UPDATE: RP Transcript Posting

Post by Mooncalf »

I'm quite excited to announce something that I've been wanting to make happen for a while now. On the click of a button while in chat, this system will post the complete transcript of any of your chat roleplays directly to the forum, automatically share out the RPP according to who wrote however many words, and announce it via the chat window also.

To use this system you must be roleplaying in location roleplay chat. Once you're ready to share the roleplay transcript anyone involved in the chat may simply click "submit RP to forum". A window will open asking you what you wish to name your roleplay thread. If you name it the same name as an existing thread, then the transcript will be posted as a reply to your existing thread. You'll get to see the list of participants and their RPP rewards on the foot of each post.

Transcripts do not have <Name> tags before each line, and instead display like an actual story in a book. This means that if you're using this feature, it's best to write each reply as a paragraph in a story, with quotation marks and similar when your character is speaking, as well as an indication as to who spoke the quoted text, etc.

I'll be adding this system to Blood soon too. Enjoy!

This has been updated to display the names of each poster before each chat post, so that it's easier to follow who is speaking, in the event that some writers favour first person roleplay rather than 3rd.

Please note that the /me command does not work with this system at all, so you should type your character's name instead of typing /me.
