A list of questions about vampires
-When a human is turned into a vampire, do they go to the shadow realm like when a vampire dies?
-How often does a vampire need to feed?
-Does the sun harm all vampires? Which can go out into the day?
Sorry for all the questions. I can't seem to find everything I'm looking for on the wiki.
Thank you in advance

I'm not sure. There is death, certainly, which is connected in some way to the SR. But I've always played it as a blood carried metamorphosis which adjusts the composition of the body in some magical way.
-How often does a vampire need to feed?
Once a day, cause that's when your vampire loses one blood. But they can go without for a few days, cause until they have no blood.
From a game mechanic view: Keeping your vampire blood above 10 means you get PXP each day, PXP buys powers, so convert that logic to IC, and that can mean your vampire needs to feed once a day to 'gain magical strength'
-Does the sun harm all vampires? Which can go out into the day?
Yes, the sun harms all vampires. There is a power you can get on the Killer path, that allows a vampire to stay in the sun and not be harmed, but at essence all vampires are prone to burning when caught in the sun.

The wiki will say that they do, yes. As soon as the sun comes up, they are out. The only way they wake is if in great pain - or with great struggle.
Unless you're a killer with the daywalker power, or unless you earn enough RPP to get the Antiagrypniac RP power which allows vampires to stay awake during the day.

Sorry hun, can you show me where it says that?Cosimo Alessi wrote:The wiki will say that they do, yes. As soon as the sun comes up, they are out. The only way they wake is if in great pain - or with great struggle.
I remember it being implied a lot, I don't remember it straight-up telling you, you're out for the count when the sun rises. >.<
I've always RPed it as such, but, that was at risk of breaking canon. I don't believe I ever found it on the Wiki either.

Re: A list of questions about vampires
Here3) When the sun rises, it does two things to a common vampire. First, it sends them into the deepest of sleeps, from which only pain can wake them (often into an uncontrollable frenzy). Second, sunlight sears the very skin of a vampire, causing it to smolder and sizzle like the breast of a swine on a roasting spit. Although it heals quite quickly, sustained sunlight can cause more lasting wounds to vampires, and certainly reveals their true nature to mortals.

Re: A list of questions about vampires
Ah ha! Thank you... er... both! XD
I have seen that. I never considered it TRUE cannon. It was written in the perspective of a person, a Vampire Hunter, and not written from an OOC standpoint... i.e. These are the rules, you should follow them.
I never really considered it lore on that basis. Unreliable witness and all that.
