The Killer and the Witch (Mordechai)

Post by Mornir (DELETED 9698) »

They had told her she was always magical. She was conceived during a ritual of their one true pantheon. Yet she was born on Samhain. Which to the coven meant she was a prodigy. No one
had thought this was a bad sign. For this meant she was born on the New Year. She was death and birth all at the same time. She was the child that was supposed to control the fates of the
witches.

The minute she took her first breath the coven controlled her. The blue eyed baby with the bright yellow hair. Her parents were not even allowed to raise her and strangely they were
okay with that. The minute her mother birthed her she went straight to the eldest in her coven. The coven that worshipped the sun. The goddess in which wore stones of yellow, the god who wore gold all over his body. The coven that shunned the night.

Mornir could remember the elders sitting with her. She could remember being punished each time she snuck out to speak to the moon. To gaze at the beauty. The elders would begin
teaching her simple spells at the age of three. They would praise her dote on her. Her hair would be braided with such delicacy flowers of the sun would be placed in it. With each day thatpassed the little girl would become stronger. Spells would begin to become more powerful and the coven knew that this young witch would lead them or so they thought.

Around the age of sixteen her hair had begun to darken. All the witches whispered on how the sun was leaving the young witch’s body. As she continued to do spells they would realize
marks would appear on her body. The marks of the evil would begin to tattoo onto her body or so they thought. In turned out that when she loved something so much they would appear onto her skin.

As months turned into years the young witch became a woman. A woman who had never been outside on her own. The woman who was home schooled and watched over like a hawk because they were afraid of her. Raven hair cascaded over her shoulders as ice blue eyes peered at them all. The prodigy had turned into the sinner. The fates of the witches were doomed. Many had questioned what they had done wrong. Others began to take their own life.

They did not wish to disappoint the sun goddess and god with having the daughter of the darkness in their coven. Her own parents were one of these. The guilt and shame filled them so
much Mornir had found their body in the temple. A note apologizing to the elders for the disgrace they had birthed. Anger filled her. Rage that burned so deep in her soul that the candles burst into flames. Flames so high that the temple began to wither from the heat and would soon would crumble to the ground as she stood in the middle and watched. How could those she loved so much hurt her like this? She had not asked for black hair. She had not asked for any of this. Yet they had pushed it upon her. They had pushed her so far they were going to pay. They wanted darkness she was going to give it to them.

They called it the new moon. The moon in which was not shown. The moon that was so black no one could see it for it was getting ready to appear in the next few days. The coven circled the woman in the middle. All their eyes bore into her soul judging her for everything she had done. Blood soaked the floor they were standing on. The walls around them were scorched with flames. Many of the coven lay dead as Mornir stood boring back at them, making their bodies cringe in fear.

“I have never done a thing wrong to anyone and yet because of my hair…my skin you forsake me. My own parents ended their life because of you. Because of how you perceive
me!”

Her voice echoed the walls as the elders began to chant.
“You will leave here. You will never return. You will be banned to the city of the damned. Where the darkness lives. Where the dead rise and worship the moon. You will forever be cursed by
the coven of the sun. May the goddess have mercy with your soul, Mornir.”

With that the coven disappeared and she stood in a new place. A place she had never seen before a place where the moon was so beautiful she couldn’t help but fall in love. Turning in circles she began to walk around. She had no clue where she was going but shedidn’t care. She had a bag with all her belongings and that was all that mattered.

The killer silently slipped out the door at the rear of the warehouse. Another infestation of the damned fae wiped out. Soon he was going to have to head south into the wilderness and start a concerted effort to eradicate them in their home. This time he had fought his way to the end, gotten through them all, and slid his blade into the chest of their self styled leader. The roar it had released was loud, but few could walk away with their heart cleaved in two. His pack was full, piled with bones and pelts, and not a little amount of the dust they often turned into. He had no use for them, but had an idea of someone that could, someone that delved deep into areas he knew nothing of. With a subconscious nod he turned to the west, Destination in mind, he took a quick glance around insuring his solitude, and quicker than a blink their was nothing to show his passing other than a few leaves swirling in a fresh dust devil.

Mordechai came to a stop in the alley behind Pandora’s, eyes searching as he let his other senses reachout through the night sky. It was early yet, the city still going on about their lives, most still heedless of the danger that lived amongst them, even though the fools had won the battle, and the denizens of the night were ‘official’. Stepping deeper into the darkness the massive killer called the shadows to him, letting them wrap and cloak him. Humans may know about them, but to him, it was still a war between the races, the others would soon learn… you shouldn't play with your food. Settling down to wait out the latenight customers. Mordechai let his conscious reach out to his ‘sister’ “I have some things I need you to look at “

With a heavy heart the night had seemed to drag on forever. Her destination was clearly unknown but her feet had kept walking towards the deep familiar feeling of home. What used to be home? A million thoughts had buzzed in her head as the female wondered what she would do now or where she would even stay. Deep blue eyes scanned her surroundings as the feeling of magic deepened. How could those old women be so terrible mad at her. They once showered her with low and affection and the next time they had begun to treat her as if she was a demon. Some kind of evil that was conjured to despite them. Angrily her head shook in disgust. Blood had soaked her hair, the clothes that tugged at her flesh currently. It was all over the sacred place. She had killed so many she was shocked they could banish her. Banish her to where the sun was not as welcomed as the moon was. That was okay though. She was in love with the moon. As she rounded the corner she found herself forced to go in one direction one that seemed dark like a horror movie the ones where the stupid girl got killed because she didn't know to take a different path.

Walking down the alley her eyes shifted back and forth. She could feel she was getting closer as tiny water droplets danced around her fingers. Mornir had always loved the elements but water, water was her absolute favorite. Images of the ocean danced in her thoughts as the tiny droplet rolled around effortlessly before disappearing. She had never seen the ocean before. In fact the only time she had been around any water was for bathing and for drinking. A deep rumble filled her stomach as she realized she had not drank or eaten in a very long time. She had used great amount of powers but yet forgot to replenish her strength. As she looked around she felt a sense of something familiar. A quaint shop called Pandora’s Box sat before her. Now that was ironic. Kneeling down she began to rummage through her bag. Surely she had something stashed away in here either to eat or drink.
