The Missing

It was briefly covered in another thread, before the thread dissolved into hate speech and tit vs tat.

There are a lot of missing in our city. We need to come together as a community to help each other.

Some of the missing could be victims of crime; victims of the opioid crisis; some may just wish to be gone for their own reasons.

If you are one of the 'purposely' missing, I urge you to let your family know you are well.

If you are one of the many struggling with opioid addiction, and you want help, Starlight Research Institute offers grants to pay for treatment, to sufferers who are willing to get treatment.

If you are the loved one of someone missing, I think it behooves us to start a citizen owned database of the missing; since the police cannot share information about ongoing investigations.

The more eyes that have access to the details of the missing.. more eyes that are able to help if they are spotted.

If that is the case, as I do not wish us to be in a police state by any mean, then perhaps lending these soldiers aid to find those who are missing would be the right call.

If someone is missing legitimately because they don't want to be found, they probably have their reasons and will not come forward. If something happened, then I doubt those involved will want to come forward. No one, vampire or human, likes to own up to responsivity if it comes down to necessities.

I really hope something comes of this, though. It would be wonderful to see, but I just can't see it happening with all the bad out there.
