To say her life had changed when came to Harper Rock would be an understatement. Victoria's life had ended really, and a new one had replaced it. It was the same for so many others in this city but had all gone through the same as her? She could ask her siblings. Would they want to talk about it? Would they remember? Would they be willing to share with her, the youngest among them?
She rolled over onto her back and gazed up at the temple ceiling far above her. Her new family was generous and had offered her a multitude of different places to spend her days but she instead chose the temple. It felt more familiar to her than most other places. Perhaps it reminded her or her youth in an odd way. She had been around temples and churches all her human life. Why would this life be any different?
Why would this life be any different? That was the question of the hour it seemed. One thing that had been different now her feeling towards her Sire. All her siblings loved him, some in their own way and see was no different than them but it was how it happened that made it different for her. She didn't know the man at all before the night she was turned. Hell she had never even seen him till a few hours before it happened, but the love for him was almost instantaneous. Had it come so quickly for the others? More upon more questions were rising in her head.
She needed a distraction. From her thoughts and her questions. She sat up quickly and grabbed her coat that hung from the end of the pew she had been laying on, and threw it around her. As she exited the building, she thought of where to go and what to. She was not old enough to get into most bars, even though she would not drink anyway. She really should look into getting a fake id made up, even if it were only to get into a club or bar to find her next victim. As she looked up and down the street her mind was still at a loss as to what she could do. Finally she landed on the idea to simple walk the streets and allies till something jumped out at her.

Knowing that the best time to cast a spell that involves the building up of energies, is three days before, during and after the full moon. Those are when her energies are best used for the manifestation of a goal or a wish. The young witch had that very need and was going to tap the energies of the goddess of the night.
After doing some gathering of information about the city, she discovered that Harper Rock had a couple of parks and that the city was completely surrounded by woods. Many rumors were often intertwined with the divulgence of the parks locations. It seemed that her new home was rich with tales of ghosts, vampires, and the such. Knowing that every city had a bit of a dark story lurking in its shadows, Penny also knew that such tales were the way that people dealt with their fears, to give a name and face to the things that go wrong.
A skeptic witch? The ironic humor of it wasn't lost. She knew that magic was real and that the supernatural existed, she also knew that people sometimes needed things like the boogeyman to give a face to the negative things that happen in their lives. Either way, she always kept an open mind and yet kept her senses close by her.
With her bag full of the necessary items needed for her venture, she slung it over her shoulder and made her way onto the streets. It would have been faster for her to use the transit, but tonight she chose to walk the entire distance to the closest park. It was a warm and breezy night, the sky was open to the stars and light of the moon; besides, after being cramped up in her hotel room, she needed to stretch her legs and get in some fresh air.
After having turned a third corner, she knew it wouldn't be much further; it was only about seven more blocks ahead. As she walked , she made little mental notes of some of the stores that she saw that looked interesting to her. One of them being a hookah lounge. She would definitely have to make a visit to that place. While her thoughts were entertained with the possible flavored shisha that they might would serve, a woman's sudden scream, from the alleyway across the street from where she was standing, snatched her attention and caused a skip in her heartbeat.
"What the...?" She looked around and her eyes landed on another that had been walking a few paces ahead of her. She wondered if the person had heard the same thing.
