WHEREAS the causes of these conflicts arise principally from innate competition, only fed and goaded by political competition,
THEREFORE I, the Bloodline’s Progenitor, henceforth declare a threefold policy to ensure tranquility and prosperity for the Kindred of my Lineage. These policies apply to all, without exception, regardless of Faction, Path or Bloodline. Regardless of loyalty or pledge. Regardless of station and regardless of ignorance. Any who transgress shall pay the penalty.
INJUNCTION THE FIRST. All Kindred of the Trahison Bloodline are categorically banned from the creation of childer within the environs of Harper Rock without permission from the Progenitor of the Bloodline. There are to be, without exception, no Embraces without permission. Those who transgress this prohibition shall be punished by enforced torpor/, exile for a period to the wilderness not to be less that 7 days and nights, mutilation/crippling or other punishment as judged on a case-by-case basis. Those Embraced willingly or upon request share in the guilt of their sires but are to be held less accountable. Those of our bloodline who travel outside the environs of the city to perform these acts and then return with the fruit of their deeds are to be judged as if they had Embraced inside Harper Rock itself. Disenthrallment will not be considered a way around this law. It matters not if you wear the name Trahison, what matters is that you are of our Blood.
INJUNCTION THE SECOND. All beneath my law are enjoined from slaying Kindred, be it directly or indirectly unless they are an imminent danger to our kind. While we are eternally subject to the vicissitudes of sun, Fae attacks and mortal wrath, within Harper Rock we shall be safe from one another. Those who commit this crime shall be punished as above, whether they kill directly or through means of living agents. If your thrall kills, the ash is on your hands; he does not shield you any more than a dagger protects its wielder from guilt. This extends to all vampires of all Bloodlines. Before you raise a weapon in anger, be sure that you are prepared to suffer the consequences of your actions.
INJUNCTION THE THIRD. All Kindred within my Lineage my law are forbidden to mate with human or vampire. Those who transgress this prohibition shall be punished by being beaten with a red hot sword, heated in a cauldron of coals from a forge, with the punishment witnessed by no less than one member of each of what are known as the Main Bloodlines. This will show the others our dedication to reducing the turmoil and perils facing our kind and show we are prepared to lead by example.. The creation of Fadebeasts will not be tolerated. They are an affront to our kind and those willing to risk producing them are deserving of their fate. If you are of the female gender, you shall take no lover. If male, you will ensure the lover does not survive to conceive an atrocity.
BY MEANS OF THESE INJUNCTIONS, peace shall descend at last upon our Bloodline within weary but unbowed Harper Rock. With no strain of competing neonate appetites, my Bloodline can exist in equilibrium.With no fear of harm at each other's’ hands, we can work together to solve our problems with civil equanimity.
Should circumstances merit exceptions to these rules, they shall come only in the form of a Progenitor’s Indulgence, and then only with at least 7 days’ forewarning. A Progenitor’s Indulgence is a single night in which these rules are rescinded: while it is in effect, all Kindred or my Bloodline may Embrace without legal repercussion, and may similarly slaughter each other with no fear of your Progenitor‘s wrath. Do not look for the Indulgence soon: I describe it solely so that all who are of my Blood may know that in this place, in the collective, extending our condition is inextricably linked with its destruction.
As Progenitor of the Trahison Bloodline, I, Trahir Trahison retain sole rights to amend, add to, or subtract from these listed Injunctions as situations demand or to append this document at my sole discretion.
