This is a truly infinite raid-style system, with a few differences.
- - The floor layout is randomised each time a new one is generated.
- Floor tiles are random, with about 30 possible designs.
- Traps get increasingly harder to dodge as you descend, and respawn when picked up.
- NPCs are procedurally generated, with about 300 possible creatures that can be spawned.
- NPCs get increasingly tougher as you descend, and give more XP and better loot the harder they are.
- There are hidden walls in randomly selected passageways
- You cannot use the auction in the infinite labyrinth.
- You'll find keys more than twice as fast as you would in a regular raid, allowing you to descend faster.
- There are "blood fountains" that are generated every 5 floors, allowing you to top up on blood.
- You cannot create doppelgangers in infinite labyrinth raids, but you can swap places with them.
- Faeshards will eventually spawn as NPC loot in the lower levels of the labyrinth.
- When defeated even once, you'll go to the ground floor. This means you'll have to buy another key to get back in.
- The labyrinth resets once a month, on the first of each month, after which everyone is booted back to the ground floor.
Roleplay wise, suffice it to say that the entrance to the mystical labyrinth was discovered by the sirens of the Hebigumo Foundation.
