The Actual Streets of Harper Rock [Open]

Post by Eldecrok (DELETED 8290) »

Eldecrok constantly wanders around, his soul detached from the world he lived in. No, not literally. Rather, he felt as though he was not human, nor vampire. Where was he to go? He needed little sleep, which he took in naps throughout the hours. Nightclubs and Cafes are usually his to go places, but today was different. It was as though his soul realized how lonely it truly was. Resigned, in his usual treachcoat, underneath it a pair of jeans and a polo shirt, he sat down in an alleyway and contemplated his time here. Pulling his fedora down, he sighed. Perhaps it was time to go beyond his comfort zone.

He took out his notepad and began to draw. First, the base. Drawing the extent of the stem and the petals, he falls into a trance. The utter peace he felt during these trances were only matched by his work: Deleting all trace of vampires online. 'Let them live in peace,' he always thought...

Ona had been out and about gathering a few things she needed to do her own things. A couple of bags draped over her arms. Fresh food for later, a six pack of beer and a couple more odds and ends. She hums softly as she walks and pushes her dreds back over her shoulders, catching sight of a familiar person she heads over and offers a smile. "hey, first time finding you not in a club."

"Greetings Mon Cher." Eldecrok replied in a stoic manner. His head was whirling around in what he called madness. It was only recently that he actually met the beings he admired so. He wasn't sure what to do anymore, he felt lost and confused. Should he follow his father's legacy, or should he follow his heart and abandon it all? What would his father say? Would he say to keep helping them, even if they may end your life? What if he were to say end them for not returning the favor? Eldecrok simply didn't know what to do, but he knew one thing to say...

"I assume you are heading home?"

Home. A home would be nice to have. What is a home anyway? Was it a good family? A roof over you? A place you belong? Guess he didn't have any of those things anyway... Eldecrok stopped his drawing and looked up. She looked lovely in the darkness. He could barely make out any of her features except her figure.

She moved closer and offered him a hand after shifting her bags to one arm. A bright smile spread across her face, one that she only gave to real friends.

"I was headed home to eat and stash some stuff in the fridge. Would you like to come and have dinner with me?"

Tilting her head as she looked at him and what he was doing.

"No, I don't feel comfortable entering your home quite yet. Perhaps we can walk there though? Not like I have anywhere else to go."

Eldecrok stood up, and waited for her to lead the way. Perhaps Eldecrok should have stayed, and not become such a burden to this fine lady, but nonetheless, he attempted to right his wrongs. He brushed himself off and stretched a little. It would cause a minor scene to those who were looking, as though a news reporter got fired or something, though one or two people would actually notice.

"Would you like me to help with those groceries?"

Help... That's all he wanted, Help people who deserve it. Vampires deserve his help more than people... However... Ona is a different case... Any other normal person would never even be allowed to see his face. This lady, whom he was now fond of, was indeed special to him. If only his heart could embrace it without being so emotionless.

Gives him a shake of her head as she handles the bags.

"No that is okay I have them."

She would wrap her arm around one of his once he was standing. A little close for most people but Ona was a toucher. Leading the pair off down the street towards the apartment she was staying at with him in tow.

"Thank you for offering to walk me home, the streets can defiantly be unsafe for people alone."

"Ah. Of course."

He felt a comfort out of Ona's arm encircling his own, simply touching made him felt... Human again. It was a touch of a person who's familiar, who you know cares for you, and who adores you for... you. It's not like parents, since they have to love you or they would either grow mad, or simply be shunned from society.

"Are you sure I can't help with those groceries? And perhaps I can cook for you later if you haven't eaten yet. Would either please you?"

A soft genuine laugh from her as she shakes her head.

"No, I have take out in one of the bags and stuff for breakfast tomorrow. Unless you plan to come cook breakfast in the morning."

She would offer a couple of her bags to him to carry if he really wanted to help her out.

"What are you doing out here alone?"

He takes the bags and continues walking with Ona. He took the heavier bags, cause you don't be lazy when you're helping after all!

When she asked what he was doing out and about alone, he tried not to answer, but he couldn't resist a part of her that wanted to know. She was cute, a quaint fellow even. She wasn't normal by society's standards, yet this felt normal, comforting even. The old-fashioned walking with hands together was a sign of romance, yet here she was. She allowed it without a second thought. Very quaint indeed.

"I don't have a better place to be." Elde said. He wasn't lying at all, there was no better place at this hour, and he just kept walking along until Ona would make a response.

He felt a hole in his trench coat let in a breeze underneath. It was cold, as usual. He really ought to patch up his coat.

"Ona? Do you have spare cloth at your house? I need to fix a couple of things."

Smiles as he took the bags from her, staying close to him as they walked. Looking up and down the streets as if checking to make sure nothing was in the shadows around them.

"I'm currently staying with a friend. Trying to save up enough money to get my own place, or at least trying too. Books and food are very expensive."

Another little laugh at her own little weird joke, then over at him to smile again.

"Yeah I'm sure I can dig up something you can use."
