Unlife’s Last Blossom. (Avalone)
’Apologize and let me in.’
Her eyes held the doorman’s in an iron grip as her command enter his mind. Plenty of muscle, but little brains were required for manning a post like this. The ever growing line of people dying for a chance to enter the latest must be seen in dance club were complaining as the stand off between the doorman and the small woman in front of him continued.
The man shook his head as the expression on his face changed. Gone was the face that told her to try elsewhere. It was now blessed with a sheepish smile. “I’m sorry. Please. Go on inside.” He spoke as he waved her past to the doors. She nodded her thanks while giving the others in a line a look that said ‘Losers!’ and entered the club.
The sounds and lights hit her like hammers as she entered. On the floor people were playing a game that had not changed in centuries. Only the looks, the locations and the music had evolved, but the game was always the same. Some were already casting an eye at her and wondering if this one would play. Her face was neutral. Neither inviting or rejecting. The ‘game’ she was here to play was as old (or perhaps older) as the one the majority was here to play.
Despite all her normal preoperations and precautions to feed in private, the urge to hunt still came upon her occasionally. She had come to accept it like she had all the other quirks of her new state of existence. Never the same place twice and she planned when she began to feel the urge asserting itself. The opening weekend of a new club would be a confusion of faces and considering the atmosphere in general who would notice two people leaving together.
She finally managed to make her way to the bar and perched on a stool. She had a good view from here of the main dance floor and that was all she truly needed. Eventually someone in the crowd would be selected. Drunk enough, weak enough, a lack of brain power. Sometimes cute enough entered into situation, but it was rare. Romance for the undead was a fantasy now as far as she was concerned, but a evening of carnal pleasures was not unwelcome. Besides, recovering from a lack of blood was much safer in a private place rather than staggering home in a town full of opportunists. She refused to let someone die because she was hungry.
“Evening, and how can I help you?” a voice took her attention from the dance floor. The barman stood waiting. “I’m Clint, and I will be your source of libation for the evening..” He smiled.
An eyebrow raised as she smiled back. A small notepad and pen was pulled from her pocket.
Do you serve vamps?
Clint thought for a moment. “As long as they behave themselves.” and grinned to reveal his own fangs for a second, which caused the mystic to smile brighter.
A bloodwine please. Bobcat if you have it. And can you smoke in here?
Clint pulled an ashtray from under the bar and sat it in front of her. “It will take a moment to check on the vintage.” Then walked away.
’Excellent,’ she thought as she returned to searching the crowd for that special individual.

*She sat in the dark corner of the bar. Her back resting against the wall , taking a long slow drag off her cigarette. She was painstakingly bored. Crushing out the butt in the ash tray ,She uncrossed slender legs and slid off the bar stool. Heels gently clicked on the wooden floor. Painted fingers smoothed out the black leather mini she wore. The pale bluish grey top she wore almost matched the color of her eyes.
Sighing deeply ,she made her way thru the mindless throngs of people. She hated the crowds. Drunken stupid crowds . Her lips curled up in a snarl as she pushed one off her. How could they honestly assume everyone wanted to be dry humped. Though the music wasnt bad, she was just plain bored. Ava was fairly new to this city. She had heard the ngiht life was something to die for. So far...... meh. She made her way back to the bar, tucking a stray blonde lock behind an ear and ordered a vodka and grapefruit. Leaning back against the bar, her elbows resting behind her on the edge . She watched the crowd waiting on her drink*

“Here you go,” Clint returned and sat a wine glass full of a deep, dark liquid within. She picked it up and took a small sip. Surprisingly, it was what she wanted. “Had to do a bit of digging.” Clint’s voice dropped lower as he leaned closer. “Not sure the new owners of this place has got the idea of serving ‘all customers’ yet.”
Zodiac nodded while pushing a twenty his way and waving her hand for him to keep the change. She took a deeper drink as she returned to her scouting mission. Lighting a smoke absently as she did her best to appear to be less than interested in the events. Very few feel comfortable under a constant eye, so she just fished around with her eyes.
A glance to her left made her wonder if another like herself was playing the same game. Softly she pulled in a breath through her nose. She smelled a lot of things, but the only scent of vampire she found nearby was what she had smelled of Clint. The girl was, basically, bored and quite mortal. Looking for something she obviously wasn’t finding in this box of nonsense was the mystic’s best guess. Her eyes shifted back to the right as her mind considered. The glint in the girl’s eyes said there was a working brain in her head, yet the apparel said club fly. She took another sniff with her nose in reflex. She smelled clean under the perfume and hair products. No ailments she could detect. The girl would be a healthy treat to drink from for once.
But how to snag the fish in question? She doubted she could simply just hook her arm into hers and guide her to the exit without a fuss and she doubted she could glamor the girl easily. (The biggest problem with prey with brains, and she doubted the girl was anywhere near drunk enough to try)
She turned back to the left again and got a second look at her possible prey. ’What is her story?’ she wondered but quickly dismissed the thought. She was hunting prey and not a new pet. Questions could be asked later.
She held her gaze now on the girl until she looked in the gypsy’s direction again. She blinked and gave a half smile as she raised her glass, then shrugged her shoulders while gesturing at the mass of people on the dance floor. A subtle way of saying ‘Hi there. Yeah, I am bored as well.’ A subtle bit of bait had been casted. If the girl declined to play or not, there was no worries. A ocean of fish to choose from was dancing away a few feet from them both. Zodiac turned back to the left and took a fresh draw from her cigarette. If anything, she knew how to be patient in such matters as this.

*She absently bobbed her head to the music, turning slightly to grab her drink. Smiling slightly at the bartender. She caught a woman glancing in her direction. Raising a brow , she sipped her drink feeling it was her imagination. Shame though, she was pretty hot.
Ava looked at her watch, 11:30 PM. She would give it another 30 mins and go. If she was ro stay in this city she needed that job interview in the morning. Turning again, the woman was watching her. A light smile curling on her lips, she raised her glass in acknowledgement. "Oh **** it, I won't make friends being shy" mutering to herself , she pushed off the bar after ordering another round for them both.
She made her way over. " I see you are bored as well" holding her hand out " Hi, I'm Avalone. It's a pleasure to meet you" Her blueish greys never wavered as she spoke*

Re: Unlife’s Last Blossom. (Avalone)
She blinked in surprise as her potential prey walked right up to her, smiled, and offered a hand. Avalone. An interesting sounding name. Gently she extended her own hand and linked their hands together as they shook. She then smiled and invited the girl with a gesture to take a seat next her while pulling a small sheet of paper from one of her vest pockets and handing it to her as Carl arrived with their drinks.
The title read and then it went on to explain why the mystic did not say a word yet heard every word being spoken to her. No, she was not stupid or mentally bewildered, but with a bit of patience on Avalone’s part they could have a conversation regardless.
She nodded her thanks to Carl as the girl settled herself, then decided to do a trick she had mastered over time. Showing Avalone that her hands were empty and nothing was up her sleeves, she made a gesture in the air and snapped her fingers loudly to reveal a business card suddenly in her finger tips.
It read along with a run down of her shops and services she offered. As Avalone read, she jotted a quick note on her pad.
That’s me. Howdy! and smiled brighter.
What is wrong with this woman before you?

*Avalon smiled taking the female's hand in her own. It was soft, cool to the touch. Slipping into the chair next to her , she read the note and smiled. Taking the drink from the bartender she then turned to face her again.
With a soft laugh, she took the card. Read it and again turned her grey eyes on the woman. She was definately intriguing along with her beauty. She sat back in her chair, crossing her legs at the knee.
It is a pleasure to meet you Mistriess Zodiac. I am sure we will be great friends

She tended to romanticize certain things and the hunt was one of them. With a handshake a tiny tap reverberated in the web the spider sat in. Just a tap. The fly could still escape easily enough if it chose to. For the moment at least. Now was the time to encourage her closer.
You not from around here. the tip of the pen flowed across the paper gracefully. I don’t need to be psychic to figure that out. Out and about alone in this town?
Her own eyes caught Avalon’s for a moment as she grinned. You must know where you are. This town has been on world news. The press and the government both say we have vampires here. Real ones. Along with flesh eating zombies and other nocturnal creatures found nowhere else. Doesn’t that concern you?
An outsider’s reaction was sometimes refreshing. Most just thought it was media hype, but some found the idea possible. Both sides usually had the same reaction once they felt fangs entering their flesh for the first time. The hunger within the gypsy went up a bit. Especially when the girl said friends. She would absolutely taste better than the homeless types she normally dined upon. Her eyes continued to hold a happy expression as well as her smile while a hand gently patted Avalone’s shoulder as if reassuring her.
The hunt was on.

*She leaned in after the handshake to watch what Zo was writing. Her foot bobbed absently to the music. Smiling a bit as the woman caught her eyes, she pushed a bit of hair behind her year continuing to read.
Sighing just a bit softly , sure Zo couldnt hear it in the noise of the music. She sat straighter looking for the words to answer. Because in all honesty she had none. Her small tongue licked her dry lips. Leaning on the bar with her arm, folding her fingers together , she then turned to look back at Zo*
Honestly I do not know. I was searching for a place to visit. Some adventure. And this place drew my attention. I really have recently arrived, so this is really my first night out. "chuckled softly and grinned* Maybe it was to find you !
*She then laughed and turned to grabbed her drink again. Tipping it slightly in Zo's direction*

Re: Unlife’s Last Blossom. (Avalone)
A thrill seeker?
She had seen their kind come and go. Now how exactly did they go was another thing, but they all came for the same reason. To see vampires. A few left totally unimpressed while others could not cross the city limits fast enough. Some still walked these streets as they learned and was now trapped by the curse they wanted to see if it was real and still more lay in unmarked graves or found in the river. Mentally she hissed her dissatisfaction at the situation in general.
She smiled as the girl flirted. Flirting could be a powerful trait in the right hands. Avalone was either serious or nervous. The gypsy doubted if the girl was trying to make her drop her guard for a nefarious purpose. This was not progressing the way she imagined it would. Her plan was always simple. Convince her target to come with her. Check out a few interesting things along the way before taking them to one of the safe spots she had around the town. Once there, a bit more liquor, some harmless fun perhaps, and once her prey’s guard had fallen, she would strike.
Well then, with that to consider I suppose I shall have to be your tour guide/escort/ and body guard this night. she declared on a new bit of paper. I can show you things that will convince you that this town’s reputation is no joke but very real. That is, if your willing to trust me.
Another swallow of her bloodwine and suddenly Zodiac was out on the dance floor. The music had been calling her ever since she entered the place and her hips quickly picked up the beat. She began to move like an enchanted serpent, which quickly caught the attentions of others on the floor. Licking her lips as her eyes remained upon Avalone. A single black nailed finger encouraging the girl to come join her.

*She again read the note and smiled. What was really in this town anyways. She had heard rumors but in the club scene they were normally just that, rumors. Maybe she could stay in this town a bit longer than planned. The job she was going for was only a temp job anyways. Her grey eyes watched as Zo made her way to the dance floor. Leaning back against the bar, she sipped her drink watching the woman. Zo most definately sparked her curiosity and well along with bordem , it was a dangerous combination.
Maybe she should alleviate some of her boredom, setting her glass down, she made her way out to where Zo was. Circuling around her slowly until she came to face her . " I will take you up on that offer Zo. I must say I am a bit intrigued as to what you can show me." She smiled at the woman in front of her and then Ava started moving to the music as well. She loved to dance and let herself go as if noone else was there but them. Her face split into a grin and she laughed enjoying herself for the first time this evening*
