Accidents will happen (vadablade)
It had been a long day working at the forge at Pi and Elliot’s house. She stood at the forge hammering a blade on a sword. “**** it all!” She wore a pair of old jeans, a tank top, work boots; her flannel shirt was now sitting on the shelf. It was hot, hotter than blazes and the leather blacksmith apron only made it worse. Her hair was tied up in a pony-tail with sweat soaked tendrils curling around her face as she wiped the sweat from her brow yet again realizing she had messed the blade up once more. Looking down she watched a drop of sweat slide down her chest until is disappeared under her top and threw another ruined sword on the floor next to the rest. “Damn it all to hell” she yelled to the empty room kicking at the pile.
“Ok, you got this Klara, you can do this!”
She chided herself as she began the process once again. The blade went back into the fire, the metal turning red hot as it laid over the coals in the flames. Her face was smudged with soot but she did not care what she looked like. Her thoughts began to wander again, she still missed Simon at times and this was one of those times. He always had had a calming influence over her, well until the end and she missed that…a lot.
Pulling the blade from the fire, she swung the hammer with a vengeance trying to beat out the loneliness she was feeling. She began to smile as finally the metal began to bend to her will. The blade cooled enough to need to go back into the flames, the process being repeated over and over until what she hoped was the final time. The blade was glowing red when she heard someone enter the Depot. She paid the person no mind as she was busy with her task.

Re: Accidents will happen (vadablade)
His eyes settled on the tome he had been given, it was a nice book really, he loved the way the binding was made. He could see Pi had put a lot of attention and care into the book. He read the book away from any onlookers and felt the tome taking a hold of him.
He vanished from the derelict dwelling and appeared in the stronghold. His body adjusting as he waved to the elevator, granted it was odd but why not? He walked around until he found the path to depot and emerged in there. He watched as people moved around, everyone seemed so busy and he wasn't known that well. The sound of a hammer hitting metal rang out through the air. He made his way around the house as he skipped around a portal and then leaned on the wall as he watched the woman work.
His eyes watching as she swung the hammer onto the metal, sparks filled the air as he smiled. She was beautiful and knew how to use her hands to make works of beauty. He pulled his sword out as he looked at it, the way the light gleamed off of the finely polished blade. He could tell a lot of work went into it, it just screamed the talent that was needed to craft it.
He put his sword away as he watched the woman working once more, she was rather stunning to watch. She was an artist, just completing work to her, but a master piece to anyone watching. He moved closer as he pretended to go about work and bought a few items, mostly bullets for the gun he was given.
His hand pulled the gun out as he saw the invention for the second time that night, having been given it a few moments before. He put the clip in it as he twirled it around and then played with it, trying it out. He blinked as the recoil of the seemed to hit him and then blinked as he noticed the gun had fired.
He blinked a few times before he just dropped the gun onto the ground and looked around blinking rapidly.

Re: Accidents will happen (vadablade)
The sword glowed red as she laid it across the anvil giving it the last few hits to get the metal to the desired thickness. Klara noticed the man walk into the forge room and nodded going back to her work, her mind making a mental note that he was cute and that was the lost thought she gave him until she was knocked off her feet and thrown several feet backwards hitting the floor, a sudden pain making her feel as if her insides were on fire.
Doubling over in pain, a half growl half scream came from her lips as she pulled her hand back now covered in blood and a big hole the apron. She pulled the apron off and looked at her stomach groaning in pain, “What the ****?” She looked up, seeing the gun on the floor and the man standing there with a shocked look on his face.
She launched herself off the floor and slammed him against the wall. Her words were short and clipped and she was ready to kill him with her bare hands.
“You. *******. Shot. Me.”
Klara pushed him hard again before she stepped back concentrating, her hands over her stomach and summoned her ability to heal herself of wounds. She stood still, her eyes closed as the wound began to heal. The blood vessels and organs began to close and repair working outwards until the skin closed over until finally there was no sign of a wound having been there. She looked at the man, hands on her hips she stared at him for several moments appraising him and realized he was one of Pi’s family and he was new.
“The only reason I am not going to kill you *********** is that you’re a child of Pi’s and you’re new. Now start talking and tell me what the hell you were thinking?”

His eyes watched her as she took the bullet, he felt so ashamed, he was just given the weapon and he already had a misfire. He really needed to remember the gun would fire with just a simple touch. He looked at the wound he had created and opened his mouth as he went to apologise and see if he could help.
He felt the wall smacking into his head as she slammed him against the wall. He slowly tried to speak again as he felt the pressure against him and looked at her. Clearly he had done wrong, but why wasn't she letting him speak? He listened to her as he simply nodded, he wasn't going to argue, it hadn't worked in the past so he just waited.
He waited a few moments and the spoke softly. " Sorry, I was just given the gun and it seems to have a hair pin trigger. " He looked at her and smiled as he looked into her eyes. "You are stunning to look at though, and I am Vadablade Gyre, Pi's newest. I truly am sorry, I didn't mean to hit you."

Klara stared at him waiting for him speak, trying to get control of her anger. Rarely did she get angry but when she did, it was not pleasant. She stood there taking cleansing breaths to calm down when he spoke.
“Sorry, I was just given the gun and it seems to have a hair pin trigger…You are stunning to look at though, and I am Vadablade Gyre, Pi's newest. I truly am sorry; I didn't mean to hit you."
Blinking in surprise, she stood there for several long moments before turning to grab her apron. She slid it over her head and tied it once more behind her, the small hole was still small enough she felt she could use it. Finally returning to him, she looked him in the eye for a long time.
“Seems to me you should learn a bit more about your weapon before you carry it around loaded in public and as to your other comments, well...”
She looked down embarrassed at his compliment but he seemed like he really did feel bad and she knew Pi was a caring sire that did not just abandon her children to fend for themselves. She warred with her feelings between wanting to kill him and wanting to give him a chance and decided that being nice would not kill her. She walked over to the forge shutting everything down and began to clean up as they chatted, “So you’re Pi’s newest childre. You’ve got a great sire there, congrats. I hope you’re not one of those that will bemoan their turning forever?” Klara raised an eyebrow in question hating those that refused to adapt and accept what they were.
Extending her hand after making sure he was unarmed, she finished, “I’m Klara, nice to meet you but wound me again I’ll kill you.”
Looking around the shop she made sure everything was back the way she found it. She hung up her apron and approached him. “I was headed to Lancaster’s for a drink before I head home, wanna come along?

Re: Accidents will happen (vadablade)
He watched her curiously, she was a strange woman, not only healed from a bullet but also calm. His eyes followed her as she moved and took the chance to put the gun away. He was just glad it was a semi automatic and not a full automatic. He brushed the dust from him as he wondered if his black shirt was still black.
He looked at her as she spoke and then looked around carefully trying to see if there were any of the people she spoke of. He loved being turned, it allowed his swordsmanship to improve greatly. Alas he was never one to use a gun, so he was still new to that concept. He pulled his cloak over his shoulder holster as the gleam of silver from his blade hung on his hip. He had a twisted dagger on the other side as he moved close to Klara.
"I love being turned, Pi did me a huge favour. I could never thank her for it. If I picked every single flower in the world, it could never show how much I love her for turning me." He spoke the truth as he looked at the firey coals in the forge, his mind remembering the girl. He shook his head as he chased her ghost from his mind and looked at Klara.
He took her hand and kissed it as he pulled her along, granted he went the wrong way but he kept looking at her, and nearly walked into a wall. "So how does someone as beautiful as you end up at a forge and not out chasing men away with a stick?"

Re: Accidents will happen (vadablade)
Klara stood there her mouth opening and quickly shutting trying to pull her composure together quickly as she watched him kiss her hand. Saying she surprised at the gesture was an understatement. This man had sparked her interest. She had never met anyone that was actually grateful for being turned. She was tired of spending her evenings alone and Pi was a friend and had been good to her, the least she could do was give this man another chance and just not write him off as useless.
She made no move to pull her hand from his; mostly she was lost in thought until she saw him almost walk into a wall and could not help but laugh. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to laugh but there is a portal we can use to get there this way.” She pointed in the direction. “Watch out for the walls around here, they jump out at you like that sometimes.”
Klara was beginning to relax as she realized he really had meant her no harm. As they emerged into Lancaster’s she led him to her favorite booth, sat down and looked at him quietly for several moments. He intrigued her. Her sweat had finally dried; her clothes were a mess though the flannel shirt hid the blood thankfully. She could not look much worse and he had called her beautiful.
As they sat across from one another, her hands folded in front of her on the table she realized he had not stopped looking at her since they met. It was not one of those looks like she had something grotesque on her face but a look of a man who was thirsty and just had found water out in the desert. She found herself blushing at his gaze before she finally answered his question.
“Why am I at a forge and not beating men off with sticks. Easy, not many men chasing, they like the flashier women or the ones you can bed easily better. You see after my marriage fell apart, my now-ex-mother-in-law who is one of my dearest friends in the world gave me some great advice. She told me I didn’t need a man to define who I was. I had always defined myself as Simon’s wife and kind of lost who I was in the process trying to please him and be the wife I thought he wanted. But she was right, I needed to get some new interests and learn some new things. When I started coming to Pi’s and the forge I challenged myself to learn something new and I found out I like working with my hands and I hope to get good enough one day to be able to open my own store of custom made swords.”
She looked up at him and gave him an embarrassed smile. She was not the typical woman in this city and oddly, she felt like it did not matter with this man, that he was ok with whatever she was.
“So how about you, why are you so happy to be turned?”

Re: Accidents will happen (vadablade)
He smiled as he heard her laughter, he just loved it. "That is a sound I could get used to hearing it everyday." He loved the way she moved, each step showing her inner strength and yet how delicate she really was. He watched the place change as he stepped through the portal.
He looked at her from across the table then moved around and sat beside her. His arm snaking around her waist as he pulled her against him and kissed her cheek. "Want a drink?" He looked around the bar and laughed as he realised the bar was owned by someone in his family.
He kissed her cheek again as he looked at the other patrons in the bar, each one seeming to be occupied in their own conversations. He looked at her again and whispered into her ear, careful not to let anyone else hear at all.
"When Pi turned me I was so close to death it wasn't funny. Did you know she actually asked me why she should when I was already close to death. When I felt the searing pain I knew I was given a second chance. I need to finish my task given to me. I grew up alone, in conditions others only have nightmares off. I came across a little girl and vowed to avenge her death. I have 3 more names to cross off. "
He spoke calmly and all matter of factly, no emotion crept into his words. He looked around as he noticed a girl walking with a bottle of water and smirked widely. He used his new found speed to grab the bottle and return before she even noticed.

Re: Accidents will happen (vadablade)
Klara was surprised when he came to sit beside her and even more surprised when his arm went around her. Her instincts told her to slide her dagger into his side and kick him in the face but the woman in her liked his closeness. Oddly somehow it felt right to her to be next to this man, to have his arm around her.
She stiffened ever so slightly as he kissed her cheek. Klara looked at him, her expression blank except for the blush that stained her cheeks wondering why he had done that and wondering even more why it was affecting her the way it was. As he leaned over to whisper into her ear, her eyes went wide, her blush deepening before she started to laugh while smiling at him. She had started to raise her hand to caress his face and stopped herself. He was so easy to be around and it was throwing her. No one except for Simon had been this easy to feel comfortable around and look where that had gotten her she mused. “You are terrible you know that!” she teased him, her eyes twinkling as she looked into his own.
Looking over to him as he answered her question, she realized she wanted to hear the whole story, to learn everything about him, most especially why he was treating her the way he was. The bar was getting more crowded as she looked around and she wanted to continue the conversation but it was getting too crowded for a talk like this.
Softly she replied to him, “I want to hear more about this if you’re willing to talk about it” knowing that cases like this could be very sensitive and some did not like to talk about it. “But I don’t think this is the place for it. I don’t live all that far from here, would you like to go back to my place and hang out for a while and talk? I promise to try and not kill you” she teased him.

He watched her as he thought on her words, this place was crowded and talking was hard. He nodded as he took her hand and slowly walked them outside. The air was crisp as a chill on the wind blew against them.
He kissed her hand as he took his cloak off and draped it over her to warm her as they walked down the street. "I enjoy walling, it would be fun to see the city with a stunningly beautiful woman like you."
His eyes scanned the area as he slowly walked them towards a darkened street and towards a mall as he laced his fingers with hers. He held her hand as he swung it slowly as they walked.
