Welcome to the Necropolis [Vampires & Blood Dolls]

Post by Amalea »

[Open to Vampires or Blood Dolls with access to The Dungeon]
< Tayden >Tayden never thought he’d be in this position. Sitting in a bar or club without Anika, as this was her sort of thing, than his. He would follow her just about anywhere, because they had seen the best and worst of the other. Truth was, they were more friends than anything else, with the occasional perks of sex and blood. One night, he knew they would go their own way-but Tayden never believed it would be because she had died.

What they had was a sweet set-up. She fed off him, and he off her every couple nights. They worked together as a cohesive team, and now that was gone. And while it had only been two weeks, Tayden needed the blood of a vampire. It was just a simple fact. He couldn’t get stronger if he didn’t get it.

Tayden looked down at the whiskey in the glass he had been babysitting for the better part of half an hour and sighed. He wasn’t good at this sort of thing. How do you ask some vampire if they can give you some of their blood? He’d done it before, but very few of those scenarios worked out well in his favor. Yet, here he was. In the throngs of vampires in their very own refuge.
The Necropolis.

He scanned the well known named vampire club and its outlay as he sat at the bar. There was an office of sorts to the right corner and the tender came around asking him if he wanted something else and Tayden just shook his head no before he grabbed the drink and moved around the club. He took a seat near the stage, watching the house band perform as his eyes darted around for potential vampires he might try and approach. But first, he needed a little liquid courage.

<Amalea> Inventory and ordering was a pain-in-the-rear making the redhead extremely happy that she only had to do so once a week. The automated inventory system employed for the higher-end product certainly helped, but there was still a fair bit to be done. Vampire tastes, she had found, tended to be fickle and fluid seemingly changing depending on which direction the wind blew. After a couple years in the business, though, Amalea had learned a couple tricks to keeping a decent stock sure to keep her customers happy.

Fingers flew over the keyboard as she entered the last few numbers. Double-checking her work, she saved her work. Leaving the computer to run all the reports, the human decided to venture to the main part of The Necropolis to see what was new and exciting. On a normal day, she saw the club for only a couple minutes as she walked through to the entrance of her domain. It didn’t seem so long ago that she had approached Amara about a job in the Necro.

Never in her wildest dreams did Lea ever consider that one day she’d be in charge of The Dungeon, the vampire-exclusive portion of the club. It wasn’t something she’d change though. Nodding to the bartenders as she approached the bar, she was pleased to be greeted with a cranberry spritzer. Taking it with a smile, she turned to glance over the gathered crowd. It always nice to see humans and vampires mingling together, even if some of the humans were unaware that vampires walked among them.

< Tayden > “Well hey, cutie.” Tayden looked up from his drink to see a woman standing across from his table, with her own drink in her hand. “Well, hey.” Tayden offered the woman a smile as he glanced her over with his own two eyes. The first thing he noticed was the cut and color of her dress. The material hung to her every curve like it had been fitted especially for her and flattered her form entirely. Then his eyes moved to her hair color, which was a sandy color blond. He didn’t have a thing against blond’s, Tayden just never felt attracted to them, no matter how pretty they were. And she was very pretty. Stunning even.

“Want to sit down?” he offered the woman, gesturing outwards to one of three empty chairs at the table he just claimed. ”Love to.” She said with a wide smile, pulled a chair out and sat directly across from Tayden. The third thing he did was to see if the woman was breathing and she was. He would make their conversation short and to the point before she got bored with him and moved on to a different person that captured her attention. ”I don’t think I’ve ever seen you in here before. You new in town?” She asked while raising her glass up to her lips.

“No. I just never had a reason to come here before.” Tayden admitted as he swirled the liquid in his own glass around and then took a quick sip of it. ”Why did you come tonight then?” The woman set the wine glass down and inched closer, staring deep into his eyes. She was trying to make a connection with him for whatever reason and Tayden couldn’t be more interested. He needed blood, but not her blood. “Because I had nothing better to do.” Tayden shrugged his shoulders before the woman got up after a roll of her eyes and moved away from his table after muttering ’jerk under her breath. It seemed the truth wasn’t always appeasing to everyone.

<Amalea> From her vantage point, Lea smiled as she noted a few of the regulars in their usual spots - some at the bar with others in the dimmer back booths. It was always nice to see familiar faces along side the unknowns. She had to admit that she missed the times when she knew nearly every person that walked through the door, but she still enjoyed her position. There was a certain satisfaction in running The Dungeon and providing discreet service to the vampires of Harper’s Rock.

The house band was popular as always though the night was still a bit too young for the dance floor to be completely full. There were a couple of human couples by the looks along with a quite drunk group of females off to one side. Catching the bartender’s eye, she nodded towards the group - an unspoken, but understood, signal that the group was now cut off from further drinks before they could cause a scene. Lea knew she wouldn’t have to tell the staff such things, they were very well trained, but it never hurt to let them know she had their backs.

It was the blond-haired woman that caught her attention next as she slid into a chair at an already occupied table. A singular eyebrow rose as the woman left the table mere moments later in a what appeared to be a huff. Apparently she hadn’t gotten what she wanted from the man seated there. Setting her empty glass on the bar, Lea made her way over to the table in question. “I’m sorry. Was she bothering you?”

< Tayden > Tayden’s line of vision shifted to a door in the club towards the right side of the club. This probably wouldn’t have happened, had Tayden not watched the woman that had been sitting across from him not even a few seconds ago, go to another part of the club to find something he couldn’t and wouldn’t offer her. And when he saw someone wearing something...bold, he would put it as, go into the door that had just been closed, Tayden’s interest was gathered on what was behind that door.

Maybe a back way out of the club? A very important person room? A private party room? A place to eat, even, maybe. The possibilities were endless in Tayden’s mind, but never, did he actually think it to be something other than a place that was typical or had been heard of being in a club before.

A redheaded woman came to the table, blocking his line towards the door for only a second as she approached the table. He didn’t even know she was talking to him-because Tayden wasn’t the guy that a lot of people approached. He was pretty ordinary, quiet and
tended to blend in for the most part. Until you knew him and knew that he drank vampire blood every couple nights.

He looked around, expecting for the redhead to have been talking to someone else at a different table, only to see she was standing next to him, waiting for his answer. “Hmm? Oh!” Tay laughed and then waved a hand in the air, dismissing the woman that had been there a few minutes before. “No. It was a short and sweet conversation.” He informed the woman with the red hair, in disbelief that this was now the third redhead he had encountered in less than two weeks. Harper Rock was getting better and better in Tayden’s eyes. “Do you know where that door leads?” She had to have worked here, because she was asking about that woman and the small scene the two of them had made for other tables nearby to see and hear.

<Amalea> Lea had to stifle a light giggle at the man’s bit of confusion. After all, it wouldn't do to laugh at the customers.his laugh, however, was a rather pleasant and welcome sound. It suited him well, she thought. “Glad to hear that. We have a very low tolerance here for people who bother other patrons,” she informed him with a smile. “We want people to be able to enjoy themselves.”

The redhead glanced towards the door she had exited not too long ago. She had come to the conclusion long ago that those who didn't know about The Dungeon tended to fall into one of two categories - fledglings who hadn't been told the secret and those humans who were unaware of the supernatural. There was a curiosity as to which of the groups this man belonged. She knew she could find out easily enough, but prefered to play things by ear for the moment.

“I do, actually,” she grinned mischievously, “Would be a crying shame if I didn’t know anything about the club I manage.” Gesturing with her hand, she indicated the room they were currently in, “We’re currently standing in the Necropolis. The door leads underground where The Dungeon, an exclusive club, awaits.” Lea didn’t want to give too much away until he gave an indication as to whether or not he was to be trusted with the real secret of the underground facility.

< Tayden > Tayden listened to the red head and then smirked a little. “Probably would give you a bad rep on yelp or something if you didn’t know.” He agreed, with a nod of his head before the smirk vanished and Tayden was chuckling again. He knew the name of the club, but didn’t know why it was named what it was named. He figured it was some sort of Italian or latin name for something, and that was good enough for him-other than the most important thing he knew about. Supposedly there were vampires that came here a lot, and maybe one of those vampires could help him out.

Tayden couldn’t help but try and figure out if this woman in front of him was a vampire or not. He glanced around, but each time his eyes swiveled back in her direction, he was looking for the telltale sign that this woman was breathing. Without being so obvious, or making it look like Tayden was staring her her boobs. He wasn’t that sort of guy-sure, tayden liked boobs as much as the next guy, but he didn’t need to stare at them. Nothing got accomplished by staring at them, other than making a woman feel very uncomfortable and referring to him as a creep or pervert. Everyone’s seen that in at least half a dozen movies.

“Like a VIP sort of room?” Tayden asked, mildly curious as to what exclusive meant in this sort of club. Money, reputation, etc, etc. Could be a lot of things in a club. “Or is it something that people book for their friends? How much does something like that run a person?” Tayden didn’t have a lot of friends, but he was trying to dig around just enough to figure out what this dungeon place was really about.

<Amalea> She laughed softly at his joke about Yelp. Honestly, she wasn't really sure if the club was even listed on the site as she had never thought to check. The red-head made a mental note to look into Yelp and sites like it. The customer reviews would be interesting to read, but she sincerely hoped damage control wouldn't be necessary.

Lea found herself idly wondering about the man seated in front of her. She was almost certain he wasn’t an older vampire. He didn't act like one based on her own experiences. For one, he wouldn’t have asked such questions and for two, most of the older ones really didn’t have more than a basic understanding of modern technology. Unlike a novice, she didn't assume anything from his choice of drink. While most vampires couldn't consume alcohol, there were certain ones, like Amara, that could even if no benefit was gained from it.

Honestly, she didn't care much either way as long as he didn't try to hurt anyone as she rather enjoyed trying to figure out if someone new was human or vampire without using her powers. It was a fun game she played with herself and helped hone her observation skills. He was a bit of an enigma, though, which was wonderful but made trying to gauge what she should disclose about The Dungeon difficult.

Finally, Lea decided on a basic version of the truth. “It’s more like a VIP area than an area for hire.” The red-head paused for a moment to consider her word choices, “To be completely honest, it's more like an entire separate nightclub geared towards a very discerning set of clientle. I wouldn't even be able to give you an estimate on booking it for a private function as no one has ever asked about it before now.”

It was a rather interesting concept, though, that perhaps she would have to consider another time. Hosting private functions was certainly one way to utilize the space and expand business. “Might have to consider that for the future. It has plenty of space for large functions.”

< Tayden > The woman seemed to be pretty forthcoming with information that was asked of her. Tayden appreciated it, even if he didn’t understand how a club could have a club and what the clients would be in there, compared to here. Dare he ask? Tayden wanted to know, because he wanted to know if he was the sort. Or if he wasn’t, why he wasn’t. Why were none of the people up here, down there?

“Depends...can you afford to do a party more than another club scene downstairs?” Tayden asked, looking the woman in the eyes. “Might have to look at liquor sales on each night and only make it rentable certain nights of the week. I imagine any club would make a killing on Thursdays through Saturday-early Sunday mornings pre bar close than you might make for a private party.” Tayden shrugged, offering his two cents worth, even if the woman hadn’t asked for it. He wasn’t the type to screw over a business, or anyone, really. And since it had been his suggestion, he didn’t want it to kick the woman in the butt later.

“What sort of clientele?” Tayden asked, his eyes going back to the ever present, yet ever ominous door that was for certain people-potentially not him. “Can I see? Check it out? Might want to rent in some night in the future. Never know.” Tayden said with a small grin, before taking another swig of his drink, eyes roaming off the door to the people in this club and not the special one downstairs.

<Amalea> Amalea had to admit she was more than a bit impressed by his break down for trying to decide if a private party would even be profitable. She had to be honest and say that the thought of renting out The Dungeon for the night (or day) ever occurred to her. It would be an interesting way to drive business and perhaps spark interest from new patrons, but only if it’d be profitable. She would have to look into that later along with the possibility of potentially renting it out to humans during the day. For the time being, her guest was far more deserving of her attention.

“It’s certainly something I probably should consider looking into even if it doesn’t end up being financially viable at this point in time. If it’s not viable, I should be able to also see the problematic areas that would need addressing. I really can’t see a downside to taking the time to do the number crunching, so thank you,” she smiled at the man in front of her. It really was a great idea and was one she hoped would work out. It had some fantastic potential.
How does one explain vampires to someone who may not be familiar with the city’s darker side? Perhaps the real question was ‘should someone explain vampires to someone they don’t know?’. Her answer was almost always ‘No,’ as silencing a human who took the news badly was a rather messy affair. It wasn’t something she was familiar with given she had never had that particular discussion with anyone nor was she particularly keen to do so. A half-truth would have to do for now, “The usual clientele are the sort that value their privacy and the ability to let their guard down and truly enjoy themselves in a safe, secure setting.”

Could he see it? That was the million dollar question if there ever was one. “I don’t know, can you?” she asked teasingly. “Sorry, old joke thanks to an English teacher I had in fourth grade who’d always say that when you asked if you could use the restroom.” She wasn’t entirely convinced he was being serious about potentially wanting to rent it, but she could tell he was genuinely curious what lay beyond that forbidden door. A quick glance at her watch told the female that the club wouldn’t be too crowded yet, though there would still be a fair number of fanged patrons already partaking of the facilities.

In the end, it was his good business sense and suggestion that swayed her towards allowing him entry. She suspected he’d make a good employee if he was seeking a job and for that, he’d have to know about vampires. Well, no, he didn’t have to know, she supposed, but it would make things easier later on if The Dungeon started offering rentals. If he reacted badly, she would just have to ensure things were taken care of, but for now, she’d have to see how things went, “Sure, we can head down and you can get a look at the facility if you’d like.”

< Tayden > Tayden laughed lightly as the redhead turned his own question around on him. He had a teacher like that towards the end of elementary school. Probably everyone did at one time or another. To him it seemed like teachers couldn’t wait to get the upper hand on a kid every now and again. To him it was like who cared? Everyone knew what the kid meant and was asking. But that was teachers for you. He had always been an above average kid-not exceptional and not one of those who stuck out-mostly C’s and B’s. So Tayden knew what it was like to be asked that question. Only now it seemed different and didn’t spark an eye roll from the guy like it had back then. He just waited, amused.

He had to admit that when she first started talking about the place downstairs that he wasn't surprised those people liked their privacy. There were no windows and the only way down seemed to be through a door that always stayed closed, minus an occasional entry or departure from the secret room. However, Tayden was surprised when she said he could go down there and look around, given all things the woman had said about clients wanting to be private and their activities too. “Cool.” He said as Tayden finished his drink and then stood up and offered her a hand. “I’m Tayden. Or Tay. Whichever works for you.” He didn’t care, it wasn’t like the nickname was overly special. His sister called him that, along with at least two others he knew off hand at a quick thought. “Now that you know my name, if anyone comes around blabbing about the facility-not that they will-but if they do, you know who to look for.” He added in, just in case she was wary of bringing him into a place that was supposed to be so...guarded? Secretive? Maybe both? He wasn’t sure what word to use, but it was somewhere between the both of those words. Tayden stood by the table, with enough distance away from the woman as to not make her uncomfortable. He would wait until she decided to keep going and allow him entrance, or to last minute turn him away.

Re: Welcome to the Necropolis

Post by Tayden (DELETED 7355) »

<Amalea> The redhead felt like Morpheus out of The Matrix trilogy introducing Neo to the reality of the Matrix. Except, in this case, she couldn't very well offer Tayden the same choice between the red and blue pills, though she was sorely tempted to do so just for the amusement of it all. He seemed to have a decent sense of humor, but it was best not to tempt fate quite yet. There would be enough of that shortly.

“Amalea,” she supplied as she took the offered hand, “Though most call me Lea. Pleased to meet you, Tay.” It was an interesting name to match a very interesting person. She could only hope that he continued to prove to be intriguing as she laughed lightly at his comment about knowing who to blame if someone came by yapping about The Dungeon. It was no secret that the facility existed, after all, the entrance was situated in the main club much like many VIP entrances in other clubs to which she had been. The real secret of The Dungeon was its patrons and their true nature. If he went blabbing about that, well, she was likely to be the least of his worries. While she didn’t condone it, there were some fanged members of society that hunted down humans that found out about their existence even if they kept quiet. At the very least, if he was human, he’d be safe with this building and she’d find a way to keep him safe within the city, if need be.

“Shall we?” she queried with a smile as she indicated the mysterious door. It did occur to her that she was perhaps sending off mixed signals about The Dungeon by claiming its patrons valued their privacy moments before offering to allow him access. It was true vampires enjoyed their privacy particularly given their survival hinged on the majority of humans remaining ignorant of their existence. However, Lea also knew there was something about Tay that told her she could trust him and she had long ago learned not to ignore her instincts. If he was a vampire, then there was no reason for him not to know about The Dungeon and be granted access. Even if he was human, she’d still be foolish to ignore her gut feelings.

The red-head gracefully navigated the slight maze of patrons and tables that stood between the pair and the door that held so much fascination to the male. Grasping one of the gargoyle doorknobs, she gave Tay a smile as it sampled her blood just as it did to any that sought entrance. A soft click indicated that entry was granted and she twisted the knob, pushing the door open slightly to reveal a dark hallway with an odd gloss to it. Gesturing for him to proceed her, she held the door open till he had stepped through before closing it behind her as she stepped inside.

The contrast between the club they had just come from and this hallway was what many considered drastic. There was no denying that this was an area meant to be separate from the main area. Where The Necro was marked by its marble floors and Gothic architecture of the cathedral it had been converted from, the walls here were black one-way glass installed with exacting precision. At the end of the hall stood a pair of bouncers flanking yet another door. Once again, Lea took the lead towards the next barrier in their journey, “I may not be a white rabbit, but I’m sure it may feel like I’m leading you down the rabbit’s hole.”

< Tayden > Amalea or Lea for short. He liked them both, but Lea reminded him of Princess Lea from Star Wars from when he just about a teenager. They weren’t his favorite things to watch, but for movies back then, Tayden had to admit all the detail and work they put into the movie was impressive for it’s time. No one could deny that-not even someone from their preteens. “Lea.” He said, just a single time to make sure he said it right and that he would remember it later, if and when he would need to use it to communicate with her again.

He would follow her with a nod to her two worded question, glancing at the door. He wouldn’t say it was a dire need to see what was behind the old looking door-simple curiosity, really. Lea had told him it was a place with a private venue, which didn’t necessarily mean that there was anything interesting going on. It could just be a boring business meeting, or even a wedding reception maybe. How awkward to interrupt both, but Lea didn’t seem to think it would be. If it had been, Tayden was sure she wouldn’t be taking him to the secret part in the club.

He watched her pull open the large door with ease, which surprised him. Weren’t those types of doors overly large and...heavy? Tayden believed they were from all the things he watched on the history channel about medieval times. He realized his mind was wandering away from what was currently going on, to what had already gone on, which didn’t matter, right? They were here, right now. Not then, now.

Once the door was opened, Tayden was allowed to pass through first. If Lea seemed slightly odd, or ‘off,’ he wouldn’t have gone first. He would have declined and offered for her to lead the way, but since she seemed pretty ‘normal,’ whatever that was these days-he imagined she wasn’t a serial killer or something, so that scored points in her favor, he proceeded into the hallway that was behind the door. She followed after, the door would then be closed, at about the time he saw two guys standing outside another door. So many doors. Maybe he should be worried. Would anyone hear him scream if he shouted for help, through not just one door, but two, or more? Tayden laughed inwardly at himself and then followed after Lea when she continued down the hall, making a reference to Alice in Wonderland. Sure, he had seen the movie-but never read the books. It wasn’t his genre or theme truth be told.

“Seems they really do want privacy.” Tayden commented as he pointed casually to the doors they were heading to, chuckling a little. He then began to wonder if there was something illegal going on behind all these doors. Some card thing, gambling ring, whatever. If it was, Tayden didn’t have a lot of money to play something serious. Hopefully they had coin slots for him to play, or this was going to be more awkward even yet.

<Amalea> “They do,” she acknowledged as they closed the distance between the large, heavy door behind them and the pair of bouncers ahead. It wasn't an overly long hallway, but it long enough to give the bouncers time to make judgement calls if the need arose. There was the occasional uninvited human that slipped in behind a guest and there was an ever updating list of vampires to be barred entry. In addition, her staff knew they all had the right to ask a patron to leave or bar them from entering if they had good cause.

“While The Necro has undergone several renovations, this area really hasn't been touched since Amara, the owner of both clubs, designed it years ago,” she laughed softly. “Really the only updates I've made to it have been to add some security features. They aren't strictly needed and they aren't meant to be particularly noticeable. We rarely have trouble with patrons but they appreciate knowing there are security measures in place.”

”Good evening, Miss Amalea,” the rich baritone voice greeted the pair as they reached the guarded door.

“Good evening, Bruce, John. How are you gentlemen tonight?” All the bouncers and the majority of the staff from this point forward were vampires, so she rarely asked about families; instead, she always made a point to ask each employee how they were on a daily basis.

”Pretty good. Looks like there's warmer weather a brewing,” Bruce replied with a grin. Lea chuckled lightly knowing the man’s love of fishing.

”Fairly well, Miss Amalea,” John smiled at the pair, ”Does your guest require a red or a blue pin this evening?”

“Blue, please,” she supplied easily before taking the presented pin, which was actually a golden color, and handing it Tay. “You’ll want to attach that towards your collar. It designates you as a guest for the evening.” What she left unspoken was that it would also mark him as off-limits to vampires looking to feed.

Once the pin was secure, she thanked the gentlemen as they open the doors to allow them entrance into yet another hall lined with the the same black glass. Candelabras lined the walls with their flickering flames reflecting off the glossy surface to light the way.

Instead of a door, the hallway ended in a thick, red velvet curtain flanked by a second set of bouncers. As one drew closer, the beat of the music playing below could be heard if one paid careful attention.

”Good evening, Miss Amalea and young Master,” the two men chorused as the pair approached.

“Good evening, Jacob, Tom. I hope you are well this evening,” the red-head replied with a smile. This time there was no idle chit-chat as each bouncer drew their side of the curtain out of the way, leaving an opening large enough for Lea and Tay to walk through. This also had the effect of revealing the musical selection currently playing.

Lea gestured for Tay to pass through the curtains. While they still weren't on the main floor of the club, there was no mistaken that they had indeed entered The Dungeon. As one of the club’s many levels, it housed the mid-level dance floor and provided entering guests access to the elevators which would deliver them to where their desires took them. From the balcony on this level, one could get a glance at the main floor and gather an idea of the overall scale of the operation.

< Tayden > It was….relaxing? Maybe even comforting to know that there weren’t a lot of issues in the club-the one they were approaching or the one they had just departed from. It gave the guy some ‘hope’ that he was safe here, if not from the patrons, than from the club workers themselves. “That’s good. That must mean whatever you’re doing...you’re doing right.” He chuckled, hearing one too many stories about bar or pub fights breaking out in the city, or the occasional stabbing in a club. It was why he didn’t go out much, but desperate times called for desperate measures, seeing as the last time he was in this kind of setting, he had been part of a fight, even if it was unintentional. Tayden figured he had a right to defend himself and his friend once they had been broached by a couple of punks.

It helped that Lea talked to everyone and even gave names. Should anything go down in here tonight-which Tayden solemnly hoped nothing would. Each guard at the door conversed with her and asked questions, while she gave Tayden their names and then a gold hued pin, when he swore she told them blue. He cocked his head to the side a little, wondering what that was about, but it wasn’t as if it seemed like anything ‘funny’ was going on. Everything just seemed...natural. At ease even.

The curtain caught Tayden’s attention long before they approached it, which spoke to him like it was a very important place. He’d seen curtains being pushed aside to reveal things in a movie before, or even read it in a couple books-being the bookworm he sort of was. If it was the right genre and theme, that was. “Thanks guys.” Tayden would say to the final set of bouncers as they pulled open the curtains to reveal the part of the club known as ‘The Dungeon.”

The guy moved into the club by ducking under the curtain as he moved through it more to the side, than the large open middle; a misjudgement on his part, and then just stopped and stood there with eyes as large as saucers as he took in the scene in front of him. Never, had Tayden seen something like this. Heard of it, sure? But what he had heard was tame in comparison to what he was actually seeing. It was when a woman dressed in leather clad came walking by, pointing out how he had his mouth open, that he realized it was open and promptly snapped it shut to avoid looking like a flat out buffoon on his end.

While people were scantily clad on some aspects, which was what initially caught his attention, but what was also going on, behind all the unfamiliar things he had never seen before. Were people feeding from other people? Tayden squinted his eyes and then realized that what he thought he saw, he in fact did see. “Woah. Is this place for real?” Was all he could say as he turned to Lea and looked at her pointedly. “It is true. About their being vampires here. I never really knew, but heard something once or twice.” Tayden was shocked to say in the least that the rumors were true, because as he sat at the table upstairs, it had seemed like those rumors were nothing but a bust.

<Amalea> Lea had to really appreciate that her companion felt that she was doing things right if they had such a non-issue with security. In truth, most of the patrons of The Dungeon knew better than to risk the wrath of the clubs’ security force, having either seen or heard stories about what happened to those who had violated the neutrality of the building in the past. On the flip side, the humans that frequented The Necro tended to be well-behaved, on average, partly due to the highly visible bouncers and partly due to the club’s reputation for being a premiere spot in the city. The redhead supposed that most wouldn’t want to have to admit to being black-listed from the club.

She hadn’t missed the slight tilt of Tay’s head when presented with a gold pin rather than the requested blue. To his credit, though, he hadn’t asked about it, though she suspected he was probably curious as to the reasoning. From that, she was able to surmise that he likely had never seen The Matrix, or if he had, he had missed the reference to one of the film’s most quoted scenes. It had been her idea to use it as inspiration for their own code within the club.

She had thanked Jacob and Tom herself before following Tayden through the opening. Remaining a couple steps to the side for the first few moments, she watched him carefully to gauge his reaction. Lea had to bite her lip from laughing as the male’s eyes grew wide as he took in the scenery. The club was admittedly a bit busier than she had originally estimated, but that would only serve to give him a better insight in the mystery behind the forbidden door.

The redhead had to chuckle as one of the leather clad patrons came by to tell the male his jaw had dropped. “Play nice, Ana,” she chided in a soft tease, “It’s his first time.” She winked at the woman as she strolled by heading for the elevators and most likely one of the private rooms in the basement Oubliette. No doubt the vampire had plans for the evening though Lea was just grateful her usual whip was nowhere to be seen as she wasn’t entirely sure Tayden would have been able to handle both together.

His question assured her that he hadn’t gone catatonic on her. She was about to reply when Tayden turned to her with his follow up statement about vampires. An eyebrow raised as she studied him for a moment wondering if security was going to be needed, “It’s real,” she confirmed, “Don’t tell me you’re one of those anti-vampire people.” Dear gods, she hoped not, but at least now she knew for sure he was human.

< Tayden > His eyes followed the woman in leather; the woman now known as Ana thanks for Lea. Not because he liked what he saw, just because Tayden still couldn’t believe what it was he was seeing. It was a little surreal, alarming and even downright...insane? Crazy? Impossible? Not the fact that vampires existed, but just this scene in it’s entirety. That there was this hidden world in a seemingly ‘normal’ everyday club people went to, that only a select, elite few knew about.

“What?” Tayden asked after Lea mentioned the possibility of being a person who either disliked vampires, or wanted to even harm them in some way? “No. God no.” Tayden chuckled with a shake of his head before running a hand over his beard, eyes still wide to his forehead. “I love vampires.” He blurted out before letting his palm smack into his forehead. “I don’t know a lot of them personally. I don’t mean it like that. What I mean is…” Tayden sighed, slightly frustrated with his ever wandering mouth that spoke faster than the guy could think things up.

“I don’t love them. I mean I don’t mind them. As long as they’re alright. I’ve met a lot more asshole humans than vampires.” He slowed down his words as his eyes returned to Lea, though they would occasionally glance over and around the club to make sure that everything was fine. That this wasn't some crazy place where humans were tied up and kept hostage for their blood (a slight Blade reference) that he had seen somewhere. Maybe at a friend’s house or his own apartment a long time ago. “And truth be told, I came here because a friend of a friend told me they came here a lot. I was hoping to set something up. For myself.” Tayden pulled at the upper lip at the right side to show off his own set of razor like fangs, clearly indicating just what type of human he was and wasn’t.

<Amalea> Amalea couldn’t help but to laugh at Tayden’s declaration about loving vampires before digging himself into a deeper hole. He seemed to be incredibly flustered and she was willing to bet his brain currently wasn’t able to keep up with his mouth. She really couldn’t blame him it was all quite a bit to process. Honestly, the redhead was just glad he seemed to be taking this all in stride. He was taking this a lot better than some of the employees that had passed through the doors of the club.

“Oh, good,” she chuckled with a soft shake of her head, as she teased him lightly “I’d hate to have had to let security deal with you.” Lea smiled at him as he slowed down; hopefully letting his brain and mouth synchronize. “I know what you mean. I have more vampire friends than I do human ones. To be completely honest, most humans annoy the everloving **** out of me.” She sighed softly, “Too many are dramaqueens that have no sense at all.” It was the politest way of putting her extreme dislike for those humans that screamed bloody murder about vampires.

Her brain tried to process the meaning behind his words as she kept one on the club before turning to look at him. There was no missing the distinct razor-like fangs peeking from beneath his lip, particularly since she had a similar set hiding behind perfectly tinted lips. She glanced at him for a moment, before looking over the club and its many patrons. “Blood Thief,” it was a statement, “You’ll certainly have much better luck here in The Dungeon than you ever would upstairs in The Necro.” There was a brief silence before she continued, “The Dungeon is set up as a place where pretty much anything consensual goes. With that in mind, a system was designed to help accomplish that, at least in the realm of feeding.”

< Tayden > She laughed at him, but Tay didn't mind. He would probably laugh at himself if he were in her shoes too. Lea made a subtle joke about his error on words too, which eased the possible tension his words might have caused him, mostly.

His type of human wasn't always the most popular kind. He had learned that a few weeks ago personally, and had heard it too. When Lea said what it was Tay was, the guy expected a much larger ordeal than it actually was. Tayden Brown irises swept from left to right as he waits for bouncers to tell everyone or charge at the guy. none of this happens though. Instead, judging by what Lea seemed to indicate, it seemed his subset of humans were welcome here. How did he become so lucky suddenly?

“I won't tell anyone or take without asking. That's just not okay. I wouldn't like it if the shoes were on the other foot. Can we? People won't mind me asking?” He looked at Lea for any indication of approval, and when Tay got it, he was on his way to make a, few friends and maybe even the perfect donor.
This thread is now open to any vampires or blood dolls with access to the Dungeon.

Re: Welcome to the Necropolis [Vampires & Blood Dolls]

Post by Amalea »

She had to smile at his demeanor as it seemed to do a 180 degree change. It was almost as if he’d been expected to get kicked out simply for being a Blood Thief. If she kicked out all Blood Thieves and Necuratists, then The Dungeon wouldn't have a manager and wouldn't be fulfilling the philosophy of the Necropolis. It would be rather backwards to have a club for vampires if some were excluded based solely on their feeding choices. Rather, the club's ran under the simple premise that as long as feedings were consensual, there were no issues.

There was that nervous run of Tayden’s tongue again and she had to admit it was kind of cute. She had nodded in reply to his questions as she tried to formulate her reply. “They won’t but…” Well, so much for explaining the pin system to him beforehand; it’d have to wait for later. He would be alright exploring and testing the waters for the time being. A quiet word was had with the closest security team member to keep an eye on the male. She trusted him, otherwise she would have chased after him, but she prefered that he remained in one piece should he run into trouble.

Satisfied that he would be fine, she returned to her office, heading straight through the small passageway that led to her home away from home. Opening a rather small hidden closet, she shimmed out of her dress, placing it on one of the hangers hanging over the small hamper. Giving the door a soft kick closed, she turned her attention to the larger closet she had opened, looking for a suitable outfit for the night. It had been a while since Lea had taken a night off just to enjoy the club and she was looking forward to just letting loose. She’d also hopefully be able to keep an eye on her guest as well and show that Blood Thieves really were welcome here.

Slipping her shoes off, she removed her chosen dress from its hanger, taking it to the ensuite bathroom to get ready. It wasn’t long before the red-head was applying the final touches to her minimal makeup and swapping her hoops for a dragon. A pair of tall boots seemed to complete the ensemble until she stepped back into the closet area. Placing her full hand against one panel, she waited for the faint beep indicating the handprint had been accepted before removing it. Once the vault drawer slid open, the red-head removed the nearly ever-present band from around her arm placing it on the soft velvet lining. The silver and black pin she had been wearing earlier also found its way into its resting spot as she swapped it for a silver and red version. As she waited for the drawer to close and lock, she affixed the new pin to her dress.

Returning to the main club area, Lea was happy to see that no incidents had occurred in her short absence. With a small smile and wave to her staff, the red-head found her way over to the dance floor to see what sort of adventures the night would bring.
