voice calls out as he heard her heartbeat, his eyes searching through the dark tint of his shades for her.

Narla
feels her muscles tense, jaw clenched tightly. She searches for a face to put on that voice, but when she finds him, she stares for a long while. He was the man from the night before.. Despite the reassuring words he was sending into her head, she isn't keen on coming much closer.

Narla
can barely raise her voice beyond a murmur, "W..what do you want?"

Jazir Pevinah
"I'm surprised you came all the way out here for me...thank you. I wanted to ask for a favor."

Narla
frowns slightly, sighing.. "..right.."

Narla
What is it..?

Jazir Pevinah
"I want to introduce you to a friend of mine..."

Jazir Pevinah
nods towards Mathias, eyes him in an adoring sort of way and then grins before glancing back at her.

"His name is Mathias.

looks at Jazir and then Narla curiously and then nods at Narla, eyes focused on her before dropping away politely.

"Nice to meet you."

Narla
winces at her own forgetfulness. He's still in her head.. She eyes Mathias with a muted curiosity, but stays right where she is. No closer or further. "..Hi..." she answers, hesitant..

Narla
stares between them, trying to understand what they're getting at.

Jazir Pevinah
"I didn't get the opportunity to say hello to you directly the other night..but I know you saw me up on stage. I had a few simple questions for you? After you answer them I can walk you back to the edge of the wilderness to the city so that you're safe?"

Narla
frowns deeply, looking off to a side as if something else was frustrating her. "What do you want to know?"

Jazir Pevinah
"Do you know about vampires. Things have changed so much since I dared to venture outside my apartment."

Jazir Pevinah
hands slowly lift up, open palms and spread fingers, his eyes widening a little behind the sunglasses. Holds the unarmed gesture carefully.

Narla
keeps her eyes averted, "I've heard of them.."

Jazir Pevinah
"What do you think about them...? From what you've heard?"

Narla
They're people.. just.. different..

Jazir Pevinah
"I agree."

Jazir Pevinah
reaches up to drag sunglasses down his nose a little so can eye her over it.

Jazir Pevinah
"I have the ability to pay you...to shelter you if you needed it, if you did not then that is fine? But in return I want to know if you would be willing to help Mathias regain the strength I've stolen from him."

Jazir Pevinah
"It's dangerous for someone who is just a person...that is different...to survive in Harper Rock now...and I don't want to put him in danger."

Narla
crosses her arms, nails digging into her jacket sleeves. She ventures a glance at Jazir and Mathias again, "You want me to feed him.."

Jazir Pevinah
"Consensually. And only as much as you were willing to give. I can offer any amount that would make it something that would benefit you? I'm willing to pay 2,000 for any time we ask for help? It is not something I offer because I don't see the value in your blood, I offer it because I do and it is all I have as an asset. I love him and I will offer whatever is necessary to keep him strong."

Mathias
looks at Jazir at hearing all of this, eyes are a little wide, wasn't really expecting this, but is still getting through the amnesia part of being back among the land of the living, so to speak. He glances at Narla, but doesn't say anything, doesn't try to push for anything, knows it's an intense situation to be in.

Narla
sighs and swallows a knot in her throat. "Okay..."

Narla
Let's see how long it lasts..

Jazir Pevinah
can't not smile, the sharp glint of lethal fang something that would never threaten her given his 'secret'. The relief that washed through him had him nodding. His gaze turning to Mathias.

Jazir Pevinah
"Only as long as you want it to...send me an email if you don't feel comfortable meeting me in person...I'll get it..."

lifts his hand to tap against the side of his head.

Narla
smiles bitterly.

I don't know how it works.. I've only seen the movies..

looks at Narla and then manages a small smile.

Jazir Pevinah
moves to pat down clothes and go in search of the money he had, finds instead a small furred body escaping to clamber up to his shoulder and nip at his ear. Yelps and then winds up half wrestling with the ferret.

Jazir Pevinah
"What is this?!"

Mathias
"Thank you, Narla...and it doesn't hurt too badly. The bite isn't too bad and I'll heal it before you go."

Mathias
laughs at Jazir finding the ferret, eyes him.

Jazir Pevinah
juggles the animal. The pretty black and white fur flowing through his hands like water as he attempted to set it down without it clinging to a leg and clambering back up his foot.

Jazir Pevinah
"You gave this too me?"

Narla
nods subtly to Mathias, but finds some humor in the little animal making a jungle gym out of Jazir..

Mathias
moves to approach Narla, walks slowly and lifts gaze to actually meet her eyes.

Mathias
"I did give it to you, Jaz. You needed a friend...and he reminded me of you."

Mathias
focuses on Narla again as gets close to her.

Jazir Pevinah
can't shake the stubborn creature and winds up with hands poised to detach and defend if it crawled to far up his pants leg. Narrows eyes at it and then glances at Mathias.

Jazir Pevinah
"I've never had a pet before."

Narla
's heart sprints, but she stays where she is. Even with acceptance she was nervous...afraid.

Mathias
smiles reassuringly at Narla, can hear her heartbeat.

Narla
meets Mathias' eyes like a frightened deer.

Mathias
"It's alright, you're okay."

Narla
nods again, stiffly.

Mathias
nods reassuringly.

Mathias
"Anticipating it is worse than the actual thing, I promise."

Jazir Pevinah
"I don't even really remember what fangs felt like. I was too busy being eaten by zombies when my Sire turned me to even feel her kiss..."

Narla
winces, "I've.. been attacked by those before...That.. wasn't fun..

Jazir Pevinah
"I still have nightmares..."

Narla
efforts a little laugh.

Narla
Yeah..

takes a breath and pulls her hood down, then very shakily ties up her hair.

Mathias
gets close enough to settle hands against her shoulders and then ducks his head down to her shoulder and lets fangs slip into her neck before he feeds carefully, keeping a grip on her upper arms. The sudden sweet taste of blood hits his tongue and gums, and nearly floors him and his eyes widen. He sucks in a breath through his nose, has to calm himself for a moment before he manages to gain some control back and take only what he needs before pulling back, sealing the wound and licking his lips clean, and making sure Narla was steady on her feet before stepping back and letting go of her.

"Thank you, Narla."

"I really do appreciate it."

Narla
braces herself when Mathias leans in and sinks his teeth into her neck, his strong grip holding her in place. She felt the break of her skin, but before she could register it enough something else washed offer her. She felt her body relax and warm up, soon she was in some unexplainable place of peace. Like a pool of swaying waters, shifting in lulling shallow waves. She forgot where she was, and why she was there, but when Mathias finished his feeding Narla slowly broke from the stupor with a confused look on her face. "Hnuh?" She slowly grasps her way into an understanding of what was going on around her. There was a man, a ferret, another man.. this is familiar. After a couple more beats, she could place what had happened, the deal she made. "..uh..yeah.."

"I can follow you back to town Narla, deposit the money for you."

Narla
holds her head, then her neck. She could feel the tenderness of the spot Mathias bit her, but it was nearly gone at that point. "Okay.." She looks up at Mathias, still getting over her surprise, and manages a slight smile.

Jazir Pevinah
"You might feel a little light headed. If you're comfortable with it I'll hold your hand to make sure you don't stumble? There's a lot of pits in the ground out here and loose branches."

Narla
nods slowly, to avoid aggravating light-headedness further. "Okay.."

Jazir Pevinah
moves to step her way and catch up her hand, legitimately takes her arm and supports her. Still has the ferret clinging to one leg but ignores the beast. Helps guide her back through the wilderness away from the citadel.

Narla
follows along carefully to avoid tripping over her own feet.

Jazir Pevinah
doesn't stop until is standing on the edge of the street with her.

"Will you feel okay getting home on your own or do you need a place to rest?"

Narla
I should be fine..Can grab something to eat..

Jazir Pevinah
"Here...you've more than earned this and if you need anything don't hesitate to search me out?"

slips the money out of his pockets and offers it to her.

Narla
accepts the money and sluggishly slips it into her inner jacket pocket. "Okay.. I will. Just be safe.."

Jazir Pevinah
drags her into a hug unexpectedly, the fine trembles felt in his body even if he didn't seem like he was anything other than composed. Kisses the top of her head lightly.

Jazir Pevinah
"Thank you so much. I admire you for choosing to help us despite your fear. 'You' be safe."

Narla
's eyes widen when she is pulled into a hug, and even kissed on her head. She wasn't sure how to react. It took her a moment, in fact, to figure out what to say, "I..I will.."

Jazir Pevinah
"I don't think the wishes for peace are too far fetched...I have yet to be hunted and shunned since leaving my apartment after hiding for so long."

Jazir Pevinah
releases her, a hand on her shoulder squeezing lightly and then nods.

Jazir Pevinah
"I will email you...if we need help again. I'll only touch your mind if you reach for me first."

Narla
looks at his hand on her shoulder, then lifts her sights to his face. "Thank you... I'd appreciate that... I'll always have my phone on me when you do.."

Jazir Pevinah
nods.

"I can call you then if I'm desperate not to talk to myself."

Mathias changes nickname to Vi

Narla
considers it with a smile caught between sour, and pleasantly surprised, "Sure... I guess.. Um.." She takes out her phone and fumbles through the text settings for her own phone number.

Narla
takes a couple minutes but she finds it and shows Jazir. "Here."

Jazir Pevinah
slips his own phone out and takes down her number, keying around to show her his own and then turn the screen so she could see it.

"Far less intrusive that way."

Narla
types down the number into hers, trying not to show her embarrassment. "Okay. Just call me when you feel like it.."

"Thanks."

turns to go search Mathias out again and drag him through the city to meet up with another friend.
