how to turn off flashing images

some of the art (banners specifically) that flashes or blinks rapidly really bothers my eyes and gives me awful headaches. It happened a few years ago and someone told me a way to 'turn them off' on the forum for my own viewing but I have forgotten how or who shared this supergreen trick with me.
And I need a fix, man. I need it BAD...

As they're hosted from another site, it doesn't seem like it'll work. I just tried what I thought it was - turning off Flash Animations, but one of the GIF banners is still working.

However, you can turn off all signatures by doing the following:


Try the UCP > Board Preferences > Edit Display Options > Display Signatures

Brightly colored banners sometimes get me when I have a migraine, so I bounce back and forth between turning on and off. xD

I've turned off one image before just by right clicking the one you don't like. There should be an option in there to block it. It works on Chrome, anyhow.

I thought so! I am on chrome now however and that option no longer shows up for me.

Get the Adblock Plus add on for chrome.

Then when you right click an image - it gives you an option to "block element".

I tend to block at gif banners.

YES!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 that did the trick! Now I can read a few threads I have had to avoid without fear of having a stroke or having to turn off all sigs! Thank you again SO MUCH!!! <3
