Behold the truth

Post by Galia »

The vampire scrambled to run as Galia chased them down, and as they did a shotgun blasted their side. They tried to keep going, and then spikes struck them further as they tripped the second trap. They began to grow even more concerned. She'd clearly planned on them running. The vampire was weak and had been hiding in the sewers most of the time. Clearly it was a mistake to leave.

She gained, cutting into them each time she closed in. They were made too weak to pose much threat fighting back. But all of a sudden felt the urge to do so. Incited to attack in spite of their condition. Another cut deep into their flesh. Each wound making them less and less capable.

Until they finally fell to the ground, not dead, but close. They wanted to beg for mercy but there was no energy left. And it was clear there would be none. The paladin thinking herself some kind of warrior for the gods grabbed them by the foot and dragged them along, outside, and towards the forest. The vampire barely had the energy to think about what was going on.

She dragged them deeper and deeper through the grass as they bled. She looked back at them. Trying to see if they were going to die or not. And then she grabbed them pulling them up and tying them to a tree before stepping back. She held her sword in the air, "Gods! I bring to you another sacrifice! To show that I continue on my quest to halt this onslaught of these creatures. May the blood they spill remind you of their abhorrent nature."

Galia took out a dagger, walked up to the body, and cut their wrists stepping back and kneeling. Eyes shut and holding her arms out head facing the hidden sky. She stayed there for several minutes until the vampire died and their body began to disappear. The sacrifice over.

Deranged woman. Broken somewhere along the way, she was split in two. One self being fearful and really only wanting to survive, but the other being the fearless. The warrior spirit thinking herself to be blessed by the gods with their power, and thus must purge as many vampires as possible.
