Just another night in the city/Renee [open]

Post by Enzo Dragomir »

His head exploded with pain, great bursts of light flared behind his eyelids as something heavy made violent contact with his temple. His mouth instantly filled with blood and he felt something rupture deep in is ear, further muffling whatever sounds were going on around him. He tried bringing his hand from his side to get off the floor, get out of this vulnerable position, but his arms were bound tight behind him. And by the way his arm was pulled, clearly dislocated and held taut behind him, a fine job of a half hog tie. While attempting to register what was happening to him, he heard through waves of pain "Get up. That’s right you, with the face. GET UP!"

Perverse as always Enzo would have laughed if he wasn't swallowing his own blood, he could only imagine what his face looked like right now. His lips must have twitched with the almost laugh because he earned himself another kick, this time to his side. The force of it lifted him almost completely off the floor and slung him hard into a wall, his mouth spraying blood in a fine red arc. He had barely understood that this new attack was finished when he heard feet jumping away from him and sounds of disgust from more than a few people. "******* blood, he's spewing it. Where's my gloves?"

Using the wall behind him, Enzo began to slide upward into a sitting position taking advantage of the busy sounds he heard in the room. Slowly he began to open his eyes, as his preternatural body started to heal but couldn't manage more than a slit. That was enough. He looked through the swollen skin of his lids, he most certainly had a broken nose, an eye socket as well by the feel of things, and more than a few other broken bones. What the hell had happened?

Last thing he remembered was walking toward his French connection in River Rock for his scheduled blood bag pick up. The shady neighborhood close to the QZ made it a perfect place for not only feeding, but other supernatural business goings on. He had just reached the squirrelly little mage maggot when he heard screams followed by a deafening roar. Enzo's eyebrows lowered as he fought to remember, it must have been an explosion of some sort. Growing up with a Merc and Arms trader as a father, he had heard his fair share of them.

His body continued to knit itself back together, it was a slow and agonizing process and Enzo swore to himself whoever was responsible for this was going to be slowly cut into small pieces one day at a time and fed to the wild dog packs roaming the alleys. Then he was going to feed the dog **** back to the guy who was dead but just didn't know it yet. Circle of ******* life.

Slitting his eyes again he now looked at a pair of legs thick enough as to make it obvious it was a 'gentleman' standing above him. His head was violently shoved back as the man grabbed him by the chin and forced him to look up. Enzo spit more blood out and began to laugh. God it hurt to laugh. "I'd give a **** about whatever you want from me, but I already gave it to your mother."

Yeah. That earned him another **** kicker to the gut. Worth it. Enzo took all the energy he had left to open his eyes as wide as he could, he briefly wondered if the little magic frog had made it from the alley alive. He didn't know if casters could heal better than humans. Going by Enzo's injuries no human would have lived. Pity. He liked the little French ********. Good guy for a skeezey coward.

His eyes fully opened he lifted his own head this time to look up at the man... correction... several men, standing around him. It was dim in the room, concrete walls and floor, an emergency light hung from the ceiling swinging shafts of light back and forth. As the lamp returned its meager shine back to his face one of the men gasped and lumbered backward crossing himself.

"His eyes... his ******* EYES!"

Oh yeah that.

The menagerie of terrorists lowered down to inspect him and they too began muttering to themselves. Enzo remained silent, taking any moment he could to further heal without more injury being added to his already impressive list. He could make out 'Satan' and 'devil' but he didn't bother correcting them with 'Dragon'. His eyes bore the mark of his Sire the progenitor of Dragomir. He knew they could be disconcerting at best, downright frightening at worst.

If he made it out of this alive he would tell his Sire his 'curse' had granted him precious minutes to heal.

**** that. Not if. WHEN he got out of this. He had dogs to feed. Enzo swung his gaze from the men now speaking amongst themselves to get a better look at his prison. It took more energy to focus then he wanted to give, but he needed to take stock of his situation. The room was sparsely furnished, a lab table, morgue slab, some chairs... and it looked like a few other blood suckers in various positions of binding and pain scattered about the room. One of them was definitely female. She didn't seem to be conscious yet, dropped like a potato sack on the far floor. Two others were awake, but just barely. Both male. What the hell was going on down here?

Enzo brought those 'devil' eyes back round and focused on the group that had taken their freedom and probably managed to kill a boatload of humans in the process. And if they had killed his little French *****? He'd turn the bastards himself so he could kill them over and over for the next 100 years and then kill them one last spectacular time just outside city limits.

Nobody messed with his toys.

Renee can slowly hear sounds around her. What is that? Talking? Arguing? Everything was muddled except for the ringing that was going on inside her head. Was this the fae again? No this felt different. Her side burned and it felt like she had been hit a truck. Her body was slowly trying to heal but she needed to know where she was. She needed to get away before a human found her. She went to move her arms and push herself up but as she does a pain shots through her. Her shoulder is dislocated and her arms are tied behind her. A moan leaves her lips.

There is another muddled sound, definitely talking this time before there is contact made with her back by something hard. Probably a boot. She hisses out at the pain that shoots through her spine as she arches her back away from where the boot was only to be kicked back, this time in the stomach. She starts coughing from the impact as blood flies from her mouth. As she coughs more pain is sent through her, this time in her chest. It's her ribs. Some of them must be broken.

She feels a hand go to the back of her head and a hand full of hair is grabbed and pulled. Focusing past the pain she knows she is being dragged and lifted. There is another muddled sound followed by a sharp pain to the face.

"Did you hear me *****?"

She heard before another slap was planted across her face. She opened her eyes slowly to see a brut of a man hovering over her.

"Are you stupid or do you just like pain?"

The brut asked, spit coming from his mouth as he spoke. She focused on his face for a moment before a corner of her mouth curved up into a smirk before she managed to spit the blood that had been slowly filling her mouth into his face. She quickly hits the ground as he drops her and starts to throw out a string of curses before she is picked up and thrown against a wall.

She lands on the ground with a thud and another hiss of pain leaves her lips. She blinks rapidly as she tries to focus her eyes as she looks around the room. The light above her is moving, making it difficult for her to focus on much more then shapes at the moment. What she can see are several bruts through out the room in front of her. She forces herself to focus as best she can. There are two other men on the ground across from her. She cannot make out who they are at the moment. She strands to move her head around and she spots another form. He's closer to her so he's easier to see. He looks like he's been awake longer than her. She can vaguely make out the bruts around him calling him a devil.

Her eyes shut as another boot hits her stomach. She tries to resist responding as she lays there, hoping for a moment to heal and try and remember what happened. The last thing she can remember was going to River Rock to pick up blood for the apartment. What had happened there? She feels another boot impact, this one forcing yet more blood from her mouth.

She forces herself eyes open again as she looks to the dark haired man near her. She focuses on him as best she can as she tries to send him a message telepathically.

"If you can hear me, either answer or cough once."

It was small chance he could respond to her but she had to try. In order for any of them to get out they would need a way to communicate with one another.

His lids were slowly closing again, his energy was failing him fast as his wounds continued to accumulate before the older injuries had healed. He needed to feed, there was no way around it. His captors continued to speak amongst themselves and if he'd been less weakened he could have listened in. Who were they? Enzo leaned his head back against the wall, forcing his dragons gaze toward the swinging light. Letting it burn into his retinas until spots formed. Anything to keep from losing consciousness again.

A movement from one of the others trapped here caught his attention, it was the woman, the last of them to come around. The biggest of the men turned from the group and fixed his attention on her. How he had known she was awake told Enzo an entire story. He had to be supernatural. She'd barely stirred, even he had difficulty registering it. They couldn't be Sorcs, there was no use of magic. No obvious use.

The man was impressively built, his body honed by years of training, he was massive and not squeamish about using that strength as he began to kick the vampress. Enzo began struggling against his own bonds, the ******** was taking her down before she had even blinked. She didn't have a chance after being kicked against the wall and then left for dead. Hulk however had to be clued in on what they were because he wasn't in the least surprised as his victims took his kickings and kept on ticking.

Paladins.

He'd heard tale of their downfall, a large group of them... he had only begun learning of the events leading to the last few months of war. Holy rollers with a hard on for the 'unnatural' though one could argue they weren't exactly god grown human either. Enzo stopped his frantic struggling for a more covert working at his binds, the other two vamps were also awake and moving now. One was being particularly stupid and loud.

Well if the idiot wanted to be the decoy, far be it from him to try and force them to draw straws for it. The vampire began cursing and kicking about trying to regain his feet as the group of Pally boys all turned in unison to look at him. Enzo glanced over at the female to ascertain if she was awake still or if the flurry of blows had taken their toll. Their eyes locked as she too took the opportunity to find him and his head began to swim with the same sensations his sire used to speak into his thoughts. She was a telepath and trying to reach him.

Thank ****! The Dragon Gods were smiling rays of sunshine onto his happy ***. Enzo narrowed his gaze and focused... and then he coughed.

Just as the largest of the Paladins picked up the unknowing decoy and dragged him to the morgue slab. Enzo had a feeling this wasn't going to stay anywhere near PG rated and almost felt bad for the not to bright fang. But maybe they could determine what the hell these apes wanted from them. He'd been sure he was told they usually killed first and had no questions later or ever really.

His head slipping back again, he opened himself up, letting his frantic paced mind slow down, anything to make it easier for the woman to communicate with him. Come on lovely, daddies got a date with a whole lot of killing and he's running late.

Thank the goddess! Good news, he got her message. Bad news, he coughed, which ment he couldn't communicate back the same way she could. No matter this was still enough good news to bring a twitch to a corner of her mouth. She turned to the group of asshats and the poor son of a ***** that was stupid enough to gain their full attention. She looked around slowly to see if any of them were paying attention to anything other than the man on the slab. Luckily, at the moment at least, it did not seem so.

Renee pulled her legs up to her chest slowly keeping an eye on the men as she moved. She turned her gaze back to the man for moment as she again spoke to him.

"I'm going to move closer to you while they are distracted. I might be able to free your hands."

She looked back at the humans for a moment before she continued.

"This might also land me on that slab next if we are unlucky . I need you to warn me if they start to turn towards us."

This was risky. Very risky but Renee didn't know where they were and her energy was depleting fast. Having someone who had the use of their hands would give them a way better chance at them making it out of here alive. If they could hand a moment to talk and plan, that would be better but as long as the humans where around that looked like a very slim chance.

She dug her feet into the ground as best she could before she began to push herself along the ground and wall towards him. This was taking more energy then she thought it would. Was day light near? Had she used that much energy to heal from the injuries she already had? She hoped it was the latter as the thought of falling unconscious again around the bruts scared her more than being subjected to more of their punishment.

She brought her legs up again and pushed off as she had before. She closed her eyes to focus on her movements and keep the thought of what was going on around her at bay. Why had this happen and why did it have to be now of all times. She prayed to the goddess she would make it out of here to see another night.

The vampire was tossed like so much refuse on the morgue slab and quickly strapped in. Whatever the restraints were, they were obviously made to hold superhuman strength because the creature thrashed madly against them but could not break free. The group of Paladins gathered around the poor sot, their attention taken for the moment and Enzo took advantage. He looked back at the female vampire and was pleased to see her inching toward him.

The third vampire male stayed still, watching the two of them with gleaming eyes, but was obviously smart enough to realize they were attempting to regain their freedom. He very carefully inclined his head toward Enzo and then went motionless once more. Good, they were all on the same page now. His eyes flicked back to the largest of the God Smacks to make sure he wasn't about to kick his teeth in, and satisfied the hulk was fully vested in what they were about to do, he looked back again to the telepath.

As she moved toward him, slowly, carefully, he began to do the same. A small shift of his back and then stop, stay motionless, feel out if they had been detected, repeat. It was painstaking but the two were making progress. He was just about to take another shift toward her when the 'volunteered' vampire began to scream. His head snapped toward the sound just in time to see the poor devils gut being cut open by a nasty looking bit of dagger, cerated edges pulling up chunks of flesh as it sliced.

"Who is your Sire?" one of the Paladins he couldn't see asked the still screaming fang. "What is your line?"

Well damn... the bastards were attempting to slice their way up the food chain. He turned his gaze back to the female, his brows knitted together with urgent concern over the new development to their situation, willing her to read him.

Over and over he thought one thing, kept it repeating until she answered him "We can't let him talk, we can't let him give up his sire." Enzo had no idea if the gutted fang was stoic or heroic enough to keep his pie hole shut but he sure as hell wasn't going to leave it up to 'he might be able to keep his mouth the **** closed" He slid towards her again, careful still even as his sense of urgency rocketed up to panic levels.

He would die before he gave up names, but Enzo knew himself and could control himself. He knew nothing about these others but by the look on the telepath and the other male, he could see they were feeling the same way as he right now.

Agonizing minutes later, and myriad screams as they continued to torture the hamburger on the table... then drip what had to be small amounts of blood into him... just enough to keep from the shadow realm, continue the knife games, repeat on cycle... and Enzo's arm brushed against hers. He'd never loved a woman more than he did right then, and if they made it out of here he was going to gift her with whatever the hell she didn't even know she wanted.

He inclined his own head now toward the male across the way, he too was intent on the pair as he obviously kept his hopes on them. Enzo didn't know how long the tortured and near death Pally's ***** could keep from voicing what they wanted of him, but if they couldn't save him?

Enzo would kill him himself.

~Bertram~The Gentleman's Gentleman watched the door of his Masters Apartments, his worry over his master was mounting by the minute. Not a shred of that worry presented itself upon Bertram's face, he was far too well schooled for such debasement. It was not uncommon for Mr. Dragomir to be out until all hours, Bertram was pleased to be in the service of such a hard working and hard playing employer, but the thrall never knew sir to be gone through sunrise without informing him. It was now close to 2 a.m. next night and still he hadn't received a single word. Sir was meticulous about directives being given for each day, down to what Scotch to have waiting for him upon his return home.

Finally Bertram could wait no longer, he walked to the rooms he called his own and quickly changed clothes into a pair of dark charcoal slacks and black turtleneck. Slipping a black wool peacoat on he checked his holster and weapon before taking the spare keys to the SUV sir kept for larger errands. Bertram made quick work getting to the underground parking garage that was a perk of the condo they resided in, and slipped into the Black with gold trim Cadilac. He pushed the ignition button and carefully made his way out of the garage. He KNEW that he should have done the unthinkable and argued his case with master to allow him to keep the blood bank appointment. He'd had a bad feeling as he opened the door for sir, watching him leave for the night.

Pushing the flat screen on the console he pulled up sir's contact list and quickly scrolled to sir's brother Azraeth. When the message light indicated begin talk to text, Bertram sent the quick text message informing the Elder Dragomir of his sir being missing since last night early, and where he'd been heading. That chore done, Bertram sped as fast as he dared and not be pulled over toward river rock. He had no idea where to even begin looking, but that wouldn't stop him from trying. Sir was his greatest joy, his greatest pride. It was not beneath him to kill anything that stood between them.

As she made her way inch by slowly agonizing inch towards the man she had been able to make contact with her thoughts turned to Simon. She reached out to him as she continued to move, hoping he would hear her and be able to find her. Or at the very least send someone who could.

"Simon! If you have ever loved me in your life you will drop what you are doing and come find me. Bring weapons!"

She knew that would light a fire under his ***. She just hoped he'd make it in time and wouldn't be looking at another pile of ashes like last time.

There is a small sigh of relief as she meets her new 'friend'. She reaches to his mind again as she turns to him and away from the unfortunate being still screaming a few feet from them.

"I'm going to free your hands then you quickly free mine."

Renee bent herself down to look at the binding around his wrist. She would not be able to untie them without looking but she had a quicker way to get them off.

"Sorry in advance if I knick you."

She 'said' as she opened her mouth and her all of her teeth turned to sharpen fangs. She bit down into the bindings and pulled. She did so a few more time, being as carefully as she could in her hasten state, until his hands were free. She sat back up and turned slightly to present her hands towards him as her eyes went back to the screaming man. From the looks of things it did not seem like it would be long now before either he gave in or turned to ash. Either way their time seemed to be shortening. Before long they would need a toy to play with.

Enzo kept careful watch on the gathering of holy rollers as they succeeded in making their victim begin to babble. He knew it would not be long before the fang broke and let lose whatever they wanted to know. They had moved on to dripping some sort of acid into the wounds and the accompanying screams were wrenching even to him. The telepath's mouth grew wide as he watched from his peripheral vision and filled with teeth that seemed carbon copied from a sharks... well that was new... and she lowered down making short work of his bonds.

His eyes didn't waver from his sentry duty as he carefully slipped his hands behind her and loosened her own bonds, then put his hands back behind him to make it look as if he were still trussed. He nodded to her own arms implying she should do the same as she headed back toward her previous spot, he didn't want to lose the element of surprise they finally had. If the tortured creature on the table talked... well they would have to clean this place out of everything that might have even a chance of hearing.

Waiting for what seemed an eternity, his wounds sluggishly healing without blood to speed things up, his jaw set tight against the pain, he looked for an opening. There were six of them all together, but if they could get the other vampire free of his bindings too, they stood a better chance. Though the save a sinner brigade had the advantage of health and numbers, a few of them had proven not too bright. He was just about to try and communicate with the Telepath again when the door opened and another man leaned in to bark out a command that two of the team come with him.

The chosen two looked their way as they put down their tools and Enzo did a rather good impression of being too wounded to move... which was easy as it was mostly true. Without word of protest they joined the the commander at the door and left, and without missing more than one heartbeat the remaining had the poor fang screeching once more.

Why couldn't it have been the behemoth that got called away? He sighed at the fates and readied himself to move, to ignore the pain that had become almost a life long enemy it seemed. Opening his eyes he looked toward the female and inclined his head locking gazes with her, letting her know he was about to get busy. And then he made his move.

He lolled his head back and allowed his legs to begin spasming, let the blood pooled in his mouth drip free down his chin, seizing up the rest of his body into a tight arc all to mimick a dying man's last grapple for life. Enzo seemed to be doing it right because none other than the hulking sword of St. Shitface came lumbering over with the possible intent of hurrying him along to shadow. As the Pally lowered down, his brows beetled over a surprisingly handsome face, Enzo brought his knee up, straight into the man's chin. He felt the connection roar through his leg, the pain made his vision swim forcing him to work his *** through it all in the time it took for the man's teeth to click hard together in a resounding snap. At the onset of the sound he'd been waiting for, Enzo brought his fist curving straight into the man's temple, then the other hand repeated on the other side, effectively boxing him with one after the other blows as he pushed forward and up onto the balls of his feet.

He continued his blows to the right side of the Pally's head, moving his other hand now to begin jabbing down into the windpipe of his opponent while the man reached up to grab his leg and pull. Enzo felt himself begin to slip, fall forward with the strength of it and allowed himself to be brought down... straight on top of his enemy. Straight on top of a good reach for the man's weapons. Quicker than lightning he grabbed for the knife sheathed on the Pally's hip, working to hold him off as the man tried to grip him in a crushing bear hug. Enzo knew he would never move his arms free if the Paladin succeeded so he took the low road to hell and brought his knee up hard into the man's nethers between his legs. He'd beg the divine God's of all things male's forgiveness later.

Grappling on the ground with the now writhing man, Enzo fought to get the knife up toward his neck and this time really did offer a silent prayer the other two vampires could manage to keep the smaller three Pally's the hell off his jock. Just until he tore this one's throat out... he was getting around to it...

"You two have a sweet day now," Simon waved off to two customers. One had a mint ice cream dish with some fudge and small chocolate chips. The other just plain twist of chocolate and vanilla. He was wearing black slacks, a green pastel shirt that had the "Sweet Treats" logo on it.

The man's eyes were checking over inventory when suddenly he stopped in his tracks.

Renee's mind probed his and she spoke, "Simon! If you have ever loved me in your life you will drop what you are doing and come find me. Bring weapons!"

His hand dove into a pocket. Simon dialed up his voice mail then nodded. "Okkkkayyy. Selena. You're in charge. Wife, well fiance, has a wedding emergency. I gotta go. You lock up. Make sure Katrina doesn't scare too many folks." A grin was on his face as he made his way into the office. A moment later, after making sure the coast was clear, Simon was gone from the shop.

Back in his home mere moments later, the vampire draped on his leather longcoat. A moment later Simon grabbed three cylinder cases. Normally, they were used by art collectors to haul valuable pieces. Simon found out if the weapons weren't too big they could have slipped in the case just fine. His trusty sword and two other weapons went inside. He swiped a silver gel pen then marked the top for his. From there he nabbed a mean looking two handed axe. Normally he would have quipped about the demon needing blood, given that the axe had a Demon's Head for a pommel Simon often joked that the weapon itself thirsted. The axe went over his back followed by the three cases.

The man practically blurred to grab three more goodies. One became strapped to a belt loop. Both hands now carried two items. Opening and closing his eyes, Simon's eyes were pure white, "Gotcha," he said. A vague sense of where to go spoke to Simon. Before he realized it once he had a lock on the location the man was in the shadows of the room of whatever fresh hell Renee got herself dragged into.

Shadows moved as Simon was in the room with Renee and at least one another. The man emerged looking like a one man army in action movies like a cliche. In reality he was just a very impressive looking weapons mule in a pastel green polo shirt. She did say bring weapons. So, he brought what could be spared.

Unfortunately, a reunion was cut short as several individuals were there. They were looking at Simon like he was the devil himself. Simon lashed out at one mentally. At first the individual was alone. Then whatever God they held sacred was there taking their hand and comforting them. Whatever reward they sought in the eyes of this individual had been given. A moment later the deity was kicking them out, screaming, "YOU'RE JUST LIKE THEM!" then the deity reached out to pluck the individual. That was how the Walking Nightmare ended.

Ducking for cover Simon used shadows to lash at Renee's restraints before she was slid one of the cases. He had to set the guns done just to move the case, but Simon knew Renee was good with a blade. "We really need to talk about your friends!" Simon yelled as he was expecting retaliation. "Get some cover!" breathing out Simon tried to remember times when he was stuck in battle. Despite the danger and severity of the situation, an old thrill tingled in his spine. Deep down he wanted this, well not this exactly but something like it. To feel that thrill of battle that called to him. Part of him just missed being in a fight. Although, he was hoping a gradual reintroduction to the sensations and not jumping into the deep end. Sometimes people did crazy things for love.

Renee steadied herself for what was about to happen. The man was putting on a show and she would be happy to help. Just as she sets out to make a move the shadows in the room moved. It wasn't her doing that so who could it be? She looked around the room and saw none other than Simon. Better late. He had weapons too. This would save her from having to try and steal one. Between him and the other man in the room the *** hats around them were fairly distracted.

She quickly grabbed at one of the weapons and lunged for the nearest man to her. She quickly swiped at one of his legs, knocking him to the ground. She moved to him and opened her mouth wide before she bit down into him. She had lost a lot of blood and hunger was taking over her. This left her exposed to the others but she could not think about that. She could not think of anything other than the blood now.

The man she fed from began to scream and fight back against her, though he was losing blood too quickly between the wound in his leg and now the gaping hole in his shoulder from her bite, he still tried to fight back against her. As she fed, she could feel her wounds healing and her strength returning to her. This made her feed faster and before long the man's screams went silent and his blows time her lessened till he lay beneath her, lifeless.

She pulled herself from the body, as her fangs retreated to normal, and now she could focus on her surroundings better. She looked around her saw her fellow captives. The one she had freed was taking on the brut. Damn. She had hoped for some payback against him. The other man seemed to still be bound by restraints. He would need to be freed before he could be anymore help. Then there was the lump of limbs left on the table. Somehow he still seemed to be alive but only just. He would need to be killed out of mercy.

Renee turned to grab at the weapon she had dropped, to put the poor man out of his misery, when a sharp pain was sent through her side. She turned to see what had happened and one of the others had attacked her as his blade now stuck into her rib cage, leaving her in n re pain and in shock, as she had not seen the man make his move.

He could hear loud scuffling coming from elsewhere in the room, loud bangs, grunts and the sound of meat hitting meat. He hoped in the back of his mind that the she fang was ok but there wasn't much he could do for her other than kill this mountain of rage in a people suit. Still struggling to bring the knife up, the paladin's hand gripped tight around Enzo's wrist, the Allurist leaned his head up and back, then slammed it back down forehead to ape's nose. He heard a satisfying crack and the smell of blood almost overwhelmed him into a frenzy.

Howling with pain and the instant reaction of hand brought toward injury, the Paladin lost his grip on Enzo and the vampire took the moment he'd waited for. The large hunting knife swung upward and then down, straight into the behemoth's neck. The blow so powerful the tip of the knife went straight through the entirety to bury into the concrete beneath them, semi pinning the now gargling man. Enzo looked down at him as he slid up to straddle, enjoying the look of confusion and pain as the eyes began to flicker in and out of this realm. The dragon enjoyed that look so much he almost missed his opportunity to make it hurt...

His smile was cruel and right in the pally's face, and when he watched the dawning truth of the matter form in the asshats pupils Enzo began to twist the knife.

The Paladin couldn't scream... hell Enzo didn't think the creature could breathe.. did Paladins need to breathe? He'd have to find out... but his body began to buck and attempt displacing his tormentor from him. Oh no Enz wasn't having a bit of that and held the knife still with one hand while reaching down with his other and began punching the paladin in the groin. Over and over until he felt rather than heard a soft 'popping' sound. Crimson foam began to gather at the dying man's mouth corners, flecking over his cheek as he gasped for yet more breath, clinging to life.

Enzo leaned down then and bit into the mans cheek, tearing chunks from the face, bathing in the blood that welled up in the meaty grind of a once handsome visage. He tore and spit until his teeth dragged on bone and then he finally twisted the knife one last time... severing the head.

He collapsed forward then, his body felt ragged and beat almost to death but he'd survived. He'd lived. Him. Not the asshat. Enzo. He began to laugh then, pushing back to his feet, coated in blood and gore, using the back of his hand to wipe at his face. Refocusing on the battle at hand, he watched just in time a smaller Pally lower his head and rush the smaller telepath. The Dragon roared and with a burst of blinding speed he covered the distance, wrapping his arms around his foe with crushing strength and tossing to the floor again... damn he hoped the femme procured a weapon of some sort... Bertram was going to faint when he got a load of what Enzo had done to this suit.
