Doc: : It had been a few stressful days. First Mortll and her spawn murdering ******* humans in the park for all and sundry to see. Then there was Kenlie’s wedding. He hated weddings! And there he was, at yet another wedding. He sighed. At least the wedding was now over. He had no idea how things were going to go for Kendall. Mortll was being a ******* mother hen. He needed to go somewhere to just ******* chill. Normally the motorcycle bar would not be his go to suggestion to himself, but that’s where his spawns were. He needed… no. He wanted to check in on them. He pushed through the door into the bar, to be met with a haze of cigarette smoke. At which point he immediately withdrew his pack and lit one up. That was one of the perks of being a Vampire, he could smoke to his hearts content. Granted it didn’t taste the same. Or even taste at all. But it was the action that he found strangely comforting. Taking a long almost soothing drag off the cigarette, he made his way to the bar.
Leona: : The last few weeks of Leona's life had been quiet and for the first time since she'd arrived in Harper Rock she was glad for it to be that way. Now that she had so much free time Leona knew just how she wanted to spend it, with her two best friends. She made her way to The Handle Bar, where she knew Kenlie worked frequented with Dominique. As she stepped in through the doors Leona lifted a hand and waved the smoke away from her face , then made her way over to the bar. Kenlie was nowhere to be seen, but Leona decided to take a seat and wait. Maybe her friends would show up.
Doc: : Taking another pull from his cigarette, he waved to the bartender, who wasn’t Catherine. Normally his spawn Catherine was tending bar, but not tonight. In fact, he didn’t see Ken or Vicky in attendance. Well ****. The one time he actually -wanted- to see his spawn they weren’t around. He grimaced to himself, though the expression was readily seen by anyone who looked at him, now what the **** was he going to do? He knew he could go to the lab to work, but he did deserve down time. He glanced briefly to the left of him at the other patrons that were clustered at the bar. He did a double take. Cytherea. His ******* unfaithful wife was at the ******* bar.
Leona: : Leona was just sitting minding her own business, waiting for Kenlie or Dom to show up and save her from this horrible atmosphere. She noticed Doc's gaze out of the corner of her eyes, her features taking on an expression of distaste. She knew what kind of creatures came into this bar. Was he one? Did he think she was an easy snack? Or was he just some guy in a bar checking her out. It bothered her either way but she did her best to ignore it. Hurry up, Kenlie!
Doc: : He saw that she had seen him, and he saw that look of disgust on her face before another patron blocked his view. **** her! Who does she think she is? Cavorting all over town with his ‘brother’ and then she thinks she can go hang out with his spawns? HIS spawns? Oh **** no! He was about to let her get her paws on his spawns. His hand slipped inside suit jacket, his thumb flicked the snap loose on his shoulder holster. His handgun was now free to be drawn, but not yet. His eyes narrowed as slid off the barstool and stepped backward a few feet. “Cytherea…” He called out in an easy manner. He didn’t wait for her to respond. He squeezed the trigger with amusement as her shot her in the back.
Leona: : Leona heard someone call out a name and turned to see what was happening, only to catch a bullet square in the back. The force blew Leona forwards against the bar as she let out a loud scream of pain, the excruciating feeling flaring through her system and blinding her vision for a moment. The only thing that saved Leona was her physical durability as a Paladin, a normal human would have most likely died. The pain was replaced with fury as Leona spun around on her stool and pulled a bowie knife from its sheath under her coat. She launched herself at the attacker, driving the knife towards the largest target she could see, his chest. She was going to gut this asshole or die trying!
Doc: : Doc smirked coldly at the bullet slammed her forward, the scream pain made the cold smirk become a grin. As she whirled, he expected a retaliatory strike, it was what the two of them did. They tried to eviscerate each other. However the cold grin died a quick death as he was it wasn’t Cytherea after all. The smell of human blood hit his nostrils. ****! He had just shot a ******* human. A ******* human that was launching themselves at him, blade drawn. She was angry. Alright.. his bad. He shot the wrong woman. He could be forgiven for that.. except. Except, she moved faster than a normal human would. Especially a normal human with a bullet in it’s back. He also knew this because her blade was able to sink part way into his chest before he was able to block her. She had to be a ******* paladin. He stepped back with one foot to brace himself, and then he shoved her forward, off of from him, far enough to bring his gun up and squeeze off another round, this time into her abdomen unless she got wise and moved.
Leona: : Leona staggered backwards when she was shoved, tearing the knife out of her opponents chest. She tried to move aside when the second shot was fired but wasn't able to move quick enough, the bullet catching her in the side. The force of the shot caused her to turn and Leona used the momentum to whirl around and slash at whatever part of Doc she could reach with her knife. Leona's gaze settled on Doc, her rage visible in their vibrant green depths. Her chest heave and she let out a ragged breath, blood pouring from the two bullet wounds Doc had left.
