an idea in mind. “Little bit of a naughty Christmas before the tamer stuff you have planned.. We to meet the Beef Cakes in an hour?”

Kira: Kira stared at her, “I don’t like that grin of yours. What the hell do you have planned? You guys are always out voting me and getting me to do embarrassing ****. It can’t be too complicated because its short notice.” She said.

Drusilla: “Oh it shouldn’t be hard to come up with.” Dru said, she got up and hurried off to the other store to plot against Kira.

Kira: “Ah ****..” Kira muttered, she finished up unpacking some boxes and left the rest for the employees before heading off to the lounge. “Alright, what you up to?” she asked, sitting down at the meeting table.

Drusilla: Dru looked at the males for a moment before playing the music. “This…” she said, “It reminds me of you..”

Kira: Kira stared in horror at the music player. “You can’t be serious…once again you’re finding songs that focus one me then them.” She said.

“Girl it will still sale.” Lorenzo replied.

“Come on Boss Lady, it will be fun!” Cody said grinning.

“****..” Kira muttered, putting her head on the table. “That does it.” She said, raising her head up and looking at Dru. “Dru, I’m making you an elf for the holiday special.”

“Is that going to be a sexy elf?” Cody asked.

Drusilla: Dru frowned, “I make the outfits, I don’t take part in the show!” she protested. She glared at Cody.

Kira: “Then I’m not doing no whips and chains in public.” Kira replied, smiling and leaning back, crossing her arms. She was sure she won the battle.

Drusilla: Dru looked at the men, she looked at Kira seriously. “Fine, deal then.” She said.

Kira: Kira’s jaw dropped slightly. “Damn it.” She huffed. “Fine, Beef Cakes, to the stage.” She said, cuing Dru to play the song so she could figure out a dance for it. Some of the song was danced with either one of the guys, one part one beef cake was on all fours and Kira used him as a bed to lean back on. Once she was done, she turned to Dru. “and guess what, you get to go get the props for this too..”

Drusilla: “Really? You don’t already of whips and chains?” Dru asked but quickly ran off before Kira could throw something at her.

Kira: Kira rolled her eyes, she did have some chains but why would she use her own things for this. She dismissed the Beef Cakes and worked on the inventory.

Dru put her head down on the desk. She was so tired. Tired of everything. She raised her hand, it flickered in and out. She no longer held any patience for people. David just wanted to blame everyone for everything. He’d never look at himself. Maybe if he had expressed his real feelings for Kira, things would have been different. But no, he just did more and more things to piss her off. And Dru was just tired of listening to the ********. If she had to listen to Kira and him any longer, she’d scream. Maybe she should stop reading anything dealing with it.

She knelt down and petted the small white fluffy dog. She was glad for it, if she didn’t have that one thing to keep her grounded right now, she might skip town or find out what the shadow realm was like.

She sat up, finished sewing the outfit she was working on and hanged it up. She needed to find her own happiness right now, maybe she should go back to school while she still could but was there a point?

She hugged herself, she flickered more before disappearing all together.
