Sleazy jazz and a dangerous woman ( Raven Talius )

Post by Enzo Dragomir »

Enzo sat back down on the elegantly padded chair. Pushed slightly back from the table he crossed his leg and eyed the other gentlemen gathered for business. Most older than him, five all together bringing them to a party of six, the Allurist took a sip of his royal scotch letting them talk.

He needed them to agree to pump vast quantities of cash into marketing a former New York Times best selling author. The problem was, this author hadn't written anything for 20 years. Not that it mattered to the geezer club sipping brandy and cigars, exchanging remember whens amongst themselves.

The club was luxurious and gaudy. Meant to caress your brain with nostalgia for an era most that frequented it had never lived through. 20's art deco tossed black and gold satin and velvet against intricate designs decorating every piece of wood that dared enter. Heavy chandeliers trickled down prisms of light, painting the fleshy faces in rainbow hues. There was a stage as well, Enzo knew Burlesque was on the menu, along with some oversexed kitten ready to deep throat some high class version of 'give me some money too."

This was just the sort of place Enzo preferred. Dress code required jackets. The women wore slinky little dresses by Givenchy several sizes too small and lipstick several sizes to red. His gray gaze well hidden behind small round darkened glasses, hiding the dragon shape of his pupils, the Dragomir watched one of those asses prance by in form fitting black sequins. Back of dress completely optional and she had chosen to opt out. He loved a womans back. The way it tapered down into a wealth of flesh, and back up again to the spot just below their neck. Curved arrows guiding a mans lips.

Music started back up, loud enough to be enjoyed, soft enough you could still be heard when you whispered inappropriate things into a womans ear and hopefully were slapped. That made the new dragon smile as he too pulled out a cigar. The elder of his business companions offered his cigar clip and soon the Havana gold was well lit and circling Enzo's head like a halo accidently left on the devil.

The dark haired Euro knew he was in for a long night, these jackabouts were settled in and keen on pretending it really WAS the 20's and they were once again in their prime. Not something Enzo would ever have to worry about. Growing old. He'd beat that curse when his sire Nikolae had decided he was worth more than a bite to eat.

Continuing to sit in silence, enjoying the flow of a Miles Davis song 'chasing down the voodoo' he wondered if that was a portend. He'd met his first Sorcerer the other night while prodding him to accept his money for blood bags. The deal had gone down but afterward a minor zombie apocalypse had made the kid chuck off a bad spell and run as fast as his scrawny hip hop wanna be legs could carry him.

After Enzo had thrown him to safety. You're welcome you French ********. He vowed to himself if 'black magic woman' was played he was going to invest in some lucky palm readers establishement and make it the new Chris Angel club of Canada.

His eyes continued to wander over the women in the club as they relaxed with martinis and miles music. He hadn't found that something to spark his interest yet. Nothing special to coax him to move from his seat. He wouldn't make small talk for less than dazzling or horrifyingly unique. He only hunted those who had it in them to capture his interests for a time.

They had to be something he might be persuaded to sire had he been of a mind to have any brats attached to his happily free dragon ***. Maybe he just hadn't seen enough of the club. The music was good, the scotch correct and his table mates looked old enough to speak with fond remembrance of stormin the norman. He excused himself as he pushed the contracts toward them and they laughed indulgently like drunk uncles setting their of age relative on the unsuspecting strippers of some seedy take my virginity please dive.

Adjusting his gold and black tie, the exquisite wool of his Armani suit was a double breasted delight in the darkest of charcoal, Enzo made his way to the smaller secondary bar on the other side of the stage. All the better to see what sweet little thing might be hiding her light from him. Damn he really did love being dead.

Raven simply shook her head as she couldn’t believe that she was chasing some stupid lead in a high priced club. It was ridiculous in every sense of the word, however, a lead was a lead and she wasn’t going to not chase it down just because of its location. The woman brushed a few of her black and red locks from her face and stepped in. She was aware that she drew stares from the crowd, but at the moment, she didn’t care. The fledgling stood out in the crowd, mostly because of how she was dressed. Not only that but how she generally looked was far from the usual so called classy. However, she wasn’t interested in being classy. She was simply interested in information; however small the lead was. Silently, she slipped into the shadows that ran around the edges of the room and moved about them rather comfortable within them. The woman was a predator and a murderer after all.

Her brown hues flickered over the room as she moved over towards a small little bar on the side of the stage. As she approached the bar, she noted the bartender who had spied her and watch as his eyes trailed up and down her body. A soft chuckle bubbled to her lips as she slipped onto the darkest possible stool and leaned her forearms upon the bar counter top. ”No weapons on this one, I’m not looking for trouble tonight so don’t worry.” A smirk accompanied her words then and she watched as he eyed her nose piercing before he gave a nod of his head, satisfied that she was telling the truth. She had deliberately worn the clothing that she did so then her words would ring true, not that she could possibly tell a lie. ”Scotch, neat.” Raven rolled her head then to stretch the muscles in her neck before she sighed.

While she hadn’t had high hopes for this meeting, she had still had them and so far, the man that she was looking for, was a no show. Perhaps he had been held up, so she had decided to order and pretend to drink rather than appear as if she hadn't been stood up by an information broker. The woman wouldn’t be surprised that the one that she hunted had caught a hold of the news that she was hunting him and had disposed of the information broker himself. As her drink arrived and she threw some money at the bartender, her brown hues moved to the woman who pranced about upon the stage. The human was lithe and very, very pretty. She couldn’t help but wonder just as to what the human would do when she found fangs sinking into the human's throat. Slicing through the membrane of skin and piercing the jugular so then the blood flowed freely.

Silently, she tore her gaze away from the dancer as she licked her lips. Now wasn’t the exact time that she should focus upon the insatiable thirst that plagued her, but it was more entertaining than her physical pleasures now days. Raven’s gaze shifted to the bartender and noted the chocolate tresses that caressed his bare neck. She could only imagine the pulse that softly thrummed through his body, supplying blood to every one of his limbs. The woman ran a tongue over her teeth, glad that her fangs hadn’t pressed free of their prison. Her brown hues watched as he served another customer and imagine her tongue sliding along the pulse before she bit down to rip his throat out. In fact, she was tempted to crawl over the bar and do just that in front of all of these witnesses. Then proceeded to hunt all of them down like cat and mouse.

A soft growl rose to her lips as she listened to his heart beat, thump, thump, thump. It was alluring to say in the least and it took all of her willpower to pull her gaze away from him. Raven reached out to gently take her glass only to press it to her lips. She tilted the glass enough so then the liquid touched her lips, but didn’t go passed them. A fake swallowed followed this motion as she pulled the glass from her lips. She would give him five more minutes before she left.

His smile was polite but his eyes said 'no, not a chance in hell.' with cold conviction. He nodded his head as the generous finalizer it was, passing the table of 'ladies' on his way to the smaller bar. Enzo still had hopes. The night club was glamorous and packed full of possibilities coated in velvet and silk. His confident stroll brought more eyes to his tall frame, the cut of his suit, the surety he wore like armour saying he was ruler of his world.

There was nothing to impede him, no sudden cloud bursting open to release a masterpiece so when he slipped against the bar and raised his finger against the wood for another drink, mild disappointment made his first sip bitter. The scotch was neat, and the finest of fires. Warmed him from the tongue down and made him believe his heart still beat. He smiled at that and set the rocks glass down. Enzo was about to look toward the sugared blood drop on stage when the colour of scarlet and ebony caught his attention.

It was attached to a woman a seat down from him and using the shadows like an opera cape masking the phantom. He wasn't sure what he found more interesting, the fact she was trying to remain unnoticed or that she was coloured and dressed in such a way as to be impossible to ignore. Enzo was intrigued with either possibility. He looked over the top of his rounded glasses, the better to see into the shadow, and was not disappointed.

Mystery wrapped in a Tiffany's calibre package. The goody bag on stage finished her set and the softer strains of crime jazz sounded from the pit. Enzo laughed at how fitting that was, he knew he was still feeling things to the extreme but really didn't care if he were inappropriate or not. What were a few disapproving looks from dewy eyed cows? Hell if they hadn't all been bovine to him even when he was a breather. Now that he was Dragon?

Enzo slid into the seat next to the woman and then scowled at the bartender. "Daniel get the woman a real glass of scotch. From the safe behind you, put it on my tab." one inhale from her glass and he realized the bartend had tried to serve up rail like it were fine wine. He turned his head after making sure his orders were carried out looked at the little bit of fire beside him. His beautifully cuffed sleeve brushed against her arm as he picked up her glass and dropped it into the well.

"Hello dove. Tell me... what's a fine little monster like you doing in such a vanilla place like this?"

Raven watched the bartender once more move around behind the bar and spied him serving a drink to yet another man. Her brown eyes watched the man with a predatory gaze and she could almost imagine what his blood would taste like upon her tongue. Thump, thump, thump, beat his heart and she was just oh so tempted to go heck with the rules. Perhaps she could just have one little bite without people noticing, but she was sure that they would notice a missing bartender when he suddenly disappeared from behind the bar. Silently, she pulled out her phone and noticed that she had been waiting for five minutes. A shake of her head was given as she pocketed her phone. The man wasn’t coming, this she was sure of and she was just about to stand when a man that she had briefly noticed before, seated himself down beside her.

A brow was perked as the man suddenly scowled at the bartender and called him by name as he told him to get her a real glass of scotch. So the bartender’s name was Daniel, perhaps she would have a snack upon his neck later. She felt the man’s sleeve brush her arm as he picked up her glass and basically tossed the liquid down the drain. Suddenly, he was speaking to her and a smirk curved her lips then as he referred to her as Dove. Silently, her brown gaze lifted to view the man's eyes and she focused upon him. She was listening, listening for a heartbeat, but when she found none, she realized that he too was a vampire. It seemed that she was running into vampires at nearly every turn and she glanced at the drink that was now presented before her. She cocked her head to the right then, ”Such a waste of good scotch, scotch that I cannot drink.”

Again, the woman found herself in close proximity to yet another vampire and she was having to find the inner willpower to not strike out at the man. Raven had gone unnoticed for the better part of her human life, then upon her turning, it was as if suddenly people, well, vampires noticed her. ”It’s not the bartender’s fault, I don’t look like all of you refined people. I’m the ruffian from the street.” Another smirk caressed her lips then as her gaze flickered over the man in a tailored suit. Of course she knew that this wasn’t her scene because technically she was a ruffian. A murdering ruffian, but a ruffian no less. The woman, however was distracting him from most of his question, because she wasn’t exactly going to give him the answer that he desired from her. She had no inclination to do so. Mostly because she kept her own business to herself.

”I would ask just as to why you would be here, but from the way you dress, this is exactly your scene. I have to say, I’m a little disappointed.” The woman was at it again, baiting yet another vampire just to get a rise and possibly some pain out of it. She itched for it, but most were inclined not to give her what she wanted and so she fell back upon her blood-lust as if it was a crutch. Raven tore through criminals with the occasional beauty on the side. It was what she was, a murderer in the form of a woman. Her hand lifted and she wasn’t sure why she did this but she lightly gripped his sleeve in between her thumb and index finger rubbing at the material. ”Such fine material wouldn’t last long in my world.” She let go of it suddenly and turned her gaze away from him.

He was a man of wealth or so it seemed, she didn’t think that he had what it took to actually survive on the streets. Why would he even need to? He had money and more likely men in his employ that could do his dirty work for him. Raven also doubted that he had what it took to deal with the likes of her. She was a difficult person to get along with, more so than normal. The woman didn't trust a soul and that made interacting with her that much more difficult.

Enzo listened with casual interest her adorable attempts to rob him of his sack. He lifted his tumbler of scotch and took a healthy drink of it before setting it down. Why? Because he could, and obviously she could not.

He watched her elegant fingers smooth over his suit sleeve, the jacket handling the mauling like a champ, then leaned forward so that he faced the bar but his lips hovered close to her ear. "Dove, I think it's you who believes they can't survive in my world, you're as uncomfortable a woman I've seen since the bondage song came out. Or that trashy little vinyl and whips club down the way opened, but I digress." his chiseled face smirked as he stared forward "Unless you're a member and of course I'd be happy to give you a lift."

The Allurist had no idea what had this bit of woman all grrr arrgghh but it was something out of the ordinary and that was all he needed. He turned then to face her once more, leaning his elbow against the mahogany, his other hand lowering his sunglasses just a touch so that his dragon slitted gaze could appraise her better. It wasn't like she could scream when she saw them. It would draw attention to her whole serial killer vibe.

"So what do you say princess?" his thumb pushed his specs back up the bridge of his nose and he took another large swallow of scotch, draining it and setting it back to the bar keep. "Do we go outside and thumb wrestle for who can win the hunger games? Or do we get all impersonal and have some fun?" Enzo didn't even wonder which she'd pick, because by the looks of her she was having an issue keeping defanged in public. He wondered for a minute if perhaps he should take her to sanctuary but decided against it due to lack of fun.

'what's say you and I abandon these fops and find us a juice bar mmm?" He realized he didn't have much time left if he wanted to keep the crowded bar unmurdered. The eye catching femme vamp was close to the end of her chain. He reached into his jacket's inside pocket and pulled out an extra pair of sunglasses... he made sure he was always able to hide the gaze he now wore permanently... it made people screamish. "And here Dove. Your baby browns are looking a tad deviant."

Enzo smiled again, and offered his hand, palm upwards as he stepped once back from her in a gallant move. He was not a nice guy, he didn't even bother to pretend to be, but something in him stirred and he decided to see what rose to the top. She needed something. By the fronted disgust when she'd mentioned his 'world', it was something she might not be able to afford. Be it money or social status.

Who said a knight in shining armour couldn't also be the one you needed saving from? Enzo loved being a conundrum. A damned piece of work. "After you princess stabbish."

Raven took note of the man’s strange eyes and filed it away to later ask her sire about. Clover knew many things, whether she knew about the eyes would be a something that Raven would soon find out back at the den. Until then she took note of the man’s antics and she adopted a look of boredom. She didn’t like the way the stranger pushed into her personal space and whispered in her ear when all she wanted to do, was push him onto his back and bare her fangs in warning. Raven wasn’t your average lets go to some bondage place and play. Oh no, that was far too vanilla for her. Whips were fun, but knives were far better when it cut through skin and drew blood. She wondered if the man knew just who he was talking to, if he even realized that her tastes were not normal by any standards. Her tastes rivalled many within those bondage places and her strength far greater. Immortality had made wrestling with humans rather pointless and boring.

Hunger though, rivalled her need for pain due to lack there-of and she sighed. Here was a man trying to tempt her with pet names and whispers, but her brown hues continued to watch the bartender. Thump, thump, thump, beat his heart and it was music to her ears. That was when the man gave her a pair of sunglasses and mentioned her baby browns. A brow rose then as she finally turned her gaze back to the male who held a hand out. She was sure that if she was going to murder someone, it would be the man now in front of her being rather pushy. Slowly, she slipped off her stool and tapped the pair of glasses within her hands. ”My baby browns always look deviant, it’s how I get what I want.” She pushed her way passed him then, ignoring the man’s hand, she wasn’t going to touch him, not unless it was a fist to the face.

”Keep calling me Dove and I will show you just how mean I can be… Lizard.” Raven said as she moved passed him and towards the door. Oh yes, she was showing him her back simply because she could. The man was obnoxious and a little cocky. By the end of the night, she was sure that she would have him running for the hills. The woman was constantly making Jesse rip his hair out in frustration, but lately she had decided to play nice with him until he gave her a reason not to. This man, was not the head of her family nor was he someone that she figured would last. Rich men rarely last and if she sunk her fangs into one of them, she was sure that they wouldn’t taste like money at all. However, money nor material objects didn’t appeal to her, not at all. She never understood the fascination with it all.

Now what to do in order to get her new little rich kid off her tail so then she could then chase down the informant that was supposed to show. Perhaps she would find him dead in some back street with his throat split open. The woman wouldn’t be surprised, as her brother always aimed for the throat. Not to mention that back streets were his favourite meeting spot. If she did find the informant dead in some back street with his throat cut, then it would narrow her search. Simply because it meant that her twin was keeping to the same patterns. A hand lifted then to lightly touch the side of her own neck where a tattoo adorned it now. Once outside, she tilted her head back and sighed. The cool night air caressed her bare stomach before she glanced over her shoulder waiting for the lizard to make an appearance. Or perhaps, this was her time to slip off?

She waited for a moment before she moved to slip down the side alley to the club. The woman could have walked a couple of blocks away and then turned down a corner, but going down the side of a building she was just in was less obvious and most people wouldn’t look. It made for an easy and lazy get away, she doubted that he would be smart enough to look. Silently she pressed her back to a brick wall and pulled out a packet of cigarettes from her pocket. She pulled one free and slipped it in between her lips. After she had pocketing the packet, she started patting down the pockets of her jacket for her lighter which appeared to be missing. Had she left it back in her bag at the den?

Enzo watched her walk through the crowd toward the door, a very fine view indeed. He'd gotten what he wanted, shocking, and she was leaving the candy bowl of humans untouched. These pretty little liars were far to high up the blood bag food chain to just go missing. He motioned the bar keep to charge his tab and pad it well for himself, inclining his head toward his band of merry blue hairs. Raising a brow he let them chortle with glee as they assumed he was leaving after little red riding hood to wolf her down.

He set his gaze on his destination, the door, and like water the crowd parted for him easing his way. It wasn't vampiric or magic, it was psychology. People saw your destination and determination? They subconsciously ordered themselves out of the way. Business tactics 101.

As his hand curved around the brass bar of the door he again stopped and quickly rethought things. This bird was trouble. He repeated that in his head and added a Bogart accent to it. Laughter filled the awning that ran toward the street as Enzo walked out, unsurprised to see she hadn't lingered. He knew she wouldn't put out extra speed, she needed to blend in, especially in this neighborhood. Death came quick to Masque breakers. She hadn't gone down the street on either side. She had rabbited it. He walked to the edge of the building, tilting his head to listen for heart beats down the alleyway. It didn't take long to determine a very fast paced patter of a small heart... just what he was looking for. It was more than likely a cat hiding from something that had moved past it, spooking it for a minute. Causing that faster beat.

Enzo slipped down the way, until he quietly came upon a figure further up that seemed to be patting itself down. The white flash between long fingers told him she wanted a light. And he was a gentleman.

The flame leapt as if from no where and the dragon smiled as he held it beneath her cig. He didn't speak, his lips curved into a half smile as he pulled his own sobranie out of the black and gold case. Either the woman was mental or there was something clawing her from the inside out. He leaned into his cupped hand and lit his own cigarette, the smell of fine tobacco made him breath in through his nose to enjoy it.

Enzo was an Allurist through and through, he enjoyed beauty and pain, the truth of either could not be had without the other. When he looked at her he knew there was an ache in her that she wasn't sharing. Not that he blamed her, he'd kill a mans puppy, mama, truck and woman, to keep any one of his secrets close. "I'm Enzo Dragomir." there wasn't anything else to say. He knew that she could have made him chase her, she had no idea what an accomplished hunter he was and it wouldn't have lasted long at all. But she didn't. Now it was up to him to find out why she had ventured so far out of her element.

No one made themselves so obviously uncomfortable without one hell of a reason. So he turned up the intensity of his gaze while slipping his glasses off his face. The full gray of his lineages mark watching her through the cloud of smoke. It was alarming how easily he could shift gears, from satirical play boy to intelligent don't **** with me in less than a second. Enzo slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled out his car keys, dangling them from his free hand. "I have a feeling whatever you are into is going to need sharp things."

Enzo's lizard brain slithered into existence as he watched her eyes tell a tale at mention of weaponry, sniffing out the small grain of information it gave him. NOW it was a hunt, this oddly alluring she fang had his full attention. A Dragon's curiousity wouldn't quit until it was sated. Lucky for her.

Raven perked a brow suddenly as a small flame was held underneath the end of her cigarette and at that very moment, she wasn’t going to knock it back. She inhaled the moment that it caught alight and she leaned her head back against the bricks before she slowly exhaled. The rich man has actually figured it out, good for him. She thought to herself as she simply enjoyed being outside and away from temptation for now. However, she wasn’t fully away from temptation, not in the slightest. The man introduced himself as Enzo Dragomir and slipped off the glasses. His eyes really caught her attention and wondered just as to why he had such eye. Was it some curse? Or was there power behind those eyes? Either way, it intrigued her something shocking until he mentioned sharp objects. Slowly, she head cocked to the right as her lips turned downwards, was she such an open book that a rich man could guess that she itched for pain?

Her fangs pressed into her mouth and she fought the urge to go to hell with it all and throw a punch. Again, Jesse would be unhappy that she started a fight with another vampire. Hell, he was all about the warring families, but she on the other hand wanted nothing to do with it. Why start a war over a simple fight between two people? This man however, had bothered to check the alley and she wondered as to why he would. Her hand brought the cigarette back to her lips then and she inhaled the smoke once more. Once, she had lit upon in a random street waiting for her prey to walk pass when a human had mentioned that cigarettes killed. If only that it did cause her pain, she would enjoy it that much more than she already did.

Silence reigned over the woman as she pondered just as to what she should do in this particular situation and her gaze noticed the keys he held. The man probably had some fancy car and probably some fancy house to go with it. She pocketed the glasses, no longer bothering to hold onto them as a sudden idea popped up into her head. Enzo had gone from playboy to serious, this she had noted with his eyes watching her like a predator waiting for some hole to weasel out her weaknesses. Raven on the other hand, wasn’t inclined to go sniffing out the informant that bailed on her until she had gotten rid of the other vampire. She didn’t exactly want anyone poking their nose into her business. As it was, Clover knew about her twin and that was one person too many. ”Perhaps you should go fetch those sharp things from your car?”

She refrained from saying that she would stay right where she was, mostly because she couldn’t lie. If the man did go fetch the sharp things from his car, then she would give him the slip. Move on to another area. Too bad she didn’t have her tome on her, she could tome back to the den and he would lose her scent altogether. Then, she could go about finding why the information broker hadn’t turned up. However, the moment when he had mentioned sharp things, she had to admit that she had wanted to stick around. To feel the slice of the blade across her skin; the sharp pain of the sharp edge. It was her addiction to feel pain and he was enticing her with it. Finally, she deduced that it had to be those eyes that could see more than she let on.

Her shoulders rose and fell in a simple shrug then, ”I wouldn’t worry too much about leaving me alone, I’m sure that whatever street animal that comes along will keep me company.” The woman smirked at the man then, knowing full well that she hadn't given him a name. Oh no, if he wanted anything, he was going to have to work for it. ”They love me.”

Enzo watched her for a long minute. Cars and people passed the mouth of the alleyway as the moments ticked by and they silently enjoyed a smoke. He knew this one was dangerous and knew her way around a weapon. He didn't know how deep that went, the lengths she'd go to alleviate her own inner demons, but he did know there was far more to her than the face she was showing.

"Princess, I'm not offering my services and general bad assery without my Montante. You scream trouble and I just scraped all the blood from under my nails. No need for repeat when it's avoidable." He didn't bother mentioning the zombie problem he'd run into earlier that week, didn't mention for some reason the streets were even more dangerous than usual.

He certainly didn't mention the magic frog he'd bought blood bags from, shocking the shite out of him that there were real life Harry Potter mercs out there. Even if the little caster had been French. Figured those bastards fell back on magic. Less physical work to muss their hair.

Enzo knew what she must think of him. He knew it because that is what he wanted people to see. The way she was looking at him told him he was doing it right. That amused the hell out of the Allurist and he decided to keep his charm levels mild with this one.

Now that was respect. He smiled instead as she likened him to an animal, truer words never spoken, but unlike the dogs and mongrels she was used to, he was a Dragon the get of Nikolae and that strength ran through the hardness he had brought to the table on his own. But damned if she wasn't fun to poke. Smart *** mouth and long *** legs. Brilliant.

"You and me princess stabsalot? We're going to be fast friends." he didn't clue her in as to why. She was smart enough to figure it out. "Now I get that you aren't a share and care type of killer, your hero is probably anyone riding a motorcycle on a shooting spree." he smirked again around his sobranie before continuing "So my little natural born killer, I'm not going to delve into your deep and darkest m'kay?" Enzo gave her an audacious wink with that one "But I'll help you terrorize what you need from people and keep you a hint more subtle about it. Win win princess."

Enzo dropped his cig to the ground and pressed it out with his heel. He didn't put his glasses back on, he wanted to continue enjoying a minute without them and his company not screaming and running then running and screaming.
"What say you stabsies?"

Re: Sleazy jazz and a dangerous woman ( Raven Talius )

Raven lifted the cigarette to her lips as she listened to the man before her speak and a simple brow rose in silence. Did he really want in and expect blood not to be spilled? She inhaled then and pulled the cigarette from her lips and dropped it to the stony street underneath their feet and stamped out the flame. That wouldn’t do. The woman killed because she was constantly thirsty and she killed because she was frustrated at the lack of constant pain. Her brown hues watched the man as she shrugged off the wall and slowly made her way over to the rich man. It was then that she lifted a hand to lightly push into the man’s chest, to shove him back into the wall should he allow her to do so. A hiss rose to her lips as she glared up at the man.

”Let’s get three things straight here; Mr. I’m Enzo. Firstly, nothing I do doesn’t get done without blood being spilled, that’s a big rule for me, because at least I get some enjoyment out of it.” Who did this man think he was? Trying to elbow in on her business and expect that she would just stand by and allow it. ”Two. I don’t have a hero, only a type and rich boys don’t fit the bill. Why? Because they are spoiled and have everything handed to them in money. As far as I’m concerned, you couldn’t handle yourself where I’m going.” A scoff soon rose to her lips then as she narrowed her eyes in a simple challenge. ”An I especially know that you couldn’t handle yourself unless you’re in you’re in your own element, but where I’m going, we don’t play with weapons. We use them.” Why was this man pushing to follow her?

Lately, all it seemed that people kept wanting to push her buttons. ”Thirdly, we won’t be friends. Mostly because I’m selective and rich boys don't make the cut.” Yes, she had never known a rich man who wanted to help out a street rat, which was why she had bothered to know how to defend herself even a little bit. However, as much as she shoved people out of her life, she did wonder if they were strong enough to push back and force their way into her life. It was a trait that she looked for but most failed. She figured it was because she was a woman and they didn’t want a law suit, but she couldn’t afford a lawyer. Not to mention that she wanted the physical pain that came from when they shoved back. So far, only her sire had shoved back and she had only made peace with Jesse because he was the head of the family.

She scowled at the man before she turned away from him as a, ”Tch,” rose to her lips. The woman was done and she didn’t care if he followed her, but so long as he remained, vanilla she wasn’t in the least bit interested. His eyes were interesting, yes, but she could ask her sire about such things. An answer that would come eventually, but for now, she was only interesting in murdering some poor sod. Raven wasn’t going to waste her time with the man, especially when all he wanted to use were mere words. Rich men were always full of themselves and could mostly talk themselves into or out of anything. Especially when paired with money. She wasn’t swayed by money and words rarely meant a thing to her, especially when actions meant more. Silently, she began to walk away from the man, her heels clicked upon the stone underneath their feet as she walked towards the back of the alley that would take her to a back street.
