A week in the life...RP Contest!

Post by Cliff Worthington »

Contest: Describe a week of your character's life now that the rift has opened wider. How it is effecting not only your characters, but the people and environment around you. Example: Neighbors, employees, abandoned shops, undead attacking and/or stumbling into your business, abandoned pets, or even people/kids. The list can go on.

PRIZE: Patron's Pin Relic.
Allows you to summon a banshee shopkeeper from anywhere except the endless labyrinth.

Contest Time: Starts on Monday, April 30th, and ends on Monday, May 14th May 28.

Rules and Stipulations:
Solo Threads Only.
Title must contain [Contest] at the beginning.
7 post minimum, one for each day.
500 word per post minimum.
As many characters as you want to enter.

This is not an everyday sort of relic. Please try your best!

Any questions?

Very good questions!.

When you are finished. I'll read over it, and make notes on the story itself. Not spelling, grammer, and punctuation. Im looking for a good story. Of how your character is handling things, for the good or bad. The story that stands out the most to me, will win. Im looking for something that gives the reader emotion, be it any emotion. Anger, happiness, sadness, any and all and everything in between.

Why not have the Moderators make the judge of that. You being the final saying of it all but having the others read and give input on a secret forum and once the final has been made, post it, Or... Just make a Poll of those who entered and have the players make the judge of it and go by that.. and now lets not have that go into a popular contest we know we have some great awesome writers and some poor ones like myself.. not everyone is perfect, something like this is very very hard to be "Fair" in. Just saying.

I'd like to keep it to just me judging. Though i'll be more than happy to take input from other people. About how the stories made them feel, what they liked and so on.

I feel like you're insinuating something, if not I apologize, if so let me clear it up.

If I just want to give the relic out to whoever, i could.
If I want to toss this thing up on the auction, I could.
David already stated I could. Either way, I wouldn't feel bad.

I opted for a contest however. Everyone is free to enter, and as long as they try their best, they'll be eligible.

Would journal entries qualify?

Neat idea. ^.^ Hope you get lots of good reads. I want to enter, just have to figure out what character to use. Looking forward to reading different perspectives, of the outbreak.

I'd prefer them to be new threads, but if you or anyone else want to make the seven posts journal entries, I won't count against it. Just pm me a link to the start of the contest posts.

Also you may enter any and all of your characters. May finish all seven posts in a day, or spread them out over the 2 weeks.
