I'm confused.
I've had Claude summon one as a Thrall, but it appears to be useless. All it can do is wander around the grid because it cannot collect items, attack players, or NPCs.
So... Why? Why did I waste all that anima sumoning a thrall to have an extra pair of eyes? It seems like a really weak power.

Re: Trayonetic Wolf
Pretty sure they're mainly used for PVP and for searching. They can attack players but the settings for PVP are automatically off. I imagine it also works as a guard for if others are attacking you.
As far as Thralls go though the Trayonetic wolf isn't particularly impressive. But I figure it'd be more useful if PVP was a bigger thing, or you were in a faction battle.

This. *points up* They can act as 'guard-dogs' and attack player characters but they can't attack npcs. http://www.mooncalfstudios.com/pathofth ... I'm not sure how accurate the wiki is but I know someone who would know, the player of Nimrod. I'll poke them here. They have had a Tray Wolf since almost day one of that update and have played around with it a lot I believe. Mike Barone's player also could have some insights to share so I'll point them here as well.

Re: Trayonetic Wolf
It literally can't attack players, though. The skirmish icon doesn't exist. (And yes, I turned on Skirmishing)
So, either you guys are wrong about that or my thrall is bugged.

Ah, that might be a bug then. I tested it when I answered first, by having Segreri’s tray wolf attack him. it failed, said his wounds healed as fast as they were made (maybe because it’s his? Or because he can heal, not sure) but it did attack him and it registered on his alerts.Myk wrote:It literally can't attack players, though. The skirmish icon doesn't exist. Have you tried to attack any one else besides Segreti with the wolf?
Do you see the skirmish icon?

Re: Trayonetic Wolf
I got it, y'all.
It turns out that both Claude and Otis (wolf) have to turn their Skirmish attacks on for the Skirmish icon to appear on Otis.
Silly, but now I know.
