And This Is How It Starts... ((Closed, Adley Reed))

- The folllowing is a live RP that took place within The Hive -

Chapter One: "Use Your Hands, And My Spare Time."

<Adley Reed>

Adley Reed had followed Kaspar home, barely able to keep his hands (and teeth) to himself even though they only had to walk a short distance. The promise of the Hive was like a blanket, a warm light on a dark night, a refuge from the tumultuous world outside. Adley would never have admitted that he needed this kind of refuge - might even have masked that need from himself. But now that he had it, it was the kind of comfort he wouldn't want to begrudge anyone. It was the kind of comfort that he knew he'd been looking for when he contacted Zodiac, when he was so pissed off with his own sire. As soon as he was inside he shed his jacket and his shoes, his belt unbuckled and comfort spreading through his limbs. Comfort and hunger. Kaspar said to meet him in the bedroom, so it was to the bedroom that Adley went.

<Kaspar>

Kaspar had wandered inside ahead of Adley, whispering his suggestion before disappearing up the hall and into the kitchen. A pen was sitting atop the counter, Kaspar grabbing it and scribbling a message to one of their other household inhabitants to find. Hel's breath was coming fast, excitement making adrenaline pulse through him, the desire and hunger he'd felt making him impatient beyond bearing. As the man wandered into the room in question he kicked off the heavy boots, next shrugging free of the leather jacket that suddenly felt constrictive, too much. "So... Adley..."

<Adley Reed>

Desire was a strange thing. It wasn't something that Adley had felt earlier, with Grey's teeth stuck in his neck. For all the other man's tenderness, it had done nothing for Adley but stir a similar hunger. A hunger for blood, rather than for bodily contact. With Kaspar, however, it was different. Adley Reed was slowly learning that desire came in all shapes and sizes, and it didn't always have to stem from material lust. He didn't crave Kaspar for what he looked like, but instead for who he was. Kaspar would barely have turned around, would barely have managed to shrug out of his jacket before he found Adley's lips on his, Adley's hands grasping either side of his jaw, their hips and bodies colliding.

<Kaspar>

Kaspar stumbled back a step, caught off guard by a man throwing himself into his arms. Kaspar's own came to wind around that muscular frame, giving a grunt of satisfaction in reward of the contact, the pressure of lips on his. He reached up, gently cupping the man's face, drawing his own back slightly. "Whoa, Ad's... Anyone might think you want to eat me alive." He was teasing but the tone didn't capture it, his voice husky, and a wildness his eyes as he looked upon the man. "Anyway would think you like me or something, arschloch."

<Adley Reed>
Adley laughed, his broad grin testament to his fantastic mood. "Isn't that the exact definition of what I will do?" he asked. Kaspar was alive. And Adley was going to eat him. Not in the gutter-minded way - not immediately anyway - but Adley needed to eat. And Kaspar was the source. "Anyway. You're not just a bag of blood, hm? You need to be appreciated," he said, already tugging at Kaspar's shirt, wanting to pull it up over his head. All the while pushing them closer to the bed, wanting to tumble them both down into the welcoming softness of it.

<Kaspar>

Kaspar stumbled backwards with Adley's urging, letting the man tug at the hem of his shirt and push it over his head. Hel had little issues with being undressed, it didn't have to be anything other than what it was but Adley was implying there would be more. He wasn't particularly inclined to argue, and yet, he had the desire to talk with the man, to enjoy his company. Kaspar slowed their progress to the bed, hands slipping to grip at broad shoulders, "Hey, you..." He stroked gently down those arms, turning the man so that he could urge him to sit on the edge of the bed. "I know." His head dipped, brushing a gentle kiss to the man's lips, "You can take what you need, no questions, no demands. Alright?" Hel crawled onto the bed beside him, moving up so that his head could fall against the pillows.

<Adley Reed>

Adley couldn't help but be a little frustrated as he was forced to slow down; a devilish grin crossed his features as Kaspar said what he needed to, before crawling his way up the bed, laying himself out for Adley like a feast. Adley turned and crawled over to Kas, body looming over his. "It's not a demand anymore," he said with a light shrug. "I find I want to appreciate you..." he said. But he did take the cue - he did slow down, though his hands did wander. Even when his teeth pierced the skin of Kaspar's neck, he sought to please the other man in carnal ways. A slow, zero-pressure process. Adley didn't care if one or both of the others walked in, joined in. But when he was done, when they were done, they were still alone. With his hunger now sated, Adley fell back into the pillows, a hum of satisfaction rumbling in his throat.

<Kaspar>

Kaspar sunk back against the pillows and silken sheets, stretching luxuriously amongst them, long limbs exploring the large amount of unused space. He felt alive, his body tingling with the lingering sensation. Between the intimacy of feedings, and administered attentions of Adley's healing touch, Kaspar felt oddly satisfied. "C'mere." He mumbled, reaching out to pull the cold body against his chest, nuzzling his face against the man's shoulder blades. "Are you full?"

<Adley Reed>

His body was laid out like a Prince, content, his eyes closed as Kaspar nuzzled in close. The proximity didn't bother Adley like it might have once. He swallowed the last taste of blood, tongue lapping the last drop from the corner of his mouth. He nodded, slowly. "For now," he said. "I'll bother Jamie later for more, if I need it," he added. Though, he did wonder where the miscreant was.

<Kaspar>

Kaspar brushed the bridge of his nose against the man's back, lips shortly following in a lazy pattern up towards his ear. Kas captured an earlobe between teeth, letting a little growl rumble free from his chest. "Mmm, fine. I wouldn't mind getting a bite of him either, though I’m not sure in the same way." The man flopped back with a little, "mmph" sound, reaching over to grab his pants from where they'd been kicked off on the floor. "We should probably talk to him, I mean, we should tell him about Grey. Shouldn't we?" He fished his phone out of the pants, checking to see if he had any messages from either of the others. Nothing so far. "You think he'll be bothered? I mean, he has been spending most of his time here, hasn't mentioned the guy and moved in his dog."

<Adley Reed>

Adley blinked his eyes open as he relished the attention, the small touches and kisses feeding his ego. A sigh parted Adley's lips as Grey was mentioned; that topic they had left behind. How long ago was it, now? "Maybe. I find it a bit odd. He told you that he was Jameson's boyfriend?" Adley asked. He hadn't had the whole story - just the barest whiff of a statement. It seemed strange. Somewhere, some wires had to be crossed.

<Kaspar>

Kaspar rolled over onto his stomach, one arm draped across Adley's midsection, the other folding under his head to support it. "He said "lovers", but before that well he almost said "Mine" I swear that's what he was going to blurt out. He got real defensive and so of course I couldn't help but toy with him. I think it bothered him, but he mostly tried to act like he didn't care, wasn't bothered. I think it was ********." He shrugged.

<Adley Reed>

Adley offered another small shrug. "He is Jameson's type," Adley said, eyes glazed as he stared at the ceiling. "Jamie kind of... I mean Grey seemed skittish. Lost, even. That was me, before I ran into Jamie. I'd lost everything and he was the first brick to building it all back up again," he said. "We don't know what happened between them. Could be Grey's just one of those obsessive types, and it's actually over. And it's not our business."

<Kaspar>

Kaspar gave a little pout, as if Adley were telling him off for questioning it. "Look, you know I don't care if Jamie has got lovers, or whatever. I just find it interesting, and I mean I feel like we should say SOMETHING. I don’t know, if you met someone who said we'd been dating for ages, wouldn't you question it? You know about my..." He paused, "Actually I’m not sure how much you pay attention, how much you know." He laughed quietly, pressing his face once more against the man to nudge a whisper of a kiss. "Mmm, I guess none of that matters here, does it? Though, I promised Indigo she could meet Will, that I’d bring him to her." He winced, nose wrinkling at the thought of the enthusiastic woman kidnapping his son and cooing at him.

<Adley Reed>

He shook his head. "I don't know. If it's not my business. If you wanted to tell me things about your past then you would. If I thought said person posed a danger to you or ours, then I'd bring it up. But if it's something you'd kept from us on purpose," he shrugged. "Do you think this Grey might pose a danger?" he asked. Adley didn't have Grey's number nor had they agreed to meet again in the future. As far as Adley was concerned, this was a one-time thing, and he didn't have any obligations toward him. Adley then shook his head. "I mean I figured you have a family outside of us, and how you were turned. But... I mean, do they know about you? Do they question anything?"

<Kaspar>

Kaspar nodded his head amicably, maybe Adley was right. "Can I at least tease him a little? About it? Please?" He smiled sweetly up at the man, but gave it up quickly with a little laugh. "I don’t know if he's dangerous, look I don't think so. We'll see, I have a feeling that man isn't going to disappear overnight Ad." When it turned in earnest to family, Kaspar grew quiet, contemplative. "You know about the Wife and Will, my son. Outside of that I’ve got my father, the rock star, Niklaus Grube Kirsch aka Nik Cherry, my darling mother Karolina, older sister Katarina and twin brother Klaus. Mother and Klaus live in Germany again mostly, they go between there and the house in the States. Dad and Kit travel a lot for work, but split their time in a similar manner, occasionally they all come back here. Dad's family moved here when he was a young teen, he had good memories here. We used to split time between a house here and in Germany, until I was around 16 I think? Moved here permanently for a year..." He shut up, he was talking too much, "Sorry, you don't care." He laughed, dismissing the discussion with a little wave of the hand.

<Adley Reed>

Adley listened, his body still and his eyes closed again. He was... digesting, as one does after a good meal from which they had gluttoned. Adley was interested. It probably seemed like he didn't care, the way he lurked in the background so much, the way that he appeared to be aloof and interesting only in his own comings and goings. He laughed. "I do care. It's kind of fascinating, really. But you didn't answer my question," he said. "I mean, if I had a wife, a kid. I don't know what I would do. If I had to watch them grow old..." he said. Maybe it was a touchy subject. Adley cared about Indigo. Cared a whole lot about Indigo. But she had agreed. She wanted to be with them. Adley had that on the horizon. What did Kaspar have?

<Kaspar>

Kaspar sighed, "No. The rest of them don't know, Wifey does and Will will be told, when he's old enough to comprehend. I'll offer them the choice... And Klaus, my brother, my Klaus. I don't think I could..." His head shook firmly, the thought seemed too much. "I want to tell him, but how do you tell someone who you shared the womb with that you are no longer the same?" His expression had darkened, the briefest flash of honest pain in Kaspar's face, of true concern before it was smoothed, the mask of indifference trying to fit back into place.

<Adley Reed>

Adley couldn't quite comprehend what it must be like. What would Kas's wife think, her husband out all night doing God knows what? A husband who wasn't exactly faithful. And yet they all were still close, and Kaspar still affectionate. "I'm... sorry," Adley said. He didn't know what else to say. But he had been the one to ask the questions. "I didn't have any siblings. Or well, none that I knew of. None that I know of," he said. "I would have thought it would be more difficult to tell someone you share a child with..." he said with a shrug.

<Kaspar>

Hel gave a sudden growl, a sound that resonated deep in his chest, his body lunging forward towards Adley. The man tugged the blankets over their heads, shifting his weight to half lay atop his bedfellow, mouth finding the man's to silence the sorry from him, "No. None of that, thank you very much. Mmm." He considered for a moment how easy it would be to distract him, to change the topic but perhaps it was best to get it all out on the table. "Well, actually she took it really well. She cried, and I had no idea what she was going to say or do. She asked a few questions, I answered best I could and then she came over to me, she touched my cheek like." He pressed one hand to Adley's face, thumb stroking his jaw, tracing up to run under that lower lip. "And then she kissed me, she kissed me and went to get my son. Sig put him in my arms, and let me hold him. Then things sort of kept on as they had been, I would tell her about things that happened and she took it in her stride."

<Adley Reed>

He lay there with one hand nudged under his head, gazing up at Kas in the dimness beneath the blanket. Was the guy trying to hide from this topic? He continued to talk about it, so Adley had to assume these were things he was happy to get off his chest. And Adley was just far too curious too curious to shut up about it. Although he was almost tempted to give in to that kiss and be distracted, although he was tempted to nudge Kaspar down in a 'my turn' kind of gesture, he instead continued to lay, imagining someone he had loved touching him in such a way, and giving over such trust. Wasn't that what he had wanted from Zaleski? A gentle touch and a nod of acquiescence. Acceptance. And yet she had chosen her sire - a man she'd known less than a few months - over her oldest friend. "That is admirable," he said, referring to Kaspar's wife. "....but, I'm sorry. I have to ask. Does she know you sleep with other people?"

<Kaspar>

Kaspar raised a brow at the question, "Does she...Yes, she knows exactly what I get up to. I’m not a complete asshole, you should know by now that honesty is a principle I hold myself to and hope for in return. She knows who I am, and how I live." He pulled back his hand, looking at the hammered white gold ring he wore, "We are together to raise our son, I moved back to stay with her during the pregnancy, to support her and give her everything she wanted. Everything. She's my partner, and I care for her, she cares for me but it's not the kind of arrangement most expect." He cleared his throat, "Besides, we aren't legally married."

<Adley Reed>

Adley laughed, then. Here he was thinking he was walking on eggshells in this conversation, asking questions that might upset Kaspar, or make him feel judged, when really Adley was just curious. "Well then. That's... well it's different," he said with a shrug. Adley hadn't run into too many people who had these kinds of arrangements. And now Adley was right smack bang in the middle of one. "You're one ******* interesting man, Kas."

<Kaspar>

Kaspar blinked back his surprise, he'd sort of expected Adley to question him further, to tell him he was an idiot or something equally belittling. "Oh, uh, well I suppose that isn't the worst thing you could say. I did offer to legally marry her, you know? We almost did, but she was happy with things as they were right now. She's not exactly interested in dating, with a baby on her hip and so she sort of lives vicariously through me. I bring her stories, and I give her what she needs." He gave a shy little cough, odd for Kaspar to be reserved on a subject. "So... Yeah I guess that's me? On a family level at least., so how about next time I bite you, and you tell me your life story. I'll make it worth your while."

The huskiness was back, letting Adley know that for now, unless the man REALLY wanted to he was done talking. Fingertips deliberately traced down the man's chest, finding dips and ridges of that well trained muscle, sinking into more dangerous territory. "Any more questions, or can we shut up the best way I know how?" It didn’t take long for the pair to be sunk beneath the sheets again, exploring new hungers that arose, letting the time pass with minutes measured in content murmurs until the others chose to return to them.
