Doc
stood just inside the door, "Party of two. She's petite.. brunette.. blue eyes.. Elizabeth?"

Elizabeth
She had asked to be seated towards the back of the restaraunt, mostly because it seemed to have the least amount of people in the area, which meant the least amount of eyes and ears. A bottle of red wine had been ordered, but remained in the center of the circular table she sat at. Her blue eyes remained on the door, somewhat expectantly for him. A matre de spotted Doc before she did, and then nodded his head. "Right this way, sir." He extended his hand in Elizabeth's direction, then moved to take him to the table.

Doc
Doc had left the cathedral an hour earlier, to get ready. At the time he didn't know what she had planned, and he was open to whatever she wanted. Having time with her was the important thing. However when she suggested a steak place, that had take him aback. He had not ever considered that in his realm of possibilities, which, in his mind made it all the better. As the matre de escorted him to Elizabeth he subconsciously adjusted his cuffs, image was important. He wanted to make sure everything went well. Once at the table, he gave her a crooked smirk, "Lizzie.. you look lovely as always.." Nodding, he dismissed the matre de as he took his seat. "I approve of the location.. " They were in the back, all areas visible, nothing hidden. Easy access to two exits if needed.

Elizabeth
The location had been one of convience, mostly. She had been at another store, looking for something, to no such luck, then walked the width of the market, realizing it has been some time since Elizabeth had been to this market. "Well, I saw they had wine on their menu outside and it seemed relatively quiet. It could be given the night of the week...or, it could be saying something about the menu or staff. Let us hope it is neither of those two latter things." She smiled and glanced down at what she was wearing. Charles was, and always would be a flatterer, not that Elizabeth minded in the slightest. "Sit. Join me." She looked at the two chairs closest to her, then the one across from her, allowing him to make the choice on where he wanted to sit.

Doc
Doc chose the one across from her, so he could see her when she spoke. he liked the seeing the subtle nuances that danced across her face, at any given moment. At times it annoyance, with him, but he still enjoyed seeing the. For as even and polite that she came across, it was the little things that he liked. She had a smirk similar to his. And when that eyebrow of hers raised ever so slightly, he knew to watch his next works. But mostly he just wanted to look at her. "Thank you.. " He got comfortable, then added, "I have been busy since we last spoke. I have officially turned in my paperwork for a councilman seat. Swansdale district.."

Elizabeth
She waited until he sat, which allowed her to listen to his words. Elizabeth smiled, glad to see things back on track, so to speak. After the 'cure' business, Doc had seemed uncertain about how to progress, but here he was...progressing. "Any reason as to that district?" She asked, watching a waiter she had seen a few minutes before Doc arrived bring another wine glass for Doc. "It is very residential, yes?" Her brows knit together, wondering if that had been intentional on Doc's end, before she grabbed the bottle that had been opened, and poured them each a glass.

Doc
"Yes.. to run for a council seat, you have to live in the district you wish to represent. I have a home in the Larch estates neighborhood." He paused and cants his head slightly to the side, "Remember the house that was blown to bits due to bad a gas main?" He calculated slightly, "Three years ago.. about this time? That was mine." He leaned forward and said softly, "It wasn't a bad gas main. Dominique bombed this crap out of it. It was nothing but splinters." He smiled, though he was unaware of smiling, that had been a good hunt. At times he thought he wouldnt succeed, but he did.

Elizabeth
The house seemed vaguely familiar, something she had heard, but hadn't thought of until...now. "Bombed? Really?" Her head tipped to the right, an amused smirk upon her features, while Elizabeth collected her glass and brought it to her lips. Elizabeth took a sip from the glass, her eyes evenly on Doc as she tried to collect her thoughts; or rather, how to broach the things upon her mind. "A few evenings ago, I shared a thought with you. The thought has been within my mind some time before sharing it with thee and still remains."

Doc
Doc nodded as she queried about the house. He was about to explain further, but she changed the subject. She had shared a thought with him. ****. Which thought is she talking about? He had already agreed to monogamy. Had he not made himself clear? Should he reiterate it now? **** no. 'Just nod and listen. Reply after. You will only **** this up. Nod and listen.' His brain screamed, yet part of him really wanted to reiterate his agreement with monogamy. However, he did what what his brain said, he nodded politely, and waited for her to expound on her thought.

Elizabeth
He was nodding and not saying anything. TO Elizabeth, it indicated that he either disagreed with her thoughts and did not wish to express them, or DOc had no idea which thought she was speaking of. "Let us pretend, for a moment that this Cure was real...then, occasionally, there is someone spouting off how they have made these monsterous fadebeasts...pretend that claim too, is real. Did you know there was a place near the abandon mansion north of the city? Things inside I have never seen...much like the werewolves in Tomkin or the other things in Chalktown. I expressed concern over the potential of something far more...sinister." She set the glass down and frowned heavily. "Is it possible that someone could be making such things?"

Doc
Doc's face didn't change, but his brain, went, 'Oh! THAT thought.' His brow furrowed as he listened to her fleshed out thought. "Yes. It is more than possible." He schooled his face to show none of the true disgust he felt as he spoke. "Blake. I do not know if you know him. But he claims to be the architect of the Fadebeasts. He is rather proud of it. He.. " Doc paused and counted to five, "She.. " He rolled his eyes, "Never misses an occasion to lay claim to it and repeat it ad nauseum, as though ... " He stopped. He wasn't going to go there. "I wouldn't put it past him to have a hand in it still." He wanted to warn her to keep her distance from Blake. But She may already know him. Her. And She may like him. Her. It. "These things you havent seen.. but know of.. how do you know of them?"

Elizabeth
The mention of Blake's name brought a light of recognition to Elizabeth's face, before she nodded her head. Did she think Blake capable of creating such a thing? Not single handely, no. But...perhaps with the assistance of Staus. It could be possible. "I saw them, recently. In that underground place besides the old abanoned Mansion. Briefly." Her frown grew a little harder. "I came across a subsection, if you will. tombs, of who knows what, or who was buried there. Creatures keeping guard over items, such as this one." She paused, reached down to the bag near her feet and pulled it open. A stone table with writing she was not familiar with was placed on the table and pushed towards him. "I do not know the language. I had tried to get it assessed here, but the place of business was already closed."

Doc
Doc turned the stone tablet so he could see it more clearly. Sometimes it was what wasn't there that could be the key. But the lighting in the restaurant was really conducive to a proper and thorough examination. Nor was the location correct. If other patrons made note of their interest, if could cause undue attention. He Picked up his wine glass and sipped, "It doesn't look familiar to me." He frowned and then looked at her, "Remember when we were in Italy.. the occult shop? Did you know there is one here .. in Harper Rock. I met the owner, she's .. like us.Maybe she would have some insight on it?"

Doc
(in the restaurant was = WASNT)

Elizabeth
Again, she nodded. "I remember." Elizabeth acknowledged before, pursing her lips in thought. "Perhaps, one would be so kind to point me in the right direction of where one could find this owner..." Elizabeth pondered openly, before she leaned forward and crossed both her arms over the tablet, as if keeping it hidden. "But...all these new things, or seemingly new..." She frowned. "I do not wish to discuss things too intently in such a venue, but...I have my concerns. Especially with that place, where something may, or may not have been."

Doc
Doc helped her by sipping his wine, and dabbing his mouth with his napkin and dropping in such a manner as to help cover the tablet's exit from the table, should she wish to remove it. His voice was low, and intimate to her alone, "Her name is Maryl. She is a fledge. Her sire is a **** for brains that left her to deal on her own. She is struggling. But I have met her, outside of her business. If you would like, I can reach out to her.. see if she is in the position to help with a deciphering?I am not promising she will know. But she claimed to be an expert in the field, before.. her recent transition." He canted his head slightly, "She could probably use a mentor.. " He eyed Lizzie, "Female to female.. " He left the unasked, but obvious question lingering out there for her.

Elizabeth
Elizabeth tucked the name away for now, then gave Doc an appreciative look as the tablet was reclaimed by both her hands and moved back into the bag near her feet. "That would be most helpful...perhaps she and I could come to an understanding...arrangement, that is beneficial for both of us." Her lips bore a smile, briefly. "If you win, which I hope you do...I must confess that there is a small part of me that, while thrilled for thee, I will feel concern at the same time. Someone you know, blew up your residence...someone you do not know, may next time." She sighe softly, before laughing softly. "Or...something." She shook her head. "It seems some of us may have enemies from multiple points

Doc
"My official residence is in Larch.. But I rarely stay there." Doc nodded at her last few statements, "And I think I have more than most. Which is all the more reason to visit.. but not stay." he reached across the table to take her hand, "Although, if they attempt to blow up my house again.. It must mean I am doing something.. right.. yes?" He squeezed her hand, "Besides, I have found this awesome sofa.. I sleep so well on it.. "

Elizabeth
There was a soft laugh that passed through Elizabeth's lips, her eyes flicking down to his hand. Her fingers laced through his, as she shook her head. "I trust and believe that you are at least one, or two steps ahead of anything that comes your way, but three- She paused her thoughts, then smiled. "Is always better, yes?" She squeezed his fingers, while the right side of her lips twisted. "The couch is an antique, the bed is much more comfortable and warmer." Her shoulders raised into a small, seemingly casual shrug.

Doc
Doc was caressing her hand with his thumb when he stopped, and looked at her pointedly. He had always slipped in an out unnoticed he thought. He opened his mouth. Shut it. Narrowed his eyes, "You know?" The question was asked more in a perplexed, who did she know.. way; than any other way. He was careful. Silent. He was a ******* shadow! And she knew! ****! SHE KNEW! 'Apologize.. apologize right now!' His brain screamed. And he obeyed. "I apologize.. I was only.. " He stopped. 'No.. do not say that! Just apologize!' ****! "No harm meant.. "

Elizabeth
There was a flicker of amusement within her eyes. "Well, I certainly do now." She teased, before Elizabeth shook her head. "I came upon thee once. Not long after you had shot me. And kindly relieved thee of all your bullets." Her head tipped to the other side. "Did one not wonder where they had all gone to?"

Doc
Doc looked at her. He pressed his lips together. No he hadn't. He hadn't even realized, because he had gone home and cleaned them. All of them. She had a point, he should have noticed. But he hadn't. He needed to be on his guard, more so now.. due to the civil unrest, than ever before, but this told him, Lizzie was his blindspot. A blindspot once discovered was great, but the implications of what could have happened during all that time time weighed heavy on him. He could have gotten her killed. ****.
