Lennox Tyler: Doc had mentioned upon her turning that she needed a safe place to sleep. Being around humans for a long period of time wasn't safe especially since she couldn't be out during the day or wasn't supposed to be. He had said that he would work out her staying with Minx. Double checking the address, she made her way to West Towers. She wasn't too far away with spending most of her time in the Catacombs but she still needed to take the train. Arriving in Honeymead, she made her way to the towers and onto the elevator. As she stepped out of the elevator, she walked up to one of the three doors and knocked unsure if her sister was home.
Dominique:It was a night and then some. Finally she had spent it out and watching two people she cared about making the next step in sharing the rest of eternity together. It was perfect. Barely getting her eyes open and finding her way out of the bedroom she navigated her body through the maze of dark hallways and black tiled steps leading into the one room she found herself in the most. The crafting and weapons room was soothing if that made any sense. Her small colorful body sat down into the black seat and looked at what she had yet to accomplish spread out before her in pieces. A slide of HOPE through her bed styled dark hair cleared her vision. After a nice stretch she would begin to work. That was when the knock at her door changed her plans. She glanced at the clock and got back up.
One barefoot stepped in front of the other and she opened the door standing in her khaki boy shorts and trademark white tank with "I do my own stunts" printed in black across it. Nothing special but then again she wasn't expecting on entertaining. It was likely someone dropping off the mail that ended up in their box. It was common. the door pulled open and she was looking at a female. "Hello...." Sounded odd to say but she was still waking up and immediately looked at the woman’s placement of her hands.
Lennox Tyler: As the door opened, she looked at the woman. It phased her that Minx was one that she hadn't met yet but then that might have been easily fixed it she had been invited to the wedding the night before. She wasn't sure how many were aware of her change from human to vampire so she wasn't going to just get it out of Doc where it was and invade. He might not even have told her sisters yet and if they didn't read the d'Artois board, then they wouldn't know. Lennox couldn't assume either way what her family knew. Her eyes moved from the woman back down to her phone and then up to her once again. "Minx?"
Dominique: Dominique's brow arched in curiosity as her head tilted and inclined. She was nearly feeling the pull of her body to step forward as well at the mention of the name. He called her Minx. She never heard it from anyone else. Doc sent this woman and now she looked her over in the brief silents seconds that passed while she assessed what she saw. Doc had found himself another. She wasn't not able to read minds nor would she care to. She had never shared the details of what brought her to hold more of the man's blood in her veins than of her original own. would she ask this woman why she didn't run? Perhaps she had. Now it was coming to her. The brief mention of his being busy. Now she had the cold proof he indeed
had been. She stepped back and held the door open while scratching the back of her head trying to come up with something to say. "Yes. Let me guess..." She nodded towards the dark large room behind her. "Doc sent you. Come in."
Lennox Tyler: Her eyes looked scanned the woman better now and she wanted to take a step back as she noticed the tattoos. Tattoos didn't scare here but some of them were familiar to what she saw on the tattoo freaks in the swears that she killed as a human to protect Doc. He trusted the woman and he spoke of her as her being her sister so she would trust her. Standing firm as she wasn't one to run. "Yes, Professor X sent me. He said that I can stay here." Stepping into the apartment, she looked around before turning back to the woman. "Thank you."
Dominique: Dominique's eyes rolled at the Professor X. apparently he had been more than busy. Now he was Professor X. Whatever. She left the door open and gave the dog chewing on the decapitated stuffed bunny next to the sofa a pat on the head. Vader had a thing for bunnies that was well known. 'Welcome." She turned and eyed the the door behind the woman as she released the weight of her body to the sofa and waited for her to shut the door. Her dark eyes pinned on the ink free skin and saw a canvas like she always did when a body was untouched by art. Her fingertips rubbed at her chin then she settled back. A woman's castle was soothing and now it appeared she was getting a roomy. "You are more than welcome here. He was right." She felt the woman looking at her and looked down at her arms then her colorful hands and smirked. "It's cool. You are safe. The tattoos and the marks won't rub off."
Lennox Tyler: Shutting the door, she smiled and nodded. "Thank you" Stepping into the apartment more and toward the woman that was her sister. Minx was checking her out but she wasn't sure what she was thinking nor would she assume. "I appreciate the hospitality. It's better than finding a dark corner in the catacombs." It was when she spoke of the tattoos that she looked more closely. Yes...a few of them were the same as the paladins. "I knew tattoos wouldn't come off but I wasn't sure about the marks. Though glad you're on our side. I would have to hate fighting just to go to sleep."
Dominique:Dominique's fingers stopped working at her chin and froze. She heard lines from Star Wars that gave a lift to the left side of her mouth leaving the right just hanging until she was more amused. "You are safe here. I am on my side by the way. What one are you on?" Dominique had been through enough battles and ******** to know what side she was on. "I can break it down for you so you will feel safer and relaxed. I expect only a couple things. One is no using a weapon in these walls. You have any agenda then it is outside that door. Not in my home. I like living here and if I don't need the hassle of explaining away a shootout with those who shouldn't have to hear it. Two is anyone you see in here is usually invited with the exception of a few recents party crashers. Hot blooded or cold they are to be left alone. Start with them and we may have a few issues getting along. Ask Professor X. I will deal with and take out the trash. You see someone or activity you question you ask me. Again my place and my rules. Sounds good so far?" Her own expression was certainly not one appearing to be open for negotiation yet.
Lennox Tyler:"What side? I would assume mine, Professor X's, his intimate family which includes you and above all the masquerade. I wouldn't want to die for someone's **** up. Only my own." Lennox was new to this world but even though she was going to die, she was glad that she won Doc over with severed heads from the paladins in the sewers. There was a lot that she still needed to learn but she was up for the challenge. She would take it all on. Nodding her head as she paid attention to Minx as she was about to break everything down. Canting her head as she spoke of the rules and about not attacking anyone that entered, especially humans. She was fine up until the humans part. "Sounds fine but why do you allow humans in? Professor X kept me pretty shielded from others until I was turned except the one party he took me too. Are they a risk to the masquerade?"
She took in the look on Minx's face but Lennox was learning and whether Minx like it or not...she would have to accept that there would be questions or how in the hell would Lennox learn. Being one for protecting their existence, she wouldn't just accept anything that would put them in danger but in Minx's home...she would accept that she's not to attack them but she would ask question.
Dominique:The woman was loyal. That she could appreciate that. Dominique had her own understanding with Doc. It was very clear and there were no questions. It didn’t mean that she was ready to open up like some flower and reveal all that was inside to someone she now was linked to. Dominique's eyes glanced again at the woman. Her gaze slid from her neck to her arms. She was close to Doc. He was likely kind to her starting out. It didn’t bother her. She blew up his house and was a pain in the ***. He was no angel and yadda yadda. She knew the deal and it was what it was. Now she was eyeing his latest creation and could see his work. She was cute. Probably thought he rocked the world and stroked his ego. She sighed. Why did she allow humans in?
“Doc treats humans in that set up he has on the other side of town. Humans are everywhere. Just because I fucked up and got my *** handed to me doesn’t change the fact I had people I love and care about around me that still have a pulse. Only time I have been attacked has actually been by a cold hand. **** me over, I **** you over. I trust those who have earned it. It is the world we live in. Human and otherwise. Can live in a bubble or get the **** over it and move forward. I can’t do more than be true to who I am. Just like you have to do before you rest when the sun comes up. It is up to you what you make of it and whether or not you can see yourself through another night. Doc knows I am not going to brainwash you with the politics or do any more than keep an eye out for you or he wouldn’t have sent you here.”
Lennox Tyler: She couldn’t help but notice that Minx was studying her. It was almost as if she was on display for all criticism or praise but with being the youngest but also probably the oldest...it put her in an awkward position as she was sure that Minx wouldn’t be the only one to size her up and judge but she didn’t care. Let anyone throw what they want at her. She would take it and run. It was who she was. She wasn’t raised to be weak. Her family was rich yes but not weak.
“I understand all too well the practices that he has in the labs. I was one of his patients and now I work there.” Perking her brow at her comments, she shook her head. “Dude...seriously. It was just a question. Doc had me write a letter to my parents before I died and was ‘cremated’ so that they wouldn’t come looking for me. I had to cut off all communication so forgive me for being curious. I’m trying to learn…” She didn’t feel bad for being defensive but with Minx going off about getting her *** handed to her and not letting go of those she cared for made her feel that she was defensive initially. “I won’t break the rules of your home...it was just an honest question, mainly for safety reasons.”
Dominique:“I thought it was all black and white.” She felt the tug of those invisible ties around that muscle in her chest that was supposed be the center of where that little thing called love radiated from. The tug was getting tighter the more she thought about it. He was still there. He would always be there. Why was she feeling comfortable saying what was about to come out of her mouth she was not quite sure but it was the truth. “I was wrong. I learned a few things the hard way.” She paused after making the understatement of the decade. “You will too. We are basically borne into it. There is no manual being passed out to set you on this adventure. You will say things, do things and feel it is right deep in your bones. Then in the blink of an eye you will find yourself trying to choke down what you changed your mind on because your world as you know it was suddenly knocked off its axis. Nothing is concrete, clear or cut and dry. Not even human life or our presence. Each are vulnerable. Just because you don’t have to worry about not growing old doesn’t mean you can’t be weak, lose when you thought you would win or even die...again. I spent the better part of the end of last year doing all of the above. It was a huge reality check. Best advice I can give at this moment because I have been winging it.”
