Adjusting the speakers on the desk around him, he needed to hear the voice of his best friend (even if it was synthetic and generated from a computer program that voiced the disembodied brain). The thoughts behind the voice were real enough though. It had been weeks since he talked to her last and he couldn't push the feeling of neglect of her to the back of his mind any longer. He was worried that she would be upset with him, it wasn't like him to go that long without talking to her. Hell, when he was in Pennsylvania he spoke to her everyday - constantly.

His fingertips pushed into the keys of the laptop, entering the security codes and passwords. Finally he was inside the computer that was connected to the conciousness of Roxy.

"Hello Evander." The words and voice streamed simultaneously.

"Hello Roxy. How are you?" Talking as he typed, he felt a sense of relief to be connected to her once again.

"I am good. I have missed you. Maggie says you will be home soon."

"Well it will be a little while longer Roxy. I am sorry." The tapping of the keys could be heard as he pushed the keys and then there was a moment of silence. He couldn't help but smile, knowing this is exactly how most all females react when confronted with news that they do not like. They start with the silent treatment. "Have you been going through the pictures of the traits you want?" He hoped that the change of the subject would get them back on speaking terms.

"Yes. I have chosen" She kept it short and to the point.

"Wonderful. I will go over your choices with you as soon as I can. You will be beautiful Roxy. I promise."
