new icon image unable to change/upload [x]

Suzette's grid icon image was the default one (the thumbnail I had been using was too large) so I went and resized my image and put the new url in on the character settings page but no matter how many times I did this and hit save changes, it kept reverting back to the default icon.

and just curious, are the vampire's default icons going to stay the icon images of their path? Cus I could see some ooc/ic crossing result outta that...

I had this issue last night.

Josh helped me -- if you do a hard refresh (ctrl + F5, I don't know what it is for a mac) it'll work. :3

Thanks. :) <3 How does that work on a phone? and will it stay that way cus I don't think it should be that much trouble... LOL if it weren't for the default being what it is, I wouldn't even bother at this point, I've gotten so frustrated. >.< lol

If you're on an android phone, I got this from google?

Open your web browser to any page.
Press the Menu key. Select "More", then "Settings".
Scroll down. There will be three menu options: "Clear cache", "Clear history", and "Clear all cookie data".
Touch each of these three in turn, selecting "Ok" when it asks you to confirm.
Press the back button until you get back to the web browser. If it's already showing the page you want, be sure to reload it by selecting Menu, then "Refresh".

It's about the cache, according to Josh. If you can reset your cache, then it'll work.

Though you're right -- David, is there any way this can be jimmied so people don't have to do a hard refresh to get new icons to work?

I tried it every which way to Sunday >.< lol It didn't work for me. *sighs* (Chrome/Windows 10/Acer laptop (=POS) lol)

Sooooo at some point, the image did change to the icon I wanted... >.<
which I didn't even notice at first cus...

the URL on the character's settings page, never changed (still hasn't... ) to the URL of the image I'm using, despite the icon image on grid updating.

The url won't change, as your image was downloaded and saved to our server. But yeah I'm gonna need to update the game to refresh images when you upload a new one.

Default images are only that way for older characters, who are encouraged to upload a token icon image thing. New characters are given a choice between around 120 images to start the game with, so eventually nobody should be running around with a paladin symbol.
