I'm not sure what's going on, but gideon is set to defend Esli. Esli has been shot three times, yet gideon hasn't attempted to defend him one time. Yet they are sitting together on grid...

The guys will need to offer feedback on this to be positive but I'm fairly certain that it's another random roll on the chances of whether or not you actually will defend an ally, same as flee or retail are.

Whether or not the odds can be stacked to increase that I don't know but besides making sure that your character is listed on their character's allies, being members of the same faction and/or team *may* increase the probability of a positive outcome.

Also your characters stats, like dexterity, play a factor. But it's never 100%, not much is.

I actually got more information.
Apparently esli is on someone's enemy list, so he's been attacked that way. Still, I'm curious as to why gids didn't jump to defend when shot, even with it being whatever those forms of attack are called. Ric jumped to doms defense first time, so does code not have that form of attack in it?

Ahhh, yeah. I am sure that makes a diff. But as to the rest, I can't speculate. <3

I was on iPhone at work moving Esli fast after moving Dominique. I went after npcs quick and due to my error he stepped yet again into the square with Doc, Dominique and Ric in it to kill an npc. Honestly more should have happened to Esli after talking to Becca. Liz is set to defend Doc being hit, so is Dominique as well. Esli is lucky given those that could have jumped in based on AI settings alone did not. Especially with Dominique and Elizabeth stats.

Does Gideon Barnes have Esli in his Allies list?

Had he moved at all in the last 15-20 minutes?

So tested this whole mess. Leaving Esli there for Doc to swat if that is needed. But Dominique did not retaliate on Doc's behalf when Esli hit this time with a sword. Nor did Liz or Gideon for that matter to help with Eslis most recent attack.

Roderic, and liz came to defend doc when esli hit doc. But just sat in the square...what does defend ally actually do, other then move characters to the same square.

And d yes. Esli is on gids list. Of course

How long was Gid left to rest before the attacks happened in question?

And Esli's ally list is up to date/includes Gid?

Time didn't seem to matter on ric or Liz's behalf. Ran them before gids. Like minutes, if that.
