Mike looked up as Nim came in, then stared at the robot he made him. It didn’t look good. “Might have gotten wet? Did you forget you don’t need to water this plant?” he asked. He eyed the wolf, he had one of his own but his time away must have screwed things up. Tala was gone and he couldn’t even use those powers anymore. Given the chance to do things over, he went a different route.
Nim lowered his head, “Well, I was just watering all my plants and like I started to water it then quickly stopped. I dried it off and stuck it in a container of rice...took a lot of rice. It didn’t like it though, kept saying to let it out.”
“Hmm, might have been Peter playing with it then. Maybe jiggled something loose.” he said, digging around in his backpack for his toolkit. He shut the robot down and started to take it apart.
“Thanks Mikey.” Nim said, he heard the door open and went to go help the customer. He would then start cleaning up the place. After some time, the door opened again and a doctor still with a white coat came in. Nim screamed and ran away to the back.
Mike was focused on fixing the robot and let Nim do his chores. He jumped when he heard Nim scream, he thought someone had dropped off body parts like he heard someone did before but he noticed the doctor. “****.” he said, putting his tools down. He quickly got up and went over to the man. “Sorry about that. My friend had a traumatic experience with medical people. How can I help you?” he said.
Once he was done with that, he went into the back to try and find Nim. “Hey Nim, it’s alright. He’s gone.”
Nim poked his head out from under a crafting table. He came out, shaking. He would most likely never get over what happened to him. He took a moment to calm down before going back out to finish cleaning.
Mike sighed, poor dude. He went back to the desk and sat down to fix the robot. It took an hour, some things got knocked loose. He put them back in place and put it together again before turning it back on. It beeped and started to walk around the desk. Mike picked it up and set it on the ground.
“Bad doggy.” the robot said, running away from the wolf.
“Well, seems it was Peter.” Mike said with a laugh.
Nim grinned seeing the robot fixed. “Yay! Thanks Mikey.” he said. “I’ll have to get Peter some new toys or something..”
