Dear mom and dad,
Hey! This is Rosario. I hope that you guys aren't too worried. You must have been really upset when you came back and I wasn't there. Let me tell you what happened. I was keeping an eye on the house like you guys told me to. I was on the computer, I will admit to that, but I didn't have any music on so I could hear everything. When I went downstairs to get the cat, I saw people in the backyard and they were trying to take your power tools, dad. So I chased after them for as long as I could. When I knew I lost them, I started looking for Ginger too. I got completely lost, though. I don't know our address or any phone numbers. I know I should have learned those things, but I had no reason to. That's why I am sending you an email instead of just coming back. I really don't know the way back. As soon as you guys email me back, I can tell you where I am and you can come and drive me home, or just tell me how to get back.
Let me tell you the rest of the story! It is pretty intense and hard to believe. A woman named Elizabeth really helped me out. I had finally found Ginger, but Elizabeth wanted her. She ran in to a house and I chased after her. Then these police officers came in and Elizabeth got really scared, so I decided I would protect her. (I am a boy, after all. Boys protect girls, even if the girls are older. It was the way you guys raised me after all. I hope that you are proud of me for it.) I am not sure why, but I just knew that I had to. We ran away and tried to get outside but the police stopped us. I had a knife with me from when I was chasing the burglars so I held it up like I was going to attack them with it. Elizabeth had fallen down the steps and the police man was going to shoot her, so I jumped in front of her. I did get shot and I am pretty sure that I would have died had Elizabeth not saved me. We were able to run away and that's when she had to save me.
This is the part that might sound weird to you. You have to believe me though. When you see me in person, you'll know I am telling the truth. In order to make sure I didn't die, Elizabeth turned me in to a vampire! She also let me come back to her house. I am living there now and I am eternally grateful for what she did for me. Since she was the one to turn me in to a vampire, I am now related to a second family. Of course that doesn't mean I love you guys any less. I love them equally now. Want to hear something cool about them? They don't die! That means I can visit as many people as I want and no one in the house will die. I still can't go in to any places with humans, or at least I choose not to, but this opens up a huge world of opportunities, wouldn't you agree? For the first time, I actually have a chance at making friends that I can see face to face every day. I am really excited. I am so thankful that Elizabeth did for me. You guys did a lot for me too! You were the ones to stick with me through all of the things before. You guys gave up a lot for me, so don't think I forgot that just because I am a vampire and have a vampire family. I will always love you guys and I want to come home again. I love Elizabeth and my family here, but I do not want to be away from you guys. You guys are all I have known for all my fifteen years.
Write back soon, please! I know you two don't check your email a lot and probably won't check for a while because of all the chaos that I caused by leaving. I hope that getting this message relieves you guys! I am writing this from a cafe, by the way. The computers are free and I can use them as often as I want to. I will be checking every day for your response. I promise!

Dear mom and dad,
I haven't heard back from you guys yet. I think I might have deleted an email from you by mistake. I never checked my spam folder, I just cleared it like I did at home. If you guys sent a message and were waiting for me, that is the reason why. I am not going to send the address right away because I am kind of worried about someone looking at it. There are lots of fights between the vampire families. I do not know much about it, but I know that I am going to defend my family. The big name is "Noble" but we are in a smaller branch called "Drake". I get to be part of the group of people that fights for the family once I get strong enough!
I have met a lot of my siblings. I do not talk to them a lot because, well, talking to people is kind of scary! I can't come up with words out loud as quickly as I can think them in writing. It is like when you had me take that Spanish class, mom. I could read and write it but couldn't speak it well. Also, I do not know much about where they come from. People talk about stores and movies and things. I have seen them all and know the names because they are always online, but they have walked in the stores and sat in a theater.
There is one person that I think I am going to talk to regardless of anything though. I just met him today. His name is Hel Ezra. I met him at the park in a strange way. He told me that he had a migraine. He also told me some personal information, so I am not going to repeat it. That wouldn't be fair to him to just tell everyone everything he told me, right? He is really nice, though. I have met a lot of people, but I never felt like this about anyone else before. I am positive that means that we are going to be friends. I would be really upset if we were not! I will make sure that you guys get to meet him. He is really nice. I am going to introduce him to Elizabeth some time soon.
