When Blood Meets Blood

"--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--"

April 29th, 2015 (Predated to actual RP date)

Lennox Tyler: Doc had mentioned upon her turning that she needed a safe place to sleep. Being around humans for a long period of time wasn't safe especially since she couldn't be out during the day or wasn't supposed to be. He had said that he would work out her staying with Minx. Double checking the address, she made her way to West Towers. She wasn't too far away with spending most of her time in the Catacombs but she still needed to take the train. Arriving in Honeymead, she made her way to the towers and onto the elevator. As she stepped out of the elevator, she walked up to one of the three doors and knocked unsure if her sister was home.

Dominique:It was a night and then some. Finally she had spent it out and watching two people she cared about making the next step in sharing the rest of eternity together. It was perfect. Barely getting her eyes open and finding her way out of the bedroom she navigated her body through the maze of dark hallways and black tiled steps leading into the one room she found herself in the most. The crafting and weapons room was soothing if that made any sense. Her small colorful body sat down into the black seat and looked at what she had yet to accomplish spread out before her in pieces. A slide of HOPE through her bed styled dark hair cleared her vision. After a nice stretch she would begin to work. That was when the knock at her door changed her plans. She glanced at the clock and got back up.

One barefoot stepped in front of the other and she opened the door standing in her khaki boy shorts and trademark white tank with "I do my own stunts" printed in black across it. Nothing special but then again she wasn't expecting on entertaining. It was likely someone dropping off the mail that ended up in their box. It was common. the door pulled open and she was looking at a female. "Hello...." Sounded odd to say but she was still waking up and immediately looked at the woman’s placement of her hands.

Lennox Tyler: As the door opened, she looked at the woman. It phased her that Minx was one that she hadn't met yet but then that might have been easily fixed it she had been invited to the wedding the night before. She wasn't sure how many were aware of her change from human to vampire so she wasn't going to just get it out of Doc where it was and invade. He might not even have told her sisters yet and if they didn't read the d'Artois board, then they wouldn't know. Lennox couldn't assume either way what her family knew. Her eyes moved from the woman back down to her phone and then up to her once again. "Minx?"

Dominique: Dominique's brow arched in curiosity as her head tilted and inclined. She was nearly feeling the pull of her body to step forward as well at the mention of the name. He called her Minx. She never heard it from anyone else. Doc sent this woman and now she looked her over in the brief silents seconds that passed while she assessed what she saw. Doc had found himself another. She wasn't not able to read minds nor would she care to. She had never shared the details of what brought her to hold more of the man's blood in her veins than of her original own. would she ask this woman why she didn't run? Perhaps she had. Now it was coming to her. The brief mention of his being busy. Now she had the cold proof he indeed
had been. She stepped back and held the door open while scratching the back of her head trying to come up with something to say. "Yes. Let me guess..." She nodded towards the dark large room behind her. "Doc sent you. Come in."

Lennox Tyler: Her eyes looked scanned the woman better now and she wanted to take a step back as she noticed the tattoos. Tattoos didn't scare here but some of them were familiar to what she saw on the tattoo freaks in the swears that she killed as a human to protect Doc. He trusted the woman and he spoke of her as her being her sister so she would trust her. Standing firm as she wasn't one to run. "Yes, Professor X sent me. He said that I can stay here." Stepping into the apartment, she looked around before turning back to the woman. "Thank you."

Dominique: Dominique's eyes rolled at the Professor X. apparently he had been more than busy. Now he was Professor X. Whatever. She left the door open and gave the dog chewing on the decapitated stuffed bunny next to the sofa a pat on the head. Vader had a thing for bunnies that was well known. 'Welcome." She turned and eyed the the door behind the woman as she released the weight of her body to the sofa and waited for her to shut the door. Her dark eyes pinned on the ink free skin and saw a canvas like she always did when a body was untouched by art. Her fingertips rubbed at her chin then she settled back. A woman's castle was soothing and now it appeared she was getting a roomy. "You are more than welcome here. He was right." She felt the woman looking at her and looked down at her arms then her colorful hands and smirked. "It's cool. You are safe. The tattoos and the marks won't rub off."

Lennox Tyler: Shutting the door, she smiled and nodded. "Thank you" Stepping into the apartment more and toward the woman that was her sister. Minx was checking her out but she wasn't sure what she was thinking nor would she assume. "I appreciate the hospitality. It's better than finding a dark corner in the catacombs." It was when she spoke of the tattoos that she looked more closely. Yes...a few of them were the same as the paladins. "I knew tattoos wouldn't come off but I wasn't sure about the marks. Though glad you're on our side. I would have to hate fighting just to go to sleep."

Dominique:Dominique's fingers stopped working at her chin and froze. She heard lines from Star Wars that gave a lift to the left side of her mouth leaving the right just hanging until she was more amused. "You are safe here. I am on my side by the way. What one are you on?" Dominique had been through enough battles and ******** to know what side she was on. "I can break it down for you so you will feel safer and relaxed. I expect only a couple things. One is no using a weapon in these walls. You have any agenda then it is outside that door. Not in my home. I like living here and if I don't need the hassle of explaining away a shootout with those who shouldn't have to hear it. Two is anyone you see in here is usually invited with the exception of a few recents party crashers. Hot blooded or cold they are to be left alone. Start with them and we may have a few issues getting along. Ask Professor X. I will deal with and take out the trash. You see someone or activity you question you ask me. Again my place and my rules. Sounds good so far?" Her own expression was certainly not one appearing to be open for negotiation yet.

Lennox Tyler:"What side? I would assume mine, Professor X's, his intimate family which includes you and above all the masquerade. I wouldn't want to die for someone's **** up. Only my own." Lennox was new to this world but even though she was going to die, she was glad that she won Doc over with severed heads from the paladins in the sewers. There was a lot that she still needed to learn but she was up for the challenge. She would take it all on. Nodding her head as she paid attention to Minx as she was about to break everything down. Canting her head as she spoke of the rules and about not attacking anyone that entered, especially humans. She was fine up until the humans part. "Sounds fine but why do you allow humans in? Professor X kept me pretty shielded from others until I was turned except the one party he took me too. Are they a risk to the masquerade?"

She took in the look on Minx's face but Lennox was learning and whether Minx like it or not...she would have to accept that there would be questions or how in the hell would Lennox learn. Being one for protecting their existence, she wouldn't just accept anything that would put them in danger but in Minx's home...she would accept that she's not to attack them but she would ask question.

Dominique:The woman was loyal. That she could appreciate that. Dominique had her own understanding with Doc. It was very clear and there were no questions. It didn’t mean that she was ready to open up like some flower and reveal all that was inside to someone she now was linked to. Dominique's eyes glanced again at the woman. Her gaze slid from her neck to her arms. She was close to Doc. He was likely kind to her starting out. It didn’t bother her. She blew up his house and was a pain in the ***. He was no angel and yadda yadda. She knew the deal and it was what it was. Now she was eyeing his latest creation and could see his work. She was cute. Probably thought he rocked the world and stroked his ego. She sighed. Why did she allow humans in?

“Doc treats humans in that set up he has on the other side of town. Humans are everywhere. Just because I fucked up and got my *** handed to me doesn’t change the fact I had people I love and care about around me that still have a pulse. Only time I have been attacked has actually been by a cold hand. **** me over, I **** you over. I trust those who have earned it. It is the world we live in. Human and otherwise. Can live in a bubble or get the **** over it and move forward. I can’t do more than be true to who I am. Just like you have to do before you rest when the sun comes up. It is up to you what you make of it and whether or not you can see yourself through another night. Doc knows I am not going to brainwash you with the politics or do any more than keep an eye out for you or he wouldn’t have sent you here.”

Lennox Tyler: She couldn’t help but notice that Minx was studying her. It was almost as if she was on display for all criticism or praise but with being the youngest but also probably the oldest...it put her in an awkward position as she was sure that Minx wouldn’t be the only one to size her up and judge but she didn’t care. Let anyone throw what they want at her. She would take it and run. It was who she was. She wasn’t raised to be weak. Her family was rich yes but not weak.

“I understand all too well the practices that he has in the labs. I was one of his patients and now I work there.” Perking her brow at her comments, she shook her head. “Dude...seriously. It was just a question. Doc had me write a letter to my parents before I died and was ‘cremated’ so that they wouldn’t come looking for me. I had to cut off all communication so forgive me for being curious. I’m trying to learn…” She didn’t feel bad for being defensive but with Minx going off about getting her *** handed to her and not letting go of those she cared for made her feel that she was defensive initially. “I won’t break the rules of your home...it was just an honest question, mainly for safety reasons.”

Dominique:“I thought it was all black and white.” She felt the tug of those invisible ties around that muscle in her chest that was supposed be the center of where that little thing called love radiated from. The tug was getting tighter the more she thought about it. He was still there. He would always be there. Why was she feeling comfortable saying what was about to come out of her mouth she was not quite sure but it was the truth. “I was wrong. I learned a few things the hard way.” She paused after making the understatement of the decade. “You will too. We are basically borne into it. There is no manual being passed out to set you on this adventure. You will say things, do things and feel it is right deep in your bones. Then in the blink of an eye you will find yourself trying to choke down what you changed your mind on because your world as you know it was suddenly knocked off its axis. Nothing is concrete, clear or cut and dry. Not even human life or our presence. Each are vulnerable. Just because you don’t have to worry about not growing old doesn’t mean you can’t be weak, lose when you thought you would win or even die...again. I spent the better part of the end of last year doing all of the above. It was a huge reality check. Best advice I can give at this moment because I have been winging it.”

Lennox Tyler: She was taken back when her words seemed to affect Minx. It was as if she could see the wheels in her mind turning as she spoke and her features changed. Watching the woman that was her sister change and listened to the verbal process, she realized that even those that were a little more seasoned than herself were still learning as well. “We are human...well born human and with that comes mistakes. No one is perfect and we all learn by trial and error. It’s life and life’s not easy. If it was then it would be boring as hell. I don’t like boring.” She shook her head and smiled at the woman. “Don’t regret things of your past because one...we can’t change them and two...we wouldn’t be who we are today.” As Minx continued, she couldn’t help but laugh a bit. “You’re a lot like Professor X. Makes sense that you are one of his. Thank you for the advice...honestly, I will take any help that I can get.”

Dominique:That she couldn’t deny. She felt the confirmation itching the inside of her skin as if somewhere hidden from view to observing eyes Doc himself was nudging her into a verbal agreement with his latest claim. Dominique was stubborn. Her cursed degree of ‘other world proportions’ of pride sure as hell didn’t help her either. Her lips twitched slightly as she fixed on this female entering her world for better or worse. Yes, better or worse because that had yet to be decided. However, one thing was certain...she was linked to her just as she was Kenlie and Doc and Cat and Nik and a everyone else in the blood train. It was flowing and it was strong no matter how much she debated it in the past. Not only was it strong it was growing right in front of her eyes. Her shoulders gently lifted and rolled part way back as her open hands patted the top of one ink covered thigh and the bare one next to it. She stood up to reach the three inches over five feet that she was said to be while barefoot. It seems that they would be seeing a lot of each other and had more in common than that itch Doc left behind.

“Welcome home. You can consider it that. It isn’t the ritz but it is yours to come and go to as you please. Need anything at all just ask and I will do my best to see what I can do to help you out. For now I can show you around and point out the places of interest. It may make things easier for you to get around if needed in a hurry or to replenish yourself if weak and of course places to build if you are into that. Ready to take a look around?”

Lennox Tyler: A feeling of closeness was developing for this woman. It wasn’t strong nor was it absolutely instant but she saw a lot of their sire in her and even a little bit of herself in her. It was crazy and Doc clearly knew how to pick them but in all honesty...that would be a benefit in the end. To be close meant that they would protect each other when it was needed. Hell maybe they would know that the others needed help before it was asked or required but she wasn’t entirely sure how all of that worked just yet. Lennox still struggled that some of her super powers were missing and she didn’t know why.

Nodding lightly to Minx, she smiled. “Thank you and I don’t need the Ritz. Even with being able to afford a room there...it’s really not worth it. People that get fancy rooms are just trying to show how much money they own. It’s ridiculous. I’m not that kind of girly. Get a room at the Hilton and watch a movie while reading a comic book and call it good. That’s me. Do I need a key for the apartment?” She was pretty sure that Minx didn’t just leave the apartment unlocked but if she had random guest, who knew. Nodding her head, she smiled. “I would love for you to show me around. I just know the sewers, Zombieland, and the Catacombs with the old crusties. I have been trying to figure out most because I know Professor X is a busy man. I do need to ask him why some of my superpowers are missing...but yeah, I am ready to take a look around.”

Dominique:While Lennox was explaining she didn’t expect anything lavish in accommodations she took in the information and also got the impression that she was from some money. Far more than she had been used to until she discovered her skill at getting into cars that were not hers. So money didn’t buy all the happiness in the world. The dark and spacious apartment she guided the woman through was proof. It was nice and had its perks but it was nothing she couldn’t live without. If anything it was a testament to her level of free time on her hands.

“The music controls are at the front as you enter. Yes, it seems to all have a theme. New York.” She looked over her shoulder and turned to step backwards while she asked. “Ever been there?”

Her body turned back around to keep leading the way down the hall to the master bedroom. It was containing that one slice of perfection she considered a refuge under the cloud of the white silk cloud of down. There was the perfect shoes, the perfect jeans, the perfect gloves. When she found the bed that now caught her eye she understood why so many became hooked on an item of indulgence. For her it was that bed. She could sleep for hours and never want to rise when she was immersed in the layers it provided.

“My room. My bed.” She turned back around and left behind the temptation to slip in and disappear in the king size portion of silk.

Dominique continued back down the hallway in the direction that they had just came from. The main living room was already viewed and she nodded towards the bar and smiled. “Feel free to help yourself if you drink.” She continued on down the steps that took them into the room that was inspired by one of her favorite places to hang out. “A bit of Central Park in the reflection pool. Nothing wrong with relaxing so feel free to do that if you wish.”

Dominique made the tour progress quickly pointing out the crafting bench in the weapons room, the access to banking and shopping as well as the sauna. She patted the bed next to it that was rather low to the ground and basically a futon on carved wood.

“If you are okay with it this is yours for now. Find it isn't your cup of tea then will change things around. The animals will generally stay out of your way.” She looked at the bed then gave it thought. “If you entertain the rules apply to them as well. They stay with you and leave with you.”

Dominique figured Lennox was able to figure out her way around rather easily.

“It is dark and the curtains and windows are protected. If I missed anything you may want to know now is the time to bring it up.” She placed her hands on the curves of her own hips and locked her fingers to hold them in place.

Lennox Tyler: The apartment simple yet creative. People didn't need much in their homes to make it look nice and Minx's home look perfect. Looking around as they moved through the home, taking the appropriate notes to the various rooms and places of importance. It was a well laid out home. Looking into Minx's room, she smiled. The bed seemed to take up a great deal of space but it was beautiful. Lennox couldn't blame her for it. "Got it. Stay out and off." Lennox laughed a little bit before looking back at Minx.

Following after her when she started down the hall once again. The place seemed much larger than a normal apartment. It was really nice and the whole place really did resemble New York. It then hit her that she didn't answer her question. "Yes, I have been there many times. My parents and I would vacation and have holidays in The Hamptons and we would drive into the city to catch a show. I think this place looks great. Who did you get to decorate it?"

Stepping into the room that to be hers. Her eyes looked around and took in every bit of it as she was sure that she would spend quite a bit of time in there until she made friends....which wasn't entirely successful on so far since she moved to Harper Rock for the election. Nodding her head as Minx explained rules for her possible future guests. "Makes sense so no worries there."

Dominique: She nodded and looked around where they stood. “I did it. It was a project that kind of exploded. Decided at the beginning of the year I needed to keep busy or go insane. I think in the end I did both.” She shrugged her petite shoulders then sat back down on the sofa where she was before. “I am not home routinely. I come and go a lot. If I am not here chances are I am at the shop. You can reach Doc if something comes up. Otherwise I think you are set.” She realized she needed to add one more thing. “No blood or mess.” Dominique didn’t feel the need to elaborate on her practice of blood boosting and not drawing from humans to sustain herself. She smiled. Hopefully the lack of fangs would be enough of a hint.

Lennox Tyler: “Wow! You did an amazing job. You should do this as a profession because this is really awesome!” She continued to look around and smirked. Minx really had a talent and shouldn’t hidden away from the world. That would where she would say **** being a vampire because art was amazing but good thing most parties for shows were at night. It would be easy to hide being a vampire. “Shop? What do you do? Doc will be easy to track down since I work at the lab but yes...no blood or mess. That will be very easy to comply with.” Lennox barely noticed that she didn’t have fangs but she thought it was different for everyone. “There is never mess with me because I’m a tidy person as for blood...you said no attacking and I drink for those packs at the shady stores.”

Dominique:“Twisted Sister Custom & Design in Honeymead Market. I am a mechanic as well as customizing bikes and cars that the Tupperware sales rep wouldn’t get caught dead driving. The second floor is tattoos and anything else you want fixed into your skin. Check it out and want any work done just let whoever is handling the chairs that night know I said it was covered."

“I am no interior decorator. I just put what I wanted inside. Guessing what appeals to someone else as far as living space isn’t my thing. Guns and traps are.” The woman had enough on her new serving of immortality to deal with. “So, you are good then?” She pressed her lips together and rubbed them gently. She had business to get to and work to do in the shop.
