Backdated forty-eight hours after turning
Indigo stirred from the sheets of the bed and as the material glided free from her bare curves she felt the ache of need for replenishment racking her muscles and joints. Her tongue stuck to the roof of her mouth until she used the muscle within to unfasten the dry surface from where it was otherwise stuck. It was time to brush her teeth as well as those hard to reach points until she willed them to pop to view. She wondered what her childhood dentist would have thought of such a sight. Sweet Indigo Knight has a set of fangs. She had yet to try them out. She wasn’t so sure how it would really work. It wasn’t like she was the type to go tear a human apart...right?
No matter. Teeth clean, mouth fresh she was soon under the warm spray of the shower washing away her last signs of sedation. As the night fell across the city she was waking to the scents of peppermint and green tea thanks to the mismatched shampoo and conditioner. Tonight she would ask to explore the routine most like her indulged in. Adley had been healing her somehow, she wasn’t fully sure on how that worked but as soon as she had mentioned feeling weaker, her body dragging inside leaving her about as productive as a limp noodle, he would do something that had her feeling like a case of energy drinks suddenly jolted her system. It was great but there was that hurdle that they had to clear and she knew it. She asked for this. All of it. Now she had to own it. What if he couldn’t be there to make her feel better? She needed to be self-sufficient just as she was before. And tonight she needed to step out into the world that she had not seen in forty eight hours.
