Hit by Hunters, no notoriety [f??] (plz check)

Post by Blaize »

So, Blaize was having an issue with soldiers and cops for a second there, which seems to have gone away. He was getting hit by them without having done anything wrong -- he kills hellheims (if he kills at all), runs businesses, and feeds using somnambulism and/or luring a human into a sec 1 square. He'd been seen maybe once when trying to feed, and then one human he lured turned out to be a hunter, once. And this was a few days apart.

Since then, he's been laying low. He didn't leave The Handle Bar for about a week and now he's sitting back in the chemical plant. Again, hasn't been doing anything but run businesses, really, and kill a few Hellheims.

He's been hit by a hunter while he's sleeping 5 times in 10-11 days.

Is this normal? I had Josh check his notoriety and he says it's basically non-existent. I know hunter attacks are also random, but why are none of my numerous other characters getting hit (some of those with notoriety) but Blaize is? What's his point of difference?

Re: Hit by Hunters, no notoriety [?]

I've had this happen with Alex so I'm curious to know this as well. There's been weeks where I hack to lower her notoriety every day and she's at 'reasonably low' but still gets shot at by cops. I figure it's the city alert level and her being an allurist. But I'd LOVE to see what the 'levels' are and why some characters seem to have a red flag waving when the hunters come calling and others don't. My Wolffyn (Shadow) has had been at 'high' when Alex was only at 'standard' but not been hit.

I started a thread to ask about it before but no one nibbled. :P

It does seem a bit odd, because while hunters should indeed hit random vampires more if tensions are high, it shouldn't be as often as that.

The one thing I can think of is that somebody may have planted evidence during an evidence hack which boosted it slightly and that might have only just got down to the low numbers. If so, my bet is that the attacks will be rare from here on.

Be sure to rest him in private locations as that can help too.

It might not be a bug.

Hunter attacks are not always caused by notoriety.

Fixed. You'll still occasionally get hit by hunters even with a notoriety score of 0, but it shouldn't happen anywhere near as often. It'll be far more likely to happen if human-vampire race relations worsen.

That sucks. :( I'm so sorry Tomas, esp., as I see that you are new. Is your charry already over level ten and out of the tutorial hub?

I recommend buying blood bags as much as possible (You can pm me if you would like a good paying job for your vamp on grid.) And don't kill cops, soldiers OR security guards in B&E's.

Park Tomas in the QCC (Quartermaine Custom Creations 8,8 in the 8th Dimension Mall in Redwood, 2 moves from Wickbridge station) and poke me in a pm and I'll have Alex give him some blood heals asap. <3

Josh/David... can one of you check Tomas's notoriety, please?
