Is anyone....
Doing Holiday care package thingiers this year?
Yes, I know it's a few months away, but I was wondering if anyone was interested and how that all worked out the years prior. I'm hoping to get real crafty since I get to stay home with the wee one more than I did last year...but idk how that all went down.

Why are you taking me through troubled waters, I asked? Because your enemies cannot swim, he replied.

Re: Is anyone....
Cassandra's player has run that the last three years. I participated those years and enjoyed doing so VERY much. I'd do it again for sure.
And it's not too early, it usually happened around the early fall I think. To beat the holiday rush.

Re: Is anyone....
Sorry, just got the message about this, I stopped logging in here quite a while ago. This would be the correct time to get the ball rolling, because it takes a week or two for signups, a few weeks for most people to actually send stuff out, longer for some folks, and it's better to avoid the holidays.
I'll give it some thought. This usually ends up costing me a fair amount of money to run, and a fair amount of time chasing people around. If not me, if someone else wants to run it, I'll provide what non-monetary time-limited help and advice I can.

I lit the fuse and ran; I burned down who I am, and I've rebuilt again...

Busy period for mail is November-December. October is actually pretty good.
I used to work in a post office >.> <.<
Though if your going overseas, then its pretty much 28-30 days standard parcel.

<< Honestly if we change how it's done....
Just have everyone put into a random name gen and exchange a package with that random person. They handle all their own details....
Because easier?
I've already started on my Christmas package I send to Drea/Serendipity every year, either way, but I could maybe handle another. I'd just prefer to work out all the details myself with someone who wants to do it with me.

That's a good thought. Why don't we just start a signup list now, match peoples up and they figure out the rest.
Want to start a new thread for that or do it on this one? Or maybe Becca could edit the subject for 'Package Exchange Signups" if she wanted...
however it worksout, I am in. But I'd rather do it after the holidays myself and yes I am a re-gifter, lol. I promise no fruitcakes though!
I stuff my packages FULL too.
*ETA
no overseas, for me though. And I'm in the states.
