juat another night in a zombie infected city

Post by Storyteller »

Mordechai
opened his eyes, and glanced about the office. His ears let him know none of the staff wa in yet, so he headed up the stairs to the main floor, wandering the aisles, his nimble fingers drifting lightly across the many custom weapons set out on display. Since the fool comedy team of Every and Amalea let free the lich, and tore open the rift, business was booming. It was sad in a way, he had once respected Every, but no more. At least Amalea had owned up to her part, and offered to help try to stop the flood of undead into the city... But the coward Every hid in the shadows crying 'woe is me'. Shaking his head the massive killer walked to the front door and flipped the sign to open, and twisted the deadbolt. MidKnight Armaments was open for business.

Sai
tucked her hands deep into her pockets to stave off the cold as she made her way along the sidewalk. Long obsidian locks wafted behind her in the wind and her skin shone golden in the low light of the setting sun. Sai's mind wandered; she'd seemingly done one of two things since she'd arrived in Harper Rock: fight or work. Bruises lined her ribs, defensive cuts adorned the back of her small hands, and her ego had taken the biggest hit of all. She'd come out on top of most of the fights with zombies she'd engaged in but she knew that it was only a matter of time before something with a little more determination would come along and all the military training her father could offer couldn't have prepared her for that. MidKnight Armaments caught her eye as she was on her way for supplies for her shop and she caught a nonsensically large man change the sign from closed to open just as it came into view. On a whim, the half-Filipino turned on her heel and entered with the thought that preparedness would be her best bet in these new surroundings. She brushed stray strands of hair from her face and tucked a tuft of them behind her ear, offering the man a tentative smile in greeting.

Mordechai
The alarm let out a soft chime as the door opened and the killer watched as a diminutive female, well to him, entered the shop. She looked timid so the brobdingnabian stepped back giving her space. He kept the curl from his lip as he scented the deliscious scent of human wafting on the air. They needed a means of defence now as well as those of his kind. Letting his awareness expand he softly touched her mind, floating through, touching memories here and there as he appraised her, and her intent. There was no stench of paladin upon her, he would let her live todo business this night. The corners of his lips lifted slightly in answer to her proffered smile as stepped behind the counter. The smile had not reached the heterochromatic orbs that scanned her, but no doubt a glimpse of fang had flashed in the welcome. "Greetings ma'am, how may i be of service?"

Sai
caught the flash of fang as the man smiled but didn't recoil nor did she show any sign of fear at all. His energy seemed friendly enough despite his species and her smile broadened a bit, "Hello..I'm in the market for something for..um..personal protection? I guess would be the term." she stated plainly, unsure how to really broach the subject of supernatural beings -with- a supernatural being. Chocolate brown, almond shaped eyes traveled over his form and if he were observant enough, he'd catch little flecks of the most golden honey dotting her irises in a perfect ring around her pupils. She approached the case in front of where he stood and peeked in, curious what was available. She was no stranger to weaponry really but she had no idea what would be most useful for the scenarios that could pop up here. "I really don't know what would be most useful, however. Do you have any suggestions?"

Mordechai
The female gained points for not giving into what should have been an instinctual fear, and moving closer. Her eye seemed practiced as it scanned the cases, at odds with her words. Then again, there were no stock weapons in this shop. Each and every one had been lovingly hand crafted, modified, improved, many by his own hands. Reaching into the case he slipped out a dull black parkerized pistol. It had started life as a desert eagle in .50 ae, but a few days in his hands had created a much diferrent beast. Laying it down on the red velvet cushion between them he let one lithe finger trace the line of the barrel. Other than the familiar triangular shaped slide, very little of the IMI creation remained in its stock form. "You say 'personal protection' From the marks on your hands I am assuming you are speaaking of something a little more aggresive than your standard home invader or car jacker. This little beauty started life as a .50AE, but i rebarreled it for .44 magnum and laser magnaport cut it to reduce the muzzle jump and recoil to something more managable by the more petite user." Flipping it deftly his finger pointed out the features "Ambidextrous safety, Crimson Trace grips with grip activated laser sighting. The sear has been hand stoned bringing the DA pull down to

9lbs, SA to 2.5lbs. The chamber is match grade hand lapped and the set includes 6000 rounds of hand loaded hyper velosity Cor-Bon, guaranteed to stop most things you might find wandering the streets." Cocking one eye brow he queried, "Any questions about this beautiful creation?"
