Stalkin Ya' [Harms]

Post by Zane (DELETED 11820) »

“Oi, punk!”
”The **** dya say mate?”
”Fu..u..u..ck sorry.” He stuttered
”Good boy.”

Brown eyes turned to the gentleman standing against the streetlight an orange hue lit up his face briefly revealing a scar under the left eye. That was Ramone. One of Zane’s regulars. He was a vampire. “You got any green on you?” He meant money, not drugs. Zane didn’t deal in that. ”No. I wasn’t buyin’ tonight.” “Well, **** you then mate.” Ramone was known for being a hot head. Zane lifted his mocha hand and pushed his chocolate dreads up in a ponytail. All he was after was money. It was like Zane was his only source of income. Blood thieve’s took their jobs very seriously. Newborough was Zane’s territory. This was his part of town. His vampire clients were his own. No one fucked with him.

”How about you start talkin’ to me with some respect, Ram.”
That was his pet name to Zane.

The vampire stubbed out the cigarette with his left hand dropping it to the floor and then pushing his foot upon the pavement scraping the tobacco across the floor. Zane on the other hand was fishing in his back pocket and pulling out a brown leather wallet. She opened up the compartment. There were a few paper bills in there. It wasn’t enough to pay for a pint of blood - not that he wanted the blood tonight, he was off the clock. He was on his way to Coastside to see one of the ladies he was seeing on the side. She was a good lay. Didn’t want a relationship, only a good time and Zane could respect that because that's exactly what he wanted as well. He wasn't’ the type of man that wanted to be tied down. He was happy being a lone wolf.

Zane’s long legs strode over to Ramone. He pushed his hand into mans, depositing a crumpled ball of money in it. It was only $73 it was all he had on him, considering he wasn’t on the clock tonight - that was extremely ******* generous of him he’d say.

”Is that all you got?” The vampire barked. Wood coloured eyes looked to the vampire, and he scowled his lips pushing together. His brows knitting together. It was a ‘i’ll **** you up’ kind of luck. He may have been dead but Zane was seriously not someone you’d **** with. He was built. He hit the gym in the days. Bought blood at night to sell on to the merchants for a higher price - he wasn’t like the other rabid dogs (other blood thieves) that jumped on the vampires and sucked them dry with a set of their own fangs - some even got so obsessive that they chiselled their teeth down to make them fangs. That was just so messed up and he steered well clear of that gang. ”Don’t push your luck. I’m off the clock, this is all I have. Take it, or give it back. No skin off my nose.” The vampire blinked and decided to move slipping into a nearby alleyway. Leaving Zane alone on the street corner. His hand raised and rubbed at the nape of his neck.

******* vampires man.

For as long as she could remember, the voices had always been part of who Harmony was. Her parents had been horrified when they discovered that there was something not quite right with their daughter. Coming from a well to do family in New Orleans, they were ashamed that Harmony had been born different, as they liked to say. They kept her hidden away from polite society and in secret taken her to doctor after doctor after doctor. Each one said the same thing. She was schizophrenic, but with the proper course of treatment she could live a somewhat normal life. Her mother had cried for days and locked herself in her suite in their home and days later when she finally emerged, it was to pack her only daughter up and cart her off to the best institution that money could buy. Harmony’s parents had dropped her off one day and never once looked back. After all, she was nothing more than a stain on their legacy. Out of sight, out of mind.

Harmony was fifteen when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. In the confusion of the evacuation of her institution, she’d hidden and had been overlooked, so she was left behind. The ensuing chaos of the powerful storm had fractured what was left of her already fragile mind. When the storm finally dissipated, Harmony was left to fend for herself. For days, she wandered the storm ravaged streets, wading through waist high water. She’d lost her slippers, her clothes were torn to shreds and hung off her small, emaciated frame, but she was alive. Alone, but alive, until one day a guardian angel was put in her path to save her from herself.

She had been in an alley, rummaging through the trash to find something to eat. Starving, her filthy, tiny hands had closed around a rat, but just as she was about to take a bite out of it, large hands had closed over hers. “Sweet child, what are you doin, hmm? Dem der rats will be the death of ya.” Harmony blinked and looked up to find the tallest man she had ever seen in her life standing there. He had smiled at her. She could remember his teeth, how they had stood out against his dark skin. One of them was gold. He introduced himself as Valentine, and told her that he was going on a journey, and if she pleased, he would take her along. Harmony had latched onto him and from then on, she followed him everywhere though she was prone to wandering off when something bright and shiny captured her attention. Valentine had solved that by attaching a leash to a belt he wrapped around her waist. It drew them odd looks everywhere they went, but Harmony didn’t care. Her Valentine had saved her, and she loved him very much. Not a romantic love, but love nonetheless.

Their journey had led them to Harper Rock. That was where her life had changed, and for the first time in a very long time, she was content, until suddenly she wasn’t. It was like she had fallen asleep one day and when she woke up, everything she had held dear to her had disappeared. Her savior was nowhere to be found. Harmony had never felt so alone. She wandered the streets, approaching every single man she saw with the same dark skin as her beloved Valentine. None of them were kind to her. They called her names and threw things at her. A few even kicked her or shoved her away forcing her to retreat to the shadows where she huddled in the dark, not understanding what she was doing wrong.

On this particular evening, her travel had led her to Newborough. By now, the whispers and the sneers just rolled off of her back. It wasn’t like she really understood cruelty in the first place. She didn’t understand that her appearance and her attire were off putting. Her outfit was a compiled of a dirty yellow sweater over a bright green tank top. Pink and purple striped leggings covered her legs and she had stolen a bright blue tutu out of a bag on one of the transits. Zebra striped flips flops were on her feet. Her long red hair was stringy and matted, and her face was dirty, and the leash that Valentine had put on her drug behind her on the ground. She didn’t feel cold. She didn’t take notice of the snow. All she understood was the gnawing hunger that gripped her, so she was searching for food. Blood, specifically. That was the one thing she had retained, blood was life and she needed it.

And then she saw him.

He reminded her so much of her Valentine that Harmony couldn’t help but creep closer and closer until she was standing right behind him. The voices in her mind stirred, urging her to grab hold and tug, and she listened. “Valentine,” she cooed in a voice that was rusty and unused, reaching to grab his sleeve. “My Valentine, where have you been? You left me all alone and I couldn’t find you.”

His phone buzzed in his pocket. ‘Oops I did it again’ playing - it was a joke, it was a ring tone he had for all his booty calls. He flipped the little Motorola up and pressed the green button. Initiating the conversation - he did say hello, didn’t acknowledge the name just simply spoke in a brash tone. ”Yeah baby, I’m coming - I’m just coming up to Newborough station now - get the lube out. I’m gonna be going in dry.” The excited laugh resonated down the phone at Zane. She was a good time, nothing more and she knew that. ”What do you mean?” They were a good time to each other really. Zane shrugged at no one in particular as if in response to the woman on the other end of the phone. ”Twenty minutes, tops.” There was another excitable laugh. ”Put on that one piece I like.” -- a pause -- ”Yeah, Yeah - thats the one, that lil skinny red one - daaaang girl, you look fine in that.” A sheepish grin graced his face as he closed the phone down with a loud clap.

Zane’s grey tank top hung loosely off one of his broad shoulders. She shrugged at a poor homeless man on the side of the street. Ramone had taken the last bit of the money he had - cleaned him out dry. He raised his arms in a questionable apology as he turned into the next street in the general direction of the station. The man was toying with a silver coin he had - it wasn’t anything fancy or special - it was n heirloom for him something his father gave him - told him it was worthless but it held power. It was his father's first quarter before he became a big and powerful business owning 3 trade corporations before he had died of a heart attack - too many late nights working, or too many whores. Whichever.

As he was walking he was minding his own business essentially. He wasn’t alert - considering this was his neck of the words - this area, no one fucked with him so the light little tug this ***** did against his dreads pulled him back instantly, catching him off guard as his toe caught inbetween two slabs of pavement. Zane cursed, inwardly at first as he tried to balance himself. Adrenaline kicking in. He waved his arms in the air before clawing at the wall to the side of him, the scraping sound it made went straight through him. Causing his back to shiver. His nails filing down, very quickly he could feel his fingers getting moist with the blood that was slowly seeping from the tips of his fingers - his own fault really.

After a few moments he did steady himself. He was getting dragged backwards back into an alleyway. Zane was more than capable of taking control. He pushed what body strength he had. He spun around breaking contact between the hand and his dread unlinking them - she then took a quick look at the small, meek woman - he had dragged her? For a second he doubted it - he wasn't sexist or anything but jesus.

He let his ‘nice’ thinking go aside now, as he pushed his arm against the throat of this woman pushing her back against the wall of the alleyway. White pearly teeth glinting at the woman, in a smug little smile the tables had turned.

”Who the **** are you, and why the **** did you pull on my hair you little *****.”

There was a happy little smile on Harmony’s face as she tugged Valentine into the alley. She was so excited. It had been so long since she had company, and she couldn’t wait to find out where he had been. It wasn’t like her Valentine to leave her on her own for so long. As she was so prone to wandering off, he very rarely ever let her out of his sight. Harmony didn’t realize that this man wasn’t who she thought he was. It never ever crossed her mind, until her back met the brick wall of the building behind her, and there was an arm against her throat, pinning her in place.

The man was glaring at her with such hatred. He called her a ***** and the stinging bite to his words made her whimper in fear. Her Valentine would have never treated her in such a way. He was always kind to her, very gentle in action and word, treating her as one would treat a small child, or a wounded animal. In a way, that was exactly what she was. Harmony sucked in a breath that she didn’t need and licked her dry, cracked lips. “You’re a very mean man,” she whispered. Tears filled her large, honey colored eyes and she sniffled. This was not going her way at all.

She decided to leave. Valentine had to be waiting for her out there somewhere and she needed to find him. But she was still starving, and she was still being held against her will. She wiggled against the wall, but this strange man that she had mistaken for her very best friend had her pinned good. Harmony didn’t realize that she had more strength in her pinky than he had in his entire body, but when she couldn’t get free from him by wiggling she panicked and shouted directly into his mind. ”LET GO! LETMEGOLETMEGOLETME GOOOOOOO!”

She hit the ground, landing painfully on her bottom when he released her in surprise. “Ouch,” she whimpered. “You hurt me,” she practically whined as she glared up at him. As she did so, she was able to smell blood. Fresh blood. And it was coming from the man who wasn’t Valentine. Her nose twitched. Harmony pushed herself onto her hands and knees and crawled towards the him. Reaching out, she snatched his hand and inhaled that delicious scent. Her grip was like iron, bruising and unforgiving. “You smell delicious,” she said with so much clarity that she sounded like a different person.

Harmony was so hungry. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d fed, but she was sure it had been a couple of days. Valentine wasn’t there to remind her to eat. Fast as lightning, Harmony yanked the man to the ground with her. “I won’t make a mess,” she said solemnly seconds before she bit into the side of his neck and drank deeply.

She was whining about how he had hurt her. HE hurt her? He grumbled under his breath and shook his head very very slowly. In a counter clockwise direction whilst his fingers rubbed at his temples before those orbs of his - those milk chocolate hues, nonetheless looked directly at the woman who was squirming and wriggling in his other arm. She wanted him to let go of her he could feel it in the way she moved against him - if he wasn’t careful he could get quite horny over it - but he didn't want her to know that so he shimmied his hips to the other side away from the strange woman.

It was then that he felt the words enter his mind - no, scream into his mind! She was screaming at him to let go. Yet her lips didn’t move. He let go of her then - not because she asked for it but because he had been taken aback by the voice in his mind.

”What the hell.” The words came from his mouth as he clutched at his temple. This was turning into one ******* weird night - he just wanted to go see his girl, and get his leg over - that was all none of this ********. As he looked closer at this woman - he noticed her pale flesh. Her dry lips - she wasn’t taking care of herself - and he could tell straight away that she was a vampire. His blood thief instincts told him as much.

She dropped to the floor then - or maybe she had done that before, and he had only just now noticed he couldn’t tell. When he looked to her then those chocolate hues once again observing her poor unnourished state he felt a wave of pity for her, a wave of pity for a vampire? He was surprised.

The sounds within his mind diminished leaving just his own voice and he could see how the vampire was crawling towards him now on all fours. He blinked and took an uneasy step back. She told him that he smelt delicious and he knew exactly what that meant. Both his hands raised in the air in a waving motion. A stopping in motion. ”Nope. Not me. All bones. No blood.” He was acting like a child. He had no further time to react, she was quick.

Like the flash. The DC program. Her fangs were already submerged into his neck - draining his life force. He struggled for a brief second but couldn't move - he gave up. Succumbing to the blood loss.
