another night on the town

Mordechai
pounces

Amaranthia
‹Amaranthia› "Well hello there, long time no see..." The woman, kept a respectable distance, not wishing to startle the killer, knowing just how a surprised warrior might naturally react to being startled.

Amaranthia
starts laughing "I think I've been missed, maybe just a little..."

Mordechai
nods, a light sparkle dancing in his eyes, "indeed, you are different, you intrique"

Amaranthia
allowed the corners of her lips to turn upwards just a hint of that smile upon her lips, though her eyes held no such reservations. She leaned up on her tippy toes to press a kiss to his cheek. "How have you been?"

Mordechai
warring emotions crossed the normally stoic face, "I live still, but their are many plots afoot with in this city" letting one hand cup the diminutive womans cheek lingeringly his eyes focused deep on hers.

Mordechai
"Be careful, lady Amara, I am drawn to all coners of this city in a battle to protect us, i cannot always be here to protect you"

Amaranthia
's brow furrowed at the warring emotions upon his expression, she leaned in to his touch her eyes not hesitating to meet his "I've heard rumors...you have my word, I have taken solitude in The Necropolis which seems at this point to be unmolested."

Mordechai
"I have tried, to often be in this area, checking you are safe inside, and the detrius does not accumulate outside, but of late, much wory has been created by the sirens in the north"

Amaranthia
"I was unaware, is there a better location you would recommend? I am not against it if it would bring you peace."

Mordechai
"it appears that as of now, this is as safe as any"his eyes stated once more to twinkle, "I do not mind the walk to check upon your safety" his smile widens, "The view is quite breathtaking"

Amaranthia
might have blushed, She slipped her arm into the crook of his own thankful for the extra height afforded by her boots "You've grown, my dear. What else has come to pass in my silence?".

Mordechai
"in terms of the city, the sirens become more bold, the puppet mayor has started some game and expects us all to dance. I have gone to war, and visited the spirits, tho sent some on a tour of that realm as well"

Mordechai
"As far as me..." He paused as felt a slight heating in her cheek, "This city has become tedious, the weeks alone beging to wear"

Amaranthia
frowned "The solitude is like a siren to the shadows for myself, I can understand why it would wear upon you. Might that I could alleviate such that ails you, if only for this evening."

Mordechai
leaned against the wall, letting his height slump slightly so that he did not tower, "Your voice is a balm. It is when I am deep with in the labyrinth, many weeks in, many layers beneath this earth we walk, when it strikes hardest, those days as the sun rises outside, I let the sweet sount of your voice drift from my memories to my ears, and rest becomes peaceful"

Amaranthia
"Now that...that I can assist with, I've reclaimed many of my former abilities and talents. I shall endeavor to whisper to your mind words of comfort when you go where I cannot follow." Her fingers idly trace where they rest upon his arm. She did not mind his towering, his height in her mind was an advantage, she must make an effort to help him learn it for himself. She preferred him in his honesty, for she had lived far too long with false and half truths.

Mordechai
A true smile slipped across his lips, a thin white line appearing between his parted lips "That would be... precious. This night, I will spend with in your walls, if it would please you"

Amaranthia
grinned, quite sure he meant the double entendre, and it was not lost on her. "Well, usually there are a few preliminary steps before that point...but you are always welcome within my walls." The light of his smile gave her heart peace, "The change suits you, though I wish I'd been more aware to watch the development. The sirens cannot stand against you."

Mordechai
Although there was no twitch to the well disciplined muscles, almost he scooped her into his arms, instead he pressed open the door to the necropolis as he gently slipped fingers around he soft but toned bicep, "Perhaps a drink, madame?"

Mordechai
her*]]

Amaranthia
"I would find that most pleasing" She looked up to him, offering him a genuine smile, letting him guide her steps inside to a booth with adequate privacy. "One of these days I'm going to trick you into a dance as well as a drink." She winked at him, reaching up to brush the hair framing his face.

Mordechai
His mind wandered uncharacteristically at her words, as visions of her, him, them, flashed over the nueral screens usually recerved for tactical calculations and profect ballistics. For a split second his eyes lost focus as he considered the possibilities, calculating risks, and outcomes... "Some night. some night I would honor your request." Slipping his card to the waitress, he sipped lightly at the 'special' concoction, although he was well fed, to keep the appearance still. "I would dance with you"

Amaranthia
"So tell me about the progress you've made, I hear rumors but as you know by my nature I do not venture far from my walls. I cannot stay abreast of all the goings ons." Her gaze remained upon him, as she seated herself adjacent to his own seating. Far more relaxed than his own respect and decorum, it amused her in some ways given she the elder would be the more relaxed of the two.

Mordechai
The killer sat quietly for a moment, "Progress has been made on a few fronts.. " A soft sigh slid out has he thought on the topic, "I do not think that kennedy is returning to walk this path. Her sleep has surpassed two years now. The lionelli, have been reduced to a mere nuisance as compared to the new dangers to the north. Your scent is exquisite."

Amaranthia
nodded slowly at the progress update, "I told you once I would not lie to you, I cannot say this latter news displeases me save for the pain it might cause you. I believe you to be correct in your deduction. It is of great relief that the Lionelli have been contained, what are the dangers in the north?" She smiled at his last comment, thinking to herself that she wouldn't mind mingling their scents. "I miss your particular scent myself..." Her eyes did not shy from his as she made such a comment.

Mordechai
"the hebigumo foundation began excavations near the mansion, the mansion that centers in the story you once told me" he paused covering her hand with his, the thumb trasing the delicate bones. " They uncovered a labyrinth of tunnels, that I now truly believe should have been left covered. The foundation is but a front for the sirens, the drider."

Mordechai
"They seek our end, I believe"

Amaranthia
furrowed her brow as he mentioned the old mansion. She took comfort in his hand tracing her own and leaned into it, placing her other hand to cup the side of his even as it dwarfed her own. "Sometimes history protects us by burying her secrets. We will not allow them to produce our end. What can I do to help?"
