“I won’t, I won’t! M’just teasing,” Emerson quickly reassured the blonde. She knew the silent rules about girl talk, one of them being that no information shared was to leave the pair. Kind of like this was their little secret. She’d try her best to keep all the information between the two of them, but she couldn’t promise it. There’d probably be an incident in the near future where the girl would go off on one of her rambles (or 'word vomit', for better terms) and something would slip.
Maddison bringing up the fact that Robin would ‘probably kill her’ made the girl a bit uncomfortable, because he had actually killed someone. He had that capability, and by the sounds of it, the action hadn't been intentional. More like a reflex. An instinct. Then again, Prudence was not shy of killing, and Emerson wasn’t scared that her sire was going to pull anything of the sorts on her. She wasn't all too sure why she let the incident bother her so much. It wasn't any of her business, and it was a part of the past. She had even met Robin, and the man and the event didn't seem to click. It didn’t matter either way. Maddison was her friend, and she was allowed to worry about her. She was allowed to care about her and make sure she was safe.
Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Emerson put on a smile. “Oh, right. Nothing much, really. He mentioned that he was doing well and that you were doing well and answered my question regarding your circumstances with each other. It may sound like nothing but he was quite happy about it all. I can tell he cares for you.” She shrugged her shoulders. Some people just weren’t prone to gushing about their feelings and the details of their life. It didn’t mean that they didn’t care. Everyone had their own ways of showing affection and the like.
“Yeah, definitely come visit. There are tons of pretty bouquets for every season, occasion... Whatever y'need." Emerson remembered that Maddison liked to decorate. Flowers would be the cutest little touch. Until they died, of course, but that just meant the bouquet would have to be replaced with a new one. "And there's a bunch of other businesses nearby that you can stop by, too. Have a shopping spree.” Emerson loved shopping - for clothes, home decor, and even groceries. If it involved a purchase, she was up for it. And, now that she had a job, she could go shopping more often. She’d limit herself, though. No good in spending all her money at once.
Emerson was touched by Maddison’s words. It felt really nice to know that she had a friend, especially one that thought so well of her. “Awe, Madds. I mean, m’literally the cutest, so I don't understand how I don't have everyone all over me,” she joked. In reality, by interacting with next to no one, it wasn't a surprise that no one had their eye set on her. The brunette either needed to start getting out more, or the right people needed to start hanging around her go-to locations. “I dunno. I mean, it’s nice being my own person and all, but I like having someone around all the time. Even if I’m not with with them, I like doing this - just being able to sit and talk. You won't get sick of me too fast, will you?”
