Siring Preferences Only Available to "Specific Types" option

Post by Bjorn »

Code: Select all

Would you like to sire random characters, specific types of characters (strangers), or disable siring of strangers entirely?

(No Strangers)
(Random)
(Specific Types)
I'm proposing that only when one selects Specific Types do the selections beneath the first question become functional/clickable. This would keep human error from leading to situations where a character is sired contrary to a person's preferences.

Note: I'm not suggesting that the responsibility doesn't fall on with each individual player to double-check, but I've witnessed (and recently experienced) human error leading to ill-matched siring enough times to believe we could use all the help we can get.

If additional siring preferences only become available once Specific Types option is selected then there'd be no one who might accidentally block their siring (No strangers) or render their preferences moot (Random). It would be a solid way of mitigating human error (and the hurt/confusion that tends to follows it).
