The L Word (Invite)

-The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

< Prudence >

The tall redhead was stupefied at what happened the other night. She wasn’t sure what to make of it. It was probably some reaction from an excitable Lori, but still. It happened. After telling Lori they would talk about it, Prudence went to go kill some more **** and to think how she was going to broach this. It wasn’t something she ever had to broach before. Not really. On a few accounts. Sure, she had kissed back Miranda, who was pretend Mordie, but that was for the good of the mission. So kissing a girl? Not something she did, which was why she hadn’t kissed Lori back. Because it seemed wrong on a few levels. Her family was her family. There seemed to be a line you didn’t dare cross in Prudence’s mind when it came to that. Just to make sure nothing got fucked up. And count in the fact that Prudence wasn’t really looking for anything. She got involved with Brody real quick and real stupid like. Not long after that was Cliff and that took years to get some common sense and walk away from. She wasn’t willing to contribute years to anyone’s life again just to watch it all end the same way it always does. Immortality sucked sometimes. Could people stay together forever? When forever was longer than the initial forever? It seemed doubtful.

Killing things didn’t really buy her the time and focus she needed. Not with Lori in her head claiming she loved Prudence. She loved her, but wanted to hate her. What the **** for? Prudence had given her the best ******* gift ever. She should love her! After a while, Prudence didn’t know what the **** to do or what to say any more than she did hours ago. She sighed, grabbed her cell phone and shot a text to Mordie. ‘Yo. Ya busy? I got something I need to talk to ya about. Meet me at the saloon?’

<Mordechai> Mordechai Stood on the sidewalk looking at the shop window. He knew he should go inside. Some perky brainless female would surely bounce up to him, stare a moment, then ask if she could help him. Why women loved flowers he would never know, but he was sure if he picked the proper bunch, his kennedy would smile for him. He liked her smiles. The killer reached for the door knob, and had started to turn it when he was saved by the bell. Well the buzzer, vibration if you wanted to get technical. A glance at the screen of his phone had him jogging towards coastside. Finally clear of human audience, he dropped pretense and lit the afterburners. A few moments later, seconds actually, and he was entering the Saloon, nodding to JJ on the way in. “Boss in back, on the floor, or in the office?”

<Prudence> Prudence hadn’t waited for his reply. He would come. If not sooner, than later. She had headed to her office when she got in, still thinking about Lori and all the crazy **** she said and did recently. Maybe she should have stayed clear of her more. Like the others. But then again, Lori wasn’t exactly all there at the moment. Was she ever gonna get right in the head? Still, she would take five Lori’s over one CC at the moment. ***** needed a boot up her *** again. For all eternity, probably. When Prudence got in the office, she went to her chair, opened up her emails and started going through them, paying bills to vendors and such. While she waited, JJ was in charge, like he usually was most nights. When he saw Mordie he gave the guy a single nod, then pointed to the office.

<Mordechai> JJ had just shrugged, so Mordechai headed down the entrance hall, he would find her. A quick glance around the floor didn't show any tall, fit, redheads punching males for fun, so he decided to start with the office as it was closest. Slipping through the outer door he headed to the office proper where he found Pru diligently beating on her keyboard. Remembering kennedy’s admonitions to work on his humor, Mordechai lowered his already gravely bass voice into a pitch perfect rendition of the Addams family’s butler. “You rang?”

<Prudence> She looked up when he talked and then pushed away from the computer. “This is your fault.” She nodded her head. “What happened. If I was me, like me, me then she wouldn’t be acting all weird.” Prudence crossed her arms and more or less slumped in the chair. “Lori kissed me. On the lips.”

<Mordechai> The killer nodded in agreement, “Yes of course, it is obviously my fault” Mordechai started to agree, then paused. “Lori? you mean Lorelai? the blonde that is always sniffing you?” The killer paused, “Wait, what do you mean you, you. I am not sure I understand the problem, females are always hugging and kissing other females. Is that not the norm?”

<Prudence> “Yeah, it’s yer fault. If I was like how I was with CC and Jessica and the others than she wouldn’t have kissed me. I doubt she would even give me a hug. But ya know, ya said I had to be her family and **** and so now she’s all confused and ****. Kissing on me and stuff. And I don’t know. I never see girls making out like that.” She snorted and rolled her eyes. “I said we would talk later, but I dunno how to talk to her about that ****. She’s obviously confused. That’s why I called ya.”

<Mordechai>Mordechai listen closely as Pru rambled, it wasn't good to miss a word when dealing with females. “ I am not sure that I would want to repeat the way you sired CC, if that is what gave her the attitude she lives with now. How many people do you want running the streets taking random swings at you. I have not seen Jessica in months, so I do not know how she fairs.” He paused to consider her statement. “Wait.. She made out with you? or she kissed you? In general I believe it takes two, to make out…” Deciding to wait on the answer to that before going farther he thought on the way Pru had reacted to the kiss from ‘Miranda’ and wondered if it was Lorelai that was confused, or….

<Prudence> Prudence listened then rolled her eyes. “We didn’t make out. She kissed me because she was excited or whatever and then I left cause it was weird. Then she’s in my head talking about hating me and loving me. I think she’s broken.” She shrugged her shoulders. “I’m trying out how to fix her. Ya seem to have better luck with communicating with people like her. With emotions running high and stuff. Ya do good with Kennedy.” Prudence slumped forward in the chair, elbows on the desk and head in her hands as she stared at the male across from her.

<Mordechai>The killer considered her words, then spoke slowly. “If you wish, I will talk to her. If she was excited when she did it, it may be no more than she is excitable like my kennedy.” Mordechai looked into her eyes “Are you sure it is all her? It seems as though you are confused as well. Isnt that why you called me? Your confusion?”

<Prudence> “******* right I’m confused! I don’t know how to deal with this ****.” Prudence grumbled. “I don’t even know why she even thought to do that. I mean I know she’s into chicks and ****, but I’m pretty sure I’m not no matter what CC says. Plus she’s my mini and that’s kinda not an area I wanna go in to if ya know what I mean. So I need some help. That’s why I called ya.” She stared at him matter of factly.

<Mordechai> Mordechai shrugged, “you saved her, not birthed her. It is not incest. I do not know what CC has said to you, or about you” Mordie look around the room as he paused, “ I am not sure what you are asking from me. Yes it appears as though Lorelai has some sort of fixation on you. Sniffing is not standard issue behavior.” Pausing again he lit a Lucky. Taking a drag he continued as the smoke drifted from his nostrils, “Kennedy is excitable, she hugs everyone, kisses many. It means she is happy, maybe lorelai is happy.”

<Prudence> “Sniffing me? What the **** are ya on about? She never sniffed me.” Prudence snorted and rolled her eyes. Was that right? She never noticed Lori sniffing her before. “And yuh, well Kennedy is an Allurist. They’re supposed to be all emotional and ****. Lori’s supposed to be a nerd and brain raper. Not a hugger.” Prudence grumbled as she sighed. “I need help. I don’t know what to tell her. She’s kinda fragile.”

<Mordechai> “it is not a given nor proven, that a person changes that much when turned. You say she is a nerd and fragile. It has been my experience that as humans they are ones with low self esteem, and it is said that hugs give comfort. Humor her, see if it helps. It may just be something she needs out of her system, her way of thanking you for the turning. It is not as though a few hugs, nor kisses, will but you in the realm of spirits.”

<Prudence> Prudence pushed back in the chair and groaned. “How long do I gotta humor her for? I don’t really do the hugging thing. Or the kissing thing anymore either. ****, can’t even remember when I kissed someone besides, well for the mission.” Pru sunk down in the office chair and glared at Mordie, wondering if he was right. “Maybe hugging her was what made her kiss me. I don’t know. She’s nice and everything, but she’s kinda weird too. Not like weird, weird. Just different weird.” Prudence shrugged not really knowing how to explain it. “I guess she’s nice, and I’m afraid that if I tell her to back off ***** that she’ll go be a big mess of emo and I don’t really want that either. It does my head in.”

<Mordechai> “Accept it. Your kiss with ‘Miranda’ convinced the men, you have not forgotten the mechanics of one. Did she kiss your cheek, or your lips?” The killer was trying to analyze the situation, but having to drag each tidbit out one by one, made finding a solution hard. Without all of the data, it was almost impossible to come up with a hypothesis. “Look, instead of analyzing this piece by piece, tell me step by step what happened. Then I may be able to tender an educated solution.

<Prudence> She sat up and thought about how it went down. “Well, I was in her apartment. Just me and her. Levi wasn’t there this time. And she used her mental powers and helped me feel a little more in tune with **** I guess. Well after she did that, she got real excited and kissed me. ON THE LIPS.” Prudence pointed to her lips to emphasize that fact. “Then she jumped back and apologized and said she didn’t mean it. I said I would talk to her about it, but didn’t yet. Then she’s in my head saying she wants to hate me or something but she loves me. Which is really weird because I don’t think she does. I mean I’m nice to her and stuff, but she doesn’t really know me and I don’t really know her. I think something got jumbled in her head when I killed her.” The redhead nodded her head as she slouched down again.

<Mordechai> The killer turned the story over in his head. To be honest the play of events seemed as though Lorelai was excited at completing a ritual or something, and simply over reacted a little. The message tho was indicative of possibly something more, though in and of itself it was not exceedingly odd, as some seemed to become quite attached to their sires, possibly that was the case. “I think I may have the reasoning.. what was the part that upset you enough to call me.?” Whatever it was it had to have really bothered her cause she never called him unless she need his expertise in pest control.

<Prudence> Was Mordie even listening to her? Prudence wondered if she was speaking french or something. “The whole thing! Who goes around kissing people on the lips because they’re happy or something? And then she says she loves me. It’s weird, don’t ya think? Like why did she even kiss me to begin with? I’m not into girls.” Prudence shrugged her shoulders. “So if I tell her that, she’s gonna be all emo. That’s the problem. I don’t want her to be emo, but ya know--” Prudence looked at him, slightly deflated. “How do I tell her that without her being all mopey and ****? That I like her, but I don’t like her. Like that.”

<Mordechai> Mordechai raised an eyebrow as the titian haired killer before him denied being into girls, as the thought had crossed his mind more than once. “There is not much you can do then other than ask her to tell you exactly what she meant in the message. Then explain what you said to me. I do not know what you mean by ‘emo’ but if she truly views you as some sort of angel or something….she may become upset. You may just have to deal with the occasional hug and kiss. I have seen others that almost worship their sires. This is not the worst that could happen.

<Prudence> “Emo. Ya know. All crying and angry and stuff.” She rolled her shoulders and gave it some thought. “So maybe she didn’t really mean to kiss me like that way, is what you’re saying?” Prudence had just assumed that was how Lori meant it to be, but now after talking to Mordie, maybe she didn’t. Maybe she did just think really high of Prudence. Which was reasonable. Prudence did think she was pretty bad ***, so why wouldn’t one of her mini’s? “Whew. I kinda feel better already. Thanks Mordie.” She cracked a large smile in his direction.

<Mordechai>The killer shrugged “A kiss is not an invite to sex. Even on the lips, it may be how she was taught as a human, do you know anything of her past life? If you are going to keep her around, maybe you should look into that.” A low chuckle rumbled out of the big killer “I think I would rather deal with occasional kisses, then having limbs hacked all the time like your first failed experiment does to you.

<Prudence> “I know that.” Prudence rolled her eyes as if to say, ‘duh, Mordie.’ “And of course I’m gonna keep her around. What the **** does that even mean? She’s mine.” Prudence glared at him from her seat. “But I guess I can look into it.” Prudence nodded her head after a thoughtful moment. “Yuh, I can do that.” The redhead stood, moved around the desk and to him where she gave him a quick hug. “Thanks, Mordie. You’re like the bestest friend ever.” She got out her phone, opened her email and shot a message to Lori quick to meet up. “I’ll let ya know how it goes?” She looked over at him then.

<Mordechai> Mordechai raised an eyebrow at her actions. “You see? Even you hug when you are happy.” The killer nodded to her then headed towards the door. Pausing before he left, he considered the situation again, then glanced back. “Just make sure it is not you denying something you felt, when she kissed you.” Silently he slipped out the door.

<Prudence> “I didn’t kiss ya on the lips.” She said through a snort before sitting on her office desk. She heard what he said and made a face at him, even though he was long gone after he said what he had said. “Didn’t feel anything but weird. Weirdo.” She stuck her tongue out at the door before hopping off the desk after reading a reply and went to meet Lori to talk to her about this kissing business.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Prudence:
She sat on the couch as she waited for Lori to come to the apartment. The email seemed to indicate she was dropping whatever it was she was in the middle of and was coming right back. When Prudence saw signs of her blonde mini-vamp she put the phone away, sat up and then stood and gave her a quick hug. "Thanks for coming right away. Did I take ya away from anything super important?" She stepped away to look Lori over, looking for any possible wounds or anything out of the ordinary.

Lorelai:
Lorelai read the email from Pru and sighed. Of course she’d come home if her sire wanted to talk. She had little choice in the matter really. It was this or well… this… She really didn’t have an option. She might be able to delay the inevitable for a few minutes but then she would inevitably find her way home, even if she didn’t want to be there; such was the power that Prudence had over her. As it was she managed to put off the task just long enough to reply and finish up what she was doing. Then, taking out her tome, she returned home.
“Oh no. Not at all. Nothing is more important than you are Pru.
Fantastic. That sounded so good.
Who asked you?
No one. But you’re going to freak the woman out if you keep speaking to her like that.
But… I can’t help it.
I know. But she doesn’t know that.
You haven’t explained to her the effect she has on you.
You told me not too.
Oh… Yeah… that’s right. Good. Then don’t. She might use it against you. Us. Whatever.

Prudence:
Prudence scratched her cheek as she looked at her mini-vamp. "Well, yeah. There are other things that ya might have to do, which is alright, ya know." She nodded her head, then moved to sit back down on the couch. "So I kinda wanted to talk to ya about a couple things. Like how this is going overall. The whole vampire thing and if I could help ya out with anything. That sorta thing first." She gave Lori a reassuring smile as she pat the couch seat next to her.

Lorelai:
Lorelai tried to remain positive about this conversation and so smiled at Prudence as she crossed the room to sit next to her. Having indicated where she wanted Lorelai to sit, Lorelai didn’t exactly have much option. Free will was apparently not a luxury she was allowed in this lifetime, either a human or a vampire, as she’d always been under the control of another. She’d known but a few short months of true freedom and it was under her own power that she ended up where she was now. So really, she had no –one to blame but herself.
“Everything is much the same, really. Only Levi has been helping me feed by boosting my blood on an almost daily basis. I was still being sick when feeding you see and well in return I shield him. I try to keep him safe. Like I do with you. I worry about you both.”

Prudence:
Prudence snorted when she heard that. "I wouldn't worry about him too much. He can take care of himself." She nodded her head. "But that's cool he's helping ya." Why hadn't Prudence thought of that ****? "I'll thank him I guess." It wasn't on the top of her priorities, but she would do it. "Soooo, uhhh, ya know that thing that happened? With us? That was, well, really something." Prudence didn't know how else to phrase it as she thought about it. "I mean, if ya go around kissing everyone like that, ya might give people the wrong idea." She laughed a little, then shrugged her shoulders.

Lorelai:
Lorelai looked confused to hear of the way in which Prudence was speaking about Levi. She liked him. He was nice to her. Then the conversation swiftly moved on to the kiss she’d given her at which point Lorelai began chewing on her finger in the same awkward manner she always did when she was nervous. Her hand was curled into a fist and she chewed at the nail of her index finger. As a human she’d of had a lot more issue with this but as a vampire the nail seemed to regrow every night.
“I…”
Shhh… She hasn’t asked you anything so you don’t have to answer.
I don’t
No. Well I mean you do. You have to say something but just say something vague.
Like what?
I don’t know. What are you asking me for? I don’t have all the answers you know. Think for yourself. Just don’t be you.

Lorelai pouted from behind her protective fist.
“I’m sorry.”

Prudence:
"What for?" Prudence looked at her and gave another shrug. "I just want ya to be careful is all." The redhead nodded her head before she dug herself in the couch more. "I mean you're adult and all but you're my mini. Just don't wanna see ya hurt is all." Well this was going the completely wrong way. "Do ya kiss Levi like that? When ya get excited?"

Lorelai:
Lorelai shook her head and refused to look at Prudence. This would have been the only reply she got on the subject if it wasn’t for her compulsion to comply.
Not good enough Lorelai. Answer the woman please.
But…
You don’t have a choice.

“No… I’m not allowed to even hug him.”
The reply was short, barely audible but it was a verbal reply and so her inner self was sated. For now.

Prudence:
Prudence laughed. "What the ****? Why not?" She slowly stopped laughing and gave Lori an inquisitive look. "Something happen?"

Lorelai:
“No.” She shook her head again, her blonde hair bouncing as she did so. “He’s just… I asked if I could and he said no. So… I try not to touch him.”

Prudence:
"Probably best for everyone all around." Prudence mumbled with another shrug. "Soooo, what got ya all excited the other night? Something good happen?" She smiled at Lori, encouraging her to share some of her life and thoughts with the redhead.

Lorelai:
Lorelai opened her mouth to reply and then quickly closed it, though she knew it wouldn’t be long until she had to give some kind of verbal response.
No!
What?
Just no. That answer is not acceptable.
What answer?
You were going to say you.
I was?
Mhm.

The inner monologue ran a little longer and then just as Lorelai was about to tell her that she wasn’t excited for any particular reason, her own lips betrayed her.
“You. I mean… I like seeing… I mean I was happy to…”
Lorelai sighed heavily and buried her face in her hands to hide her flaming cheeks.
Way to go.

Prudence:
"Oh." Prudence nodded her head. "Well, I like seeing ya too." She laughed at Lori's display of embarrassment, not because she was being mean, but because it wasn't something she had seen around vampires before. "Well, ya can be happy to see me. That's good actually. I'd rather ya be happy to see me than wanting to kill me every time we meet up." Prudence smiled at her mini. "Where ya from again? Is that how they greet people they are happy to see from where you're from?"

Lorelai:
She couldn’t see Pru smile at her because she was too busy wishing that the ground would open up and swallow her whole. Unfortunately for her, it didn’t.
Once more she shook her head, her face still covered with her hands, even as she replied.
“No. And I’m from Hoshkosh. A community a few hours outside of the city. I doubt you’ve heard of it.”
You’re too interesting to ever end up there.
Well thank god, you managed to keep that last part private.
*sighs*

Prudence:
"Nope. Never heard of it." Prudence admitted with another shrug. "So ya don't greet people like that?" Prudence scratched at her cheek, confused again. "Did ya mean to do it? I mean ya did it but then sorta freaked out. Why did ya freak out?"

Lorelai:
Lorelai groaned loudly and flopped forward so that her head was more or less between her knees and her hands moved to grab her ankles. This was not a conversation she wanted to be having now. Or ever.
You can’t get annoyed at her Lorelai. You did start this.
I didn’t mean to.
I know. But still.

“No. No. Or rather yes. Maybe. And because I shouldn’t have.”

Prudence:
"Well, I mean if that's how you thank people or whatever, I guess it's no big deal. But, just so ya know, I don't really do the girl on girl action. I mean, I don't think so." Prudence got up and walked around the main area of the apartment. "I mean I was engaged to some guy and then married to Cliff for a while. And supposedly I was in to someone who was a woman, but that's just all sorts of crazy and, well I guess never gonna happen." Prudence didn't know how she felt about that. "Whatever might have happened or could have happened there, I just don't remember. So ya see the problem."

Lorelai:
Lorelai was starting to see the merit of carrying a weapon, as the urge to shot herself in the head to avoid the rest of this conversation grew stronger and stronger. When Pru stopped talking and for the first time hadn’t asked her a question she’d be forced to reply to, she suddenly remember how much pain she was in and how she might be able to use that as an excuse to get away. Only her mind didn’t phrase in quite that fashion.
“Pru. I’m in a lot of pain… Do you mind if I go change my bandages before we continue this. Please?”

Prudence:
"Uhhh, what the ****?" Prudence looked over her mini-vamp, not sure why she never said anything about being hurt before they started talking. "Yuh, I guess so. What the **** happened?" Prudence frowned.

Lorelai: “The people in those offices are not very hospitable to people like us. I’m not sure what I ever did to them, but I guess that doesn’t matter. They shoot on sight and well, I’d imagine I’m an easy target.”
This answer at least was painless. She had no trouble portraying her weakness to others. As it was, when she slumped forward, she’d probably aggravated the multiple gunshot wounds she had there. The ones in her arm and leg didn’t seem to bother her so much. At least not when she was sitting down. As she stood, blood was visible across her abdomen, having soaked through the gauze and then her dress.

Prudence:
"You exist." Prudence said with a roll of her shoulders. It was the truth. "As a vampire. Not everyone plays nice with our kind. That's why we don't tell people what we are." Prudence groaned. "Jesus! Did ya walk in public at all like that?"

Lorelai:
“No,” she whimpered, as she looked down at her stomach and attempted to hide it.
Why won’t she leave me alone.
Because you don’t want her to? Not really?
I do. I do. I just want to crawl into bed and…
Die? Bit late for that Lorelai. Now play nice.

Lorelai moved towards her bathroom with a slight limp, though she moved slowly and did her best to hide it as she went.

Prudence:
"Good." Prudence said with a sound nod of her head. "I'll wait I guess." Lori seemed to indicate that she could take care of it herself, which settled Prudence down a little bit. "Take however long ya need. I'm not going anywhere really."

Lorelai:
Lorelai spent at least 20 minutes in the bathroom as she tended to each of her wounds again. She probably took a little longer than was necessary but then Pru had said she could take as long as she liked and she wasn’t really eager to get back to the conversation they’d been having. Though she was incredibly curious about some of the things Prudence had said, especially since she hinted that she might have been interested in a woman once. In some ways it would have been better for Lorelai if she hadn’t of known that.
Finally finished and having procrastinated as long as conscience would allow, she walked back into the front room. She wasn’t dressed in any clothing to go out though; she wore only a short, fluffy bathrobe that was fastened by a belt of the same material at her waist.

Prudence:
"I think ya should go out more. Not tonight. Or when you're hurt at all, but I think it would do ya some good. Meeting people." Prudence said after Lori came back, dressed in what looked like only her robe. "Well, anyways, anything else going on? How are ya, ya know, feeling?" Prudence thought Lori was a little emotionally and probably mentally unstable, so she wanted to make sure she wasn't going to do something stupid at herself or the vampire population. That was always her main and top concern. Keeping her mini's safe and alive.

Lorelai:
“Okay Pru. I’ll do that.”
Urgh. Now we have to go out. When we go out bad things happen. I’m safer here.
I know. We can cry about that later.
Okay.

“No. Nothing. I’m in a lot of pain. I have half a dozen or more bullet holes in me, most of which span down my right hand side.”
The question hadn’t been specific enough for Lorelai to realise that Prudence was talking about her mental state as well, which was probably a good thing as an open ended question like that could have started them back on the path to the conversation she was hoping to avoid.

Prudence:
Prudence just stared at Lori. She was really weird sometimes. She took everything Prudence said and didn't say no. Or argue, like CC. Lori must have thought Prudence made a lot of sense because she never argued with her. Was this what having a nice, decent mini-vamp was like? Woah. "Sorry." Prudence was used to pain and most her wounds were healable or shruggable to her. Being shot at was an every night thing. "Maybe ya should rest. I can come back another time. Now that we kinda got everything out in the open anyways. Really no need for me to drag out the obvious." Prudence smiled at her mini. "Next time let me deal with the getting shot bit. You just focus on the rituals and hacking stuff. I'll do the rest."

Lorelai:
“Okay Pru.”
Well I guess you got what you wanted.
Yes. I know.
Happy now?
No. Not really.
Didn’t think you would be.

“Be safe Pru.”
Without much more being left to say, she turned around and went straight to her bedroom. The woman had told her to rest, which meant this was what she’d have to do. The very moment she lay down on the bed though, she reached out and plucked a hold of one of the nearby networks.
What are you doing?
Emailing her.
Why?
Because I need to know.
And you couldn’t have just asked her while she was here?
No. I was too embarrassed.
I see.

From: Lorelai
Subject: Can I just ask.
Message:
Pru… I know you only just left but there was something I wanted to ask but I was too embarrassed to do so in person. You said that you don’t like women. By which I think you meant to say that you don’t like me. Nat least not in the way that I like you. But then you said that you had been with a woman. Is that true or did I misunderstand you?
Yours
Lorelai

Prudence:
Prudence had started to make her way back to her apartment in the flats when her phone buzzed once and quickly. She pulled the thing out of her back pocket, swiped it and opened the email. Prudence read the email over and then groaned. Did she say it like that? She couldn't remember. And it wasn't something she was gonna write in a ******* email! Prudence put the phone back, grabbed the piece of paper Lori put in her pocket a few months ago, read the words and tomed to the apartment. "I told ya to be rest-oh." Prudence noticed that Lori wasn't in the large living room, so she went down the hallway to the bedroom. "You're supposed to be resting." Prudence grumbled in the doorway as she hovered in it. "It's kinda a weird story." Prudence scratched at her cheek, not sure where to begin. "But
I don't think I like girls." She raised her shoulders up and then down in a shrug like manner. "Supposedly a few people said I was into someone named Bia. Who was a girl. But she died and I died and things change when people die. I kinda don't remember it. I think it's due to the shadow realm. I spent a couple months there after **** with Cliff kinda came to an end. To get right. It was ******* pitiful, really. I didn't want to be that girl." She rolled her eyes. "And I don't think ya like me, Lori. Do ya even really know anything about me to even like me?" She stared at the woman on the bed.

Lorelai:
Don’t get over excited.
I’m not.
Excuse me… I’m in here with you. You can’t lie to me.

Lorelai listened to the story and couldn’t help but get her hopes up. If Pru could fall for one woman she could fall for another and why not her? Though the moment she thought that her conscience woke up again.
If she were going to fall for you Lorelai she’d already feel something.
Not necessarily.
She’s told you point blank it’s never going to happen.
She did.
Mhm. What conversation were you listening too?
I… erm… *sighs*

“I can rest and be online Prudence. I don’t even need a laptop these days. I can just lay here and think and things happen. And erm…”
Lorelai pulled the covers over herself, effectively hiding herself from Pru’s eyes before she continues what she wanted to say, only she didn’t say it aloud, she spoke into Pru’s mind.
* “Don’t you believe in love at first sight?” *

Prudence:
"Resting usually means sleeping. But maybe I got the definition wrong or something?" Another roll of her shoulders before she squished her nose together. "Not really. I mean, I think ya can definitely tell if you're attracted to someone in about a minute or something. But love? Nope. I've loved a few people and they've all pretty much been a disappointment. I don't even think I believe in the concept anymore." She pushed off the door frame and came to the bed. Prudence claimed a corner of it, so she could look at Lori. "Do you believe in it?"

Lorelai:
“Oh yes. Of course I do.”
She mumbled from under the sheets.
“And you shouldn’t give up on love Pru. Just because you haven’t found it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. I haven’t found it either but I still believe.”
Her voice was soft and barely audible and her words were muffled by the duvet over her head but she had to reply. She didn’t have any choice in the matter. Not when Pru asked them anyway.

Prudence:
"Don't be a weirdo." Prudence grabbed at the duvet and pulled it down. "I mean that's cool for you if you still believe in it. And I haven't given up on it. I just don't really look for it. Besides, I got you and other people that keep me busy anyways. Too busy to really think about that anyways." She smiled a little. "I'm sure there's someone out there for everyone or a couple someone's, but it's just not for me at the moment. No point in rushing anyways. I mean we do live forever."

Lorelai:
Lorelai pouts slightly as the covers are taken away from her.
No!
What?
She does not want to get in bed with you.
I didn’t… *sighs* I really don’t like you sometimes.
Right back at you. Well go on then…
What?
Well you never listen to me, so you may as well let her shoot your offer down so we can get back to reality.

She’d listened to everything Pru said and despite what she told herself, she didn’t really believe that she stood no chance with Pru. There was always a chance, even if she had seen her staring at Azreath like she was starving and he was a giant tub of ice-cream.
“Would you lay with?” Lorelai asked, carefully moving over so that there would be enough room for Pru if she took her up on the offer. Lorelai was, if nothing else, even the optimist.

Prudence:
"Uuuuh." Prudence didn't really know what to say. "Are ya scared or something? Ya know I wouldn't let anyone hurt ya or let ya die or something right? Well, **** sometimes happens, but if that did happen, I would kick some ***. Those guys in that building don't even know where ya live or anything. I mean ya were careful coming back, right?" Prudence grabbed some of her red hair between her fingertips and then brushed it off her shoulders. "I don't really, like do the supportive sire thing. I'm trying." She admitted. "It's hard for me, but I'm trying. For you." She got on her knees and climbed over to Lori, giving her a hug. "I mean, I guess I could for a while if ya really want me to."

Lorelai:
Smiles and blushes slightly as Pru hugs her. The pain seemed almost non-existent but that was probably due to her mind being taken to a fantasy world even she could hope to make come true.
“I’m not scared Pru. I’m in pain. And thank you. For trying. I really do appreciate everything you’ve done for me. Even if I would rather have died the night you… The night I…”
Lorelai’s conscience groaned. Of all the things Lorelai could say, she had to say that. She should have told Prudence that she did really want her to lay down with her for a while. Bringing up the night she was turned had not been at all necessary.

Prudence:
Prudence pushed away and stared at Lori. "Ya would have rather died? Are ya kidding?" Prudence jumped up off the bed, crossed her arms and stared down at Lori. "I'm gonna just pretend you're like high or something or too wounded to think straight. Being a vampire isn't a bad thing. I've been a vampire for three years and I'm doing ok." She shook her head. "I don't sire a lot of people and after a few incidents, I pretty much decided not to anymore. Too much ******* drama. But I gave ya a shot at a second life." A hand went to her cheek again, a chord having been struck with Prudence. "Don't say or even think that stupid **** again."

Lorelai:
Well that put an end to that.
*sighs*

“Please stop giving me orders Pru. I need to be able to think for myself. I never wanted to be a vampire. I wanted to be human. A sorcerer. I wanted to be a part of nature. We are not of nature. We are outside of it.”
Lorelai tried to explain how she felt without actually explaining how she’d rather have died. She missed the fact that Pru had changed her mind for her, when that piece of information could have only helped to fan the flame Pru seemed to be trying to dowse.

Prudence:
"I'm not ordering ya around. I just don't want to hear that ****. Ya can think it and do whatever ya want, just not at me with that dying ****." Prudence snorted. "And a sorcerer isn't part of nature either. It's closer than a vampire, sure, but it's not ya know, what ya were really born as. Or what I was really born as." She shrugged. "Sorry this life sucks for ya. But I don't think the last one was doing ya any favors either. So chin up."

Lorelai:
“Sorcery is all about life Pru. Life forces. Energy. And I was born that way. With that potential. It was the path I was supposed to be on.”
She wasn’t arguing and her voice wasn’t raised in any fashion, she was just telling Prudence what she knew and how she felt. She didn’t mention her death in this part at least, so she was still keeping to the rules. She could of correcting the fact that Pru was ordering her around but that was still handing the woman too much power, or at least that was what her conscience was still telling her.

Prudence:
"And now you're a ritualist. Same difference. Kinda. Sorta. Maybe." Prudence didn't really know but the fact that Lori would rather be dead than this just irritated her. Was she wasting her time? Probably. And thinking that sucked. A lot. She was an unlucky sire it seemed. Maybe she should have capped her fangs after CC. Still a tempting idea. "Well, uhhh, I'm gonna go I guess. So ya can rest and stuff." Prudence gave Lori a little wave with her right hand. "Like sleep rest." Prudence said when she got to the doorway. "If ya need anything, feel free to shoot an email." Prudence nodded her head.

Lorelai:
“Please don’t go Pru.”
Lorelai knew she’d upset Pru and it hurt her more than the physical pain she was experiencing. Yes, she could have pointed out to Pru that she’d been a ritualist before and that it was easier then. She could have told her how nature called to her and how even being in a hospital and surrounded by sickness and death suffocated her soul and now she was a part of it herself.
“Stay with me. Please. Till I fall asleep. I didn’t mean to upset you. I would never willingly upset you. I promise.”

Prudence:
Prudence frowned when Lori pleaded with her. This vampire was pushing her boundaries and limits. She didn't want to be a vampire, but she wanted Prudence, a vampire, to stay with her? She didn't get it. "I guess." She shrugged, went to the bed and got in. Prudence stayed as close to the edge as she could. "I don't think most peple try to piss people off. It just sort of happens." She said with a small laugh and another shrug. "But ok. Just don't say that stuff around me. Please?" Prudence inched down in the bed to get comfy. As comfortable as she could in clothing and boots.

Lorelai:
“It’s the truth though pru. This isn’t a life I’d of chosen for myself.”
Lorelai moved closer to her sire, resting her head on Pru’s shoulder as she draped her wounded arm over her.
“And I won’t talk about it with you. Not now you’ve asked me not to.”
Lorelai sighed contentedly and snuggled closer, ignoring any discomfort that lying in this position gave her.

Prudence:
Prudence was going to kill Mordie. She was very uncomfortable. Not because she was snuggling with a girl, but because she was snuggling. Prudence had never, ever, ever, snuggled. Well, maybe as a kid when she was sick or something, but never as an adult. "Uhh, okay. Sounds good." Prudence scooted a little closer to the edge before huffing as half her *** was off the bed now. "Just forget about it and focus on getting healed up and resting." An arm went around Lori as Prudence stiffly pat it in an attempt to comfort her mini.

Lorelai:
“Pru… you’re going to fall off the edge of the bed if you aren’t careful.”
Lorelai tries to pull Pru closer to her so that she doesn’t do as she’d just said. She didn’t even consider the fact that Prudence didn’t want to be there, as Pru was a strong, independent women and Lorelai was certain that she’d never do anything she didn’t want to.

Prudence:
"Isn't this...nice?" Prudence says with her head buried somewhere near her mini's chest as she pulled her towards her. "So...nice." Prudence pat Lori's arm. "I'm ok. A bruise wouldn't have killed me." Prudence assures Lori before wrangling free from her mini's clutches. "So sleep. Sounds nice. Realy, really, really nice." Prudence scooted down until she was flat on the bed and closed her eyes. Pretending that she was tired and wanted to sleep. It worked sometimes when she was a kid.

Re: The L Word (Invite)

Post by Lorelai »

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Lorelai:
Lorelai yawned. She hadn’t been tired a moment ago but Pru made sleep sound so inviting. Or the curse that haunted her told her it did at least.
“I can sleep. If you’re here. Everything’s easier when you’re here. I an even swallow blood without being sick… When you tell me to feed.”
You just couldn’t help yourself could you?
Huh?
You keep saying this stuff and she’ll figure out the hold she has over you.
Mhm.
Seriously. I don’t know why I bother.

Prudence:
Pru listened to Lori and then frowned, which gave away that she wasn't sleeping or even trying to sleep. Mordie had been right. Lori held her in a really high regard. Abnormally so. "Well, uhhh, I don't want ya doing stuff that ya don't want to do. So ya know, just be you." The redhead nodded her head and gave Lori a smile as one eye cracked open to look at her mini. "But you do gotta feed. Otherwise ya will probably die or something. I'm not really sure. Usually when I'm really low on blood, I feel different. Almost like if ya were low on iron or something. Craving a burger or some ****. Cept in this instance, it's blood I'm craving. So definitely important ya get blood in ya."

Lorelai:
“I know that Pru but it’s very difficult for me to ignore what you say.”
I think you meant impossible.
I did, but you said I couldn’t say that.
Good girl.

“Did you know I used to be vegan? I never ate meat a day in my life. Accept when I was pregnant and then I threw it straight back up the moment I realised what I’d eaten. This life is more than a little painful me on a lot of levels. And I don’t say that to make you feel bad. I don’t. I just thought you should know.”
Lorelai kept her eyes closed as she spoke, her voice being that of a low whisper as if she were afraid that there might be someone else in the room with them and that they might overhear what was being said.

Prudence:
"A what?" Prudence sat up a little to look at Lori with both eyes now. "Ya didn't eat meat at all?" Prudence couldn't really imagine. She ******* loved burgers. All kinds. It super sucked she couldn't eat them anymore. "I didn't know that." She admitted with another frown. "I don't know a lot about ya to be honest. Only a few things. Like ya and me. Well, ya only know a few things about me." She added that in to bring home the fact that Lori couldn't love her. Not more than anything than a sire maybe and even that, Prudence was sure she sucked at.

Lorelai:
Lorelai felt the bed move and opened her eyes to see Pru sitting up. She seemed to want Lorelai to reply and so of course, she did.
“A vegan. I didn’t eat meat. I didn’t eat dairy. I never wore leather or any animal skin. And I didn’t think you knew. That’s why I told you. You have to realise that being what I am now goes against everything I was. And that’s why I said what I said. About…”
She couldn’t verbalise the rest of what she wanted to say as Pru has said that she wasn’t allowed to talk about it with her, so the word dying stayed buried in the back of her throat. As if to help dislodge the word, Lorelai sat up, a slender hand going to her throat. She reached out her other hand and rested it on Pru’s shoulder for support, a confused look on her face.

Prudence:
"Uuuuh," Prudence inched away a little. "Let's talk about something else?" Prudence asked, giving Lori another smile. "I used to wear a lot of leather." She said after a second before looking around. "So what else don't I know about ya? What do ya like to do? Ya know when ya wake up?" Prudence grabbed at the hand at her mini's throat and put it down at Lori's side. "Maybe we shouldn't talk. What do ya think? Is it bothering ya? To talk? Cause you're injured and stuff?"

Lorelai:
Lorelai shook her head.
“I can talk if you want to talk Pru, this isn’t strenuous. I do miss the ability to be able to heal myself. If I had of controlled myself better that night I….”
Lorelai brushed some of Pru’s hair back from off her shoulder and smiled at her as she changed the topic for the sake of her sire.
“I’m sure there’s a lot you don’t know about me. I am a grown woman after all. Like… I never had a television in my house. Or a phone. I don’t discriminate when it comes to love. I can just as easily fall for a woman as I can for a man. And when I wake up I like to come home as quickly as I can. I dislike waking up on that table in my underwear. People stare at me. I have to sleep with my tome in my bra. See…”
Lorelai shrugged the fluffy robe off her shoulders to reveal a cute, pale pink, silky matching set of underwear. She then tugged the paper from its hiding place and proffered it to Pru as proof of what she’d said.

Prudence:
Prudence just gawked at Lori as she talked about not having a television. Not because it was completely unbelievable, but because she never had one either. Carnie life sorta didn't provide things like that. She did have a phone though when she turned sixteen. A cellphone. She could still remember the thing and how cool she thought it was back then. How much had changed in less than a decade. "Well, don't sleep in yer bra and ****. Duh, Lori." Prudence said with a roll of her eyes. "But I'm sorry. I mean, I didn't know that would happen. Well, maybe cause I heard of it once before but what's the chances, ya know?" She frowned as her eyes lingered on the matching underwear set Lori had on. It was so girly. The woman at the mall more or less made Pru get stuff that was kind of like that.
"Maybe I can change the hours of the backroom so it’s closed. And ya could keep clothes at the bar." She offered as Prudence sat back against the headboard and got comfy again.

Lorelai:
“I can get home easily enough and I can’t sleep in nightdresses. It’s uncomfortable. I used to wear less… well no, more practical underwear. Then this happened.”
Lorelai was pouting. She was remembering all the outfits a certain someone had bought her that she’d refused to wear and now she had to wear the stuff.
“I don’t mind toming home. It’s just waking up there. It’s usually sticky and it doesn’t smell right.”
She wrinkled her nose as she remembered how she felt every morning.
“Didn’t anyone tell you I was there?”

Prudence:
"Well, yuh, but I mean I didn't know when ya died that you would keep popping up there." Prudence shrugged her shoulders. "And ya could go buy new **** to wear. I don't like shopping, but online shopping ain't all that bad. If ya know where to go and what ya want that is." Prudence nodded her head. "Ya used to wear all your underwear to sleep? Bras?" prudence was gawking again. She never wore a bra to bed. She rarely wore anything to bed come to think about it. She actually felt bad for Lori. To wake up anywhere other than your bed? Vulnerable like that? "I guess I'll close the back room up for a few hours each night." She smiled at her mini.

Lorelai:
“This is new. Doesn’t it look new?”
Lorelai looked down at the set she was wearing, adjusted the cups of the bra and then put the tome away again.
“I could sleep naked. But I think that might be worse. And draw more attention to me. And yes. Always in all my underwear. You probably don’t need to close it for hours Pru. I’m sure we could work out a rough time of when it happens. I don’t want to inconvenience you in any way.”
And she meant it too. If Pru didn’t want to close the back room, she wouldn’t make her. She’d get on with things the way she had been up until now.

Prudence:
"It won't kill anyone if it's closed up for an hour or two." Prudence said after she snorted her eyes. "Besides, it's my ******* bar. They don't like it? **** right off and go to some other **** hole." She cackled softly before looking at the 'new' underwear. "Yuh, I know it's new, but I meant get something you're comfy with wearing. That's all." She shrugged her shoulders a little.

Lorelai:
“I can do that.”
These four words were beginning to sound like her mantra. And she would now have to replace all the underwear she’d bought to replace the stuff she liked to wear. That was if she didn’t now have to sleep naked due to what Pru had said a little while ago.
“Pru… Tell me something about you. Please?”
Lorelai lay back down and opened her arms for her sire to join her.
Never going to happen.

Prudence:
Prudence looked at the arms and began to wonder if Lori was wanting to baby her. Because of the fact she had lost a baby not that long ago. She scratched at her cheek and then shrugged her shoulders before sinking down into the bed and resting against Lori. It sort of reminded her of her mom when she was a little girl. "Well, okay, but ya can't tell anyone. Only like, two people know this. I don't want it known because people can find out about me. What I did when I was a human." People, mostly the town people of any city weren't overly nice to Carnies. "My real name is Grace. Not Prudence. My mom named me Grace because she was stupid. Well, sentimental." Prudence said with a crinkle of her nose. "I picked this name after I was sired. I liked how it sounded."

Lorelai:
Lorelai wrapped her arms around Pru, on hand coming up so that she could gently stroke her hair.
“Grace is a lovely name. And I can promise that I will never tell a soul.”
Yeah. Like you have a choice.
“Prudence is lovely to. Of course. You suit both names. Pru…Should I have changed my name?”
She didn’t have any reason to, at least none that she knew of. But if she was supposed to, then she would have Pru pick a name for her, as she really wasn’t very good with that sort of thing. Even the name of her child had been stolen from her friend.

Prudence:
"My mom was a dreamer of sorts." Prudence said, still slightly embarrassed as she let Lori stroke her hair. It was actually reassuring and nice. She felt calm. At ease. "Nah, you don't have to. I just, well, I was part of a traveling show and I didn't want people to know. People are assholes." She said both bluntly and without emotion. As if she were stating a true fact. "So after I was sired I just decided to be someone else and someone new." She laughed and shrugged. "Sounds kinda stupid now, but too late now. Ya know? And thanks for not telling anyone. I don't even think I've told Mordie. Only two people know and that's because one person had my journal by accident once."

Lorelai:
“You don’t accidentally read someone else journal Pru. You make a conscious decision to do that. Even if they did take it by accident, they never should have read it. And do you really think that way? About people? They all people are… what you said they are. I like people. Living people. The spirits probably wouldn’t be so bad if they left me alone more often. They are very needy and I don’t mind helping. I don’t. I want to help them. I would just like to have some time to myself too. But they seem to leave me alone when you and Levi are around. I like being with you both. But not just for that reason.”
The arm that was exclusively hugging Pru, squeezed her very gently as she said that as if she were trying to reassure her that she wasn’t lying. She liked having Pru with her most of all but of course she kept this fact to herself. Mainly as her conscience was telling her too.

Prudence:
"I did." She admitted. "I didn't live a normal life and after the whole elder thing and vamps cropping up, I was one of the first known killers. And everyone said killers are the dumbest of the lot of us. So, with my past I only thought it would sorta make people think that was more truer than ever. I wasn't an overly nice person or open. Not like now." Prudence still wasn't all that open, but she was far more open than the woman that appeared to be a raging hormonal teenager that attacked anyone and everyone vocally all over the crownet. The woman that trolled elders relentlessly. "I believe there are assholes, sure. But majority aren't I think everyone's just insecure and protecting themselves from others." Prudence turned her body just a little so that she could curl into Lori and look up at her. "Or maybe I don't know what the **** I'm talking about and most of us are just assholes." She laughed and then buried her head into Lori's stomach. "Ya should try headphones. I'm gonna buy you a pair. I mean, ya gotta have your own life. Dead people are dead. What can ya do for them now that they're dead?"

Lorelai:
Lorelai was happier than she’d been in a very long time in this moment and it didn’t matter what Pru said, Lorelai couldn’t keep herself from smiling.
“I was raised to believe that there is goodness in the heart of every man. Nature strikes its own balance. And I can do plenty for the dead Pru. Most have messages for their loved ones. Things they need to communicate before they can find peace. It’s very sad. And quite overwhelming. When you add in the different energies of the electronics. My world is quite chaotic. Even now I hear the hum of information all around me. I see it too. It looks like coloured strings of light. Only I can pluck them at will. They might actually be quite beautiful if I could figure out how to ignore them better.”
Lorelai gave a soft shrug. She wasn’t really complaining. She didn’t like to complain. She’d done a lot of that in the past few months due to the drink and pills but that wasn’t her true nature. If Pru wanted to see who Lorelai had been, there was no better example than the one she was seeing right now.

Prudence:
"Ya can't go around giving messages to living people from their dead ones. Think about how that will sound." Prudence turned so she could look up at Lori, asserting an authoritative glance at her mini. "Open that door, ya might open another and another and soon, you're going to be under a close, watchful eye, Lori." Prudence nodded her head. "Promise ya won't draw attention to yerself. I got enough problems with the others." She shook her head. "It wouldn't be good for ya, for me, or for any of us."

Lorelai:
“I…”
She wanted to say she had to. Needed to. It was the only way the spirits would leave her alone but Pru had forbidden her and she now couldn’t say that.
“I have an email account. No-one sees me. I made one especially. When I came to the city I couldn’t even switch a laptop on but now the information they contain is clear to me and I can manipulate it easily. They won’t trace me Pru. And… On the streets… People just think I’m crazy.”
Lorelai gave a small shrug.
“Can you take that back please? What you just said. I need to be able to do what I do that, or they won’t ever leave me alone.”
Lorelai lightly ran her hair down over Pru’s hair, her fingertips just lightly brushing at Pru’s face along the hairline.

Prudence:
"Can't ya just tell them to **** off?" Prudence sat up so that they were both eye level now. "And ya can do whatever ya want, I just hope ya don't do stupid ****. Yer an adult, so whatever. But I ******* warned ya. Don't cry in my head if ya die and are in the shadow realm." A roll of her shoulders was given.

Lorelai:
Lorelai placed a tender hand to Pru’s cheek as she gave her a soft smile.
“I promise to take as many precautions as I can Pru. I wouldn’t want to do anything that could lead people back to you. But no. I cannot tell them to leave. It doesn’t seem to work. I only know two ways to keep them at bay. They seem to stay away if you or Levi are with me. And once I’ve helped them, they move on. To where they are supposed to be. I don’t mind that aspect Pru. Helping people.”
Don’t even think about.
Huh?
You were staring at her lips. I know what you were thinking.
*sighs softly* A girl can dream.
So long as that’s all it is. And what happened to hating her.
I still do.
Liar.

Prudence:
"Good enough, I guess. Since you're being extra careful and smart. Still think ya should tell them to **** right off. Rude fuckers. People got **** to do too." Prudence nodded her head before sinking back down into the bed to get comfortable again. "Ya should be resting too. We could talk about this some other time. Or not. Since it seems ya got things under control. Not your mom or anything. Just yer sire. But maybe we could, like, be friends or something. I never really had a lot of friends. I have Mordie, but not any girlie friends." The redhead offered before rolling on her side to look at Lori.

Lorelai:
Lorelai was happy to hear that she would be allowed to continue to helping the spirits that came to her. Though relieved might have been a better word, as there were days when she’d rather never see another ghost as long as she lived. Having to ignore them would have given her a headache as they tended to crowd her when they felt ignored.
“Thank you. And we were already friends Pru. At least I considered you to be my friend.”
She smiled at her sire, the pain she was feeling all but forgotten.
“I’m not so naïve as to believe that everyone trusts as easily as I do though. So I’m not offended that you didn’t see me that way.”
Lorelai was so full of amorous feelings at this point that she quite forgot herself and with Pru in such a good mood too, she felt bold enough to try kissing her again; only this time she wouldn’t be apologising for it, as she liked Pru and she didn’t think she had to be ashamed of that. Lorelai was soft hearted and crushing on a few people, most of which were male but Pru held a special place in her heart as she was bound to her, devoted to her. Whatever Pru told her to do, she would do it and of all the order’s Pru had given, she hadn’t actually forbidden her to kiss her again. The timid blonde leaned towards Pru, placed one hand under the red head’s chin so that she could focus Pru’s attention where she required it and then gently pressed her lips to her sire’s.

Prudence:
Prudence smiled a little when Lori said that they were already friends. She wasn't sure how friendly they were, but maybe they were friends. Pru was here now and was always worried about her. And protective. And Lori was being nice to her. So they were friends after all. "What way?" Prudence asked her, not sure where that comment suddenly came from? Did she think Lori was naive? No, but she was new and not so knowledgeable on some stuff. Not naive, but a lack of expertise when it came to some things. She was just about to tell Lori that she didn't think she was naive, which would hopefully have the woman explain what she meant by the comment, when Lori kissed her. Again! Prudence didn't move. Not at first. She laid there, stunned. "Woah!" Prudence suddenly said before she reeled backwards a little bit, giving them both some distance. "Lori, you're super cool and stuff, but right now? I don't think, no, I can't really do this." She pointed between the two of them. "Like, with anyone. I'm still trying to figure some stuff out and ya know focus on me. I was so focused on Cliff for so long that I kinda forgot who I was and the things I wanted to do. I mean, I don't even think I'm in to girls, even though people say something different. Don't ya want to be with someone who knows what they want and what they're in to?" She sat up and moved to the corner of the bed, opposite of Lori to give them both some space.

Lorelai:
Lorelai wasn’t too offended when Pru pulled away, her conscience had seen it coming. She moved to seat herself up against the headboard and just listened quietly as Pru explained why they couldn’t or perhaps wouldn’t be together. Pru didn’t seem all that sure about the not being into girls thing and so she wasn’t even going to worry about that for now. What did catch her attention was the fact that Pru seemed to be saying that she needed to find herself and Lorelai was sure that she was the most confident, self-assured woman she’d ever met.
“I never would have imagined you were trying to find yourself Prudence. You seem to be so very… Well. I never would have thought you weren’t one hundred percent sure of who you are. And I’m not sure who I want to be with. I haven’t really given it a lot of thought. When I’ve kissed you, it’s been because it felt right to do it. If you don’t want me to kiss you again, all you have to do is say so.”
You’re an idiot.
Why do you say that?
You’re handing her all the power and there’s no way in this world that you want her to tell you never to kiss her again.
But if it’s what she wants...
Seriously. How did I get stuck with you?

Prudence:
Prudence rolled her eyes. "I'm not gonna tell ya what ya can and can't do, Lori. Ya just told me a few minutes ago to not do that. I'm not your mom or boss or something. You're in charge of you. Ok?" Prudence offered her a large smile before she nodded, ensuring that Lori knew she was her own boss. "And I am sorta confident. I mean I know what I can and can't do physically, but relationships? Not so much. My record kinda. sorta sucks." Another casual shrug of her shoulders was given. "I don't want something that sucks again." Prudence rolled on her back, still staying at the foot of the bed as she looked up at the ceiling. "If I figure out who, or what I'm in to and it happens to be girls, you'll be the first girl I'll call, ok?" She turned her head to give Lori a smile from the side.

Lorelai:
Lorelai smiled and nodded. “Whatever happens Prudence, so long as you are happy, I’ll be happy. I don’t believe we have much choice over who we fall in love with. So I won’t be angry with you if that’s never me.”
Lorelai climbed out of the bed and begun to shrug off her robe. The robe was behind her back in her hands when she realised Pru had more or less told her not to sleep in her underwear and hence she would have to sleep naked. Considering the conversation they’d just had this wasn’t a great idea and that was without the added issue of where she’d then keep her tome.
“Pru… Would it be all right if I continued to sleep in my underwear?”
The woman had told her she was an adult and could make her own decisions but still, this order had stuck, perhaps due to the fact that this possibly overriding statement had been made in regards to a separate conversation.

Prudence:
No choice? She wasn't sure she believed that. People put time and effort in to cultivating things so they could progress on a positive scale. If you didn't want to be with someone, you wouldn't spend the time with them. If you did, then you would. "Uhhh," Prudence started to object to Lori getting undressed right in front of her when Lori asked her about sleeping a certain way. "Yuh, I don't care. I guess it's better than waking up, like I would in the back room. In my birthday suit if I had that curse. Though, I'd probably just kill the first ****** that saw me and said **** about it." She cackled, then rolled to her stomach to give Lori the once over. "Ya should rest and I should get going. It's what a good sire would do." She popped up off the bed. "Heal up, I'll probably catch ya tomorrow at the saloon. I'm gonna head there tonight and do some stuff and probably just crash in the office." She nodded her head as she finalized the agenda in her mind. She had an apartment and could come here, but Prudence liked to move around as much as she could.

Lorelai:
“Thank you,” she said as she slipped between the sheets. She was relieved that she would be able to sleep as she wished to.
“You can always stay here. I don’t mind. I honestly don’t. We can divide the bed with pillows if you’re worried I might try and kiss you again, but that’s not necessary.”
Lorelai smiled at her sire. If she wished to leave she couldn’t make her stay. The need to obey didn’t seem to be a two way street and even if it were, she wouldn’t ever misuse that kind of power.

Prudence:
Prudence laughed at what she said. "I'm not worried about that. I'm worried about ya healing right." She stuck her tongue out at her mini vamp. Lori seemed to understand that Prudence wasn't really feeling the idea of a relationship right now. With a guy or a girl. "Maybe next time? I never really did this before. With a girl. Or anyone. This whole sleep over girl talk stuff. There weren't a lot of kids where I was growing up. Not ones we trusted that is." She played with her red hair a little bit before smoothing it down. "So rain cheque? Maybe we can do this again. When yer healed up?"

Lorelai:
Lorelai nods.
“I’d like that Pru.”
Lorelai began to get herself settled, though she’d more than likely play on the internet a little before she let sleep take her.
“Sweet dreams little star,” she said with a wave of her hand as she closed her eyes and began to relax a little.

Prudence:
Prudence stood up taller when Lori said they could do this again, under different circumstances. She waited until it seemed that Lori was going to call it a night, then headed out through one of the many portals, finding her way to a train station. From there she would go over to Coastside, check in with her head of security and then go to her office where she would do some work and think about what Lori said. About not helping who you fall in love with. Lori had an interesting view on things, even if she didn't agree. The last thing she did was put a note on her desk about a sleep over with Lori before she called it a night and claimed the couch in her office.

The killer woke early, it was only two pm. Rising from his desk chair he stretched, before prowling his office. Another night spent in the chair of his office, but the Cheytac shipment was coming in and he wanted to handle it himself. Twenty five rifles and their accompanying gear at twelve thousand each, was more than he would leave to underlings. Once that was done he would go see Pru. The sound of a buzzer rang quietly as Mordechai headed to the receiving dock. A twenty foot straight truck was backed in, door raised. The killer paused to study the carefully stacked crates within. Each one contained a weapons system capable of hitting a man sized target in excess of twenty two hundred meters with the first shot, no fouling shot needed as was common in the larger bore fifty Barrett.

A nod to his dock workers, and the massive male stepped into the truck and gently lifted the first crate carrying it out on to the dock. "Lets get them stacked here, and the truck off, then we can get them into the vault." It took but a few minutes for the three men to empty the truck. Three hundred thousand dollars worth of high tech sniper systems did not take up very much space when piled neatly. Mordechai placed his hand on the palm scanner beside the steel door on the edge of the dock. A click and a hum, and the door swung slowly open. a moment more and the weapons had been moved inside, the vault door sealed, and still two hours to sunset. Time to head off to the Saloon, as there was a fair chance he would find Pru there, and he could find out how her talk went with her blonde sniffer.

He stepped off the dock, and after ascertaining his solitude, reached inside and drawing on his inner anima took off running. Celerity brought him through the city, almost side to side, ending up at the saloon in less than a minute. Mordechai entered and walked down the long entrance aisle after bowing to Annie on his way in. Looking about the main bar room, the killer call the eye of the saloons head of security. JJ was a large man, and a good fighter, for a human. Mordie had helped him crack skulls numerous times when the rowdies got too rowdy. A raised eyebrow caught the man's eye and JJ, knowing he would be looking for the boss, nodded towards her office.

Mordechai slipped down the hall to her office, surprisingly quiet for a man of his size. The years he had spent as a sniper, and in asset reallocation obviously having made their mark in his stealth abilities. He found her sleeping on the couch in the office, it was still a few hours till sundown. He watched over her for a moment, it was the most peaceful he had seen her in a long time. Maybe the talk with Lorelai had gone well. Quietly he closed the door, not wanting to wake her.

Mordechai made his way out into main barroom, starting towards the bar, when it really sunk in how much the continued daywalking was depleting his energy reserves, and how much he was not in the mood to sit in a corner sipping from an empty bottle. Turning he made his way through the room til he reached the door to the 'back room'. Normally it was a place where patrons went to settle differences, but it was never in use until later at night, when the alcohol had done its job, and beer muscles were in abundance. Entering it was as Mordechai had expected, empty. The door had a lock, but Pru the only key, no problem, the killer pulled out one of his Fairbairns and drove it into the jamb. The tip buried itself a good inch in the wood. That would hold it shut.

He had spent to many hours encased in leather, and shrugging his shoulders he slipped out of the duster hanging it on a provided hook. New rocks were shed, socks placed inside. The silk shirt and leather jeans went next, exposing the killers muscular body from braided locks to the hard soles of his feet. Flexing once, to stretch the stiffened muscles showed a physique that would have garnered ribbons, if he was in a competition. Reveling in the freedom and feel of air flowing across his bared skin, the killer slipped up on the table and relaxed. He would be able to catch over an hours nap before sunset. A small smile crossed his face as he remembered a conversation with an old girlfriend when he was human. She had asked him 'boxers or briefs' his answer had been 'unnecessary expense' there had never been a reason to change, least of all now, as his kennedy was quite happy with his choice.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

<Prudence> After talking to Lori, Prudence had gone back to the saloon and claimed the couch after a few hours of computer work. When she slept, the woman was dead to the world, as most vampires were. However, she didn’t really worry about being bothered during the day time hours as she had her thrall and bar staff that came in and started working during the day at different hours. Eleven a.m. was the first staff member to pop in to start setting up the bar for the night. After that a few more came in around 2 p.m. and from there, it was just about every other hour, on the hour that others trickled in until the bar fully opened for patrons at seven at night.

They knew better than to check on her, knowing Pru wouldn’t like to be woken up (or so that’s what she claimed and threatened the original staff, who in turn told the newer staff members. So no one ever bothered her. If there were questions, they went to J.J. or Ryker when she got in, being those two had been there the longest and were the most trusted.

When the redhead finally stirred for the night, at just a little past six o’clock, she didn’t even bother changing clothes, figuring she would do a quick walk through of the place and see if anything was needed before heading to her apartment in the QZ and actually getting ready for the night.

“Hey, J.J. What’s the news for the night?” The redhead said as she came out of the office, her hair just a little disheveled, but nothing the staff hadn’t seen before. The truth was, she often tossed before finding a comfortable position and clearing her mind to allow sleep to claim her, but even she was subjected to the rising sun and so any thoughts that were in her mind would be forced aside as sleep claimed her and them.

“Not much. But the back room has a problem.” He started out, the short male with dark hair stopped wiping the bar glasses clean. “Damn door is stuck. From the inside.” Prudence looked at him and then at his arms, specifically. While he was shorter than she was, by a couple inches, he had some weight in his arms and could throw a mean left hook.

“Uhhh, did ya try and put yer back into it?” She cackled before shrugging her shoulders. “I’ll give it a look. Could be a squatter. Get the shotgun out from under the bar if it is. That **** ain’t cracking.” The only squatter in her bar should be Lori, and Prudence was pretty sure she hadn’t locked herself in. Lori hated waking up here and so staying here wasn’t a choice for her.

Prudence went to the back room and gave the door a push and sure as ****, it wasn’t budging. So she gave it a solid, two bangs before shouting at the top of her lungs, “Ya best get yer *** outta my back room before I blow a hole in yer *** with my girl, Vera.” It would be the only warning they got before shots were fired.

<Mordechai> Mordechai snapped awake at the thudding on the door, and slipped from the table. Years of waking under fire had him dropping right in to the legs of his leathers from the table. Slipping them over his hips, he placed one hand on the door knob and the other on the Fairbairn. Popping the knife free he circled it around so the blackened blade lay against his forearm, and ripped open the door, filling the opening with his massive frame. Someone was ******* around in Pru’s bar, someone was gonna pay the price. As his hand started forward with the knife, Mordechai recognized the screaming voice, as his eyes took in the titian haired killer before him. “Morn...evening Pru, what’s going on out here?” The low rumble of his voice rolled out like small stones carousing down the bottom of a fast moving stream.

<Prudence> By the time the door swung open, Prudence had been tossed the shotgun from under the bar by her barkeep, J.J. He wasn’t the type to use weapons, preferring to use his fists to solve any problems after a few threats, but she had no reservations about it. If J.J. knew what was in the city and that a good quarter or so of the population was a vampire, he might change his mind. Prudence was just about to put a shell in the gun when Mordie revealed himself, half naked. Her head tipped backwards as she looked at the ceiling and she breathed a sigh of relief. “Jesus Christ Mordie, I was gonna blow yer god damn head off.” She laughed and shook her shoulders before attempting to look behind the massive beast of a man. “Ya the only one back there?” She stopped looking around him and looked at him after asking him that question.

<Mordechai> Stepping back to allow Pru into the room, he nodded “You were still sleeping when i got here. Figured I would grab a few minutes rest while I waited.” Shutting the door after they were both inside, he slid back up on the table leaning back. “Been going for three days now. Needed some down time.” He gestured to the chair next to the one holding his duster and shirt. “How did the talk go with Lorelai?”

<Prudence> She shrugged her shoulders and then smoothed her mussed hair down a little. “Alright, I guess.” She looked around the room, then back at him as she entered it. “Ya can’t be in here. Sleeping like that.” She propped the shotgun against the nearest wall to her right, then crossed her arms. “Lori pops in here. Should be any minute now.” She uncrossed her arms, and moved to about the same location she had killed Lori and then sired her, giving an extra two feet or so of space for the woman when she got here. “This room is off limits til it’s opening time.” She nodded her head in a matter of fact sort of way.

<Mordechai> Mordechai cocked an eyebrow quizzically as he listened to his friend. She had sorta skated past the topic of the mad sniffer and her kisses, but it was her business not his. He lifted the knife pointing at the door, “She would not have come in on me unannounced. I made sure the room was sealed. If you couldn't get in, and JJ couldn't get in, there is no way she could have forced my lock. I was just getting an hours rest, and did not want to bother the staff, or have them bothering me.” He paused, looking around the room. “I figured this early no one would be using the back room. Sun doesnt even set for another five minutes, can’t be that many wanting to brawl.” Slipping the Fairbairn back in its sheath the killer dropped it on his boots. “If they did have a problem, I am sure i could accomodate.”

<Prudence> She was glad he didn’t ask any more questions about Lori and the talk. Relieved, actually. When he talked about Lori not being able to get in and not being able to force his lock, she snorted and then laughed. “She can get in and will. Soon. If ya stick around, but yer not. So.” Prudence moved to her friend and put both hands on his shoulders and started pushing him to the doorway. Or at least attempting to. He was bigger, and more solid than she was and stronger too. “Come on. Ya can tell me whatever ya wanna tell me about whatever in another room. Like the main bar.” She gave him another shove in that direction. “Or I might tell ya something that went down when I talked with her. Just one thing.” Why Mordie was asking about Lori and her was beyond her. He probably was just doing the friend thing by looking out for her, but the idea of Lori getting with her and breaking Pru’s heart was probably slim to none.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

<Mordechai> Mordechai slipped from the table once more, eyes on Pru and her strange behavior. Shaking his head the killer walked over to the chair recently vacated by the red head, pulling up the zipper of his leather and fastening the heavy snap at the waist. Settling in to the empty chair, he reached down, slipping the sheaths from his boots before pulling them on. Laces tight, buckles done, spikes adjusted, Mordechai slipped the sheaths into his boots, fastening the clips securely to the leather, then adjusting them for the quickest draw. Reaching to the chair with the rest of his clothes, he lifted the wrist sheaths and began to fasten them. For the most part decent by community standards he paused a moment, “You said Mz Lorelai is coming here? That is good, I have some zombie ears that marie has collected for her. Do you know how long it will be till she arrives?” The sheaths secured he slipped in the swhrt’s. into place.

<Prudence> Mordie was starting to irritate her. “Would ya get the **** up? Ya can’t sit here or be in this spot. This is Lori’s spot. And ya can give her your ears at another time.” Prudence crossed her arms at her chest again as her eyes narrowed at her friend

<Mordechai> ”I signed the waiver...Are you saying you wanna have a go?” Mordechai stood and arched his back. “It has been a **** week. How you want to roll this time? I came here to talk with you and finish our discussion, you have been in my face since the moment I woke. Whats your problem? If Mz Lorelai is coming, I can damn well give them now. I am not coming back tonight. I have **** to do in Cherrydale. I wont have time to return.” He growled.

<Prudence> “If ya wanna have a go, we can go. But don’t expect me to go easy on yer *** like all them other times.” She stood there, eyes still narrowed. She didn’t care if he had things to do and what his timetable was like. He was intruding on Lori’s nightly ritual and the fact she could be naked. “The backroom ain’t open til the bar opens, so ya signing the thing doesn’t mean squat to me right now. Ya can’t be here cause Lori is gonna be here and she’s gonna probably be naked. So GET OUT.” Prudence growled at him as both her fists came to her sides and clenched together tightly.

<Mordechai> Enough was enough. She had trained him and been there for him when he was fresh turned. In return he had placed her in the forefront of his life, always there when she called, and even when she didn't. Even when she had let CC go so out of control, constantly attacking his kennedy and himself, and never trying to stop her, he had just kept going. She had called him here last night to talk about a problem, and he had dropped everything, and came to her, doing the best he could. She had called him her best friend. Then when he comes to see how things went, she wants to go psycho on him? Settling back in the chair he crossed his arms and just stared into her eyes, his face slowly darkening.

<Prudence> “Are ya deaf? Lori is gonna be here and she’s probably gonna be naked or damn well close to it. Ya cannot be in here.” Prudence stomped her feet on the hardwood floor before groaning. “Goooooo.” She shooed him towards the door with her hands. “When she’s decent ya can give her whatever the **** ya wanna give her. Until then, GOOOOO.” Prudence knew Lori wouldn’t appreciate being seen naked or even partially naked by Mordie because of the fact she was waking up here and not in her own private bed. Maybe if it wasn’t here it wouldn’t be that big of a deal but Lori hated, hated being here and while Prudence loved being here most nights, the two didn’t share the same appreciation for the situation Lori faced. “Please.” She added before slumping her shoulders forward.

<Mordechai> Still not satisfied, he watched her closely expecting a surprise assault. What she said made no sense. Why in the world would Mz Lorelai come to the saloon naked, or partially naked. He didn't take for that sort of a woman. And he was seldom wrong. Mz Lorelai wouldn't run around letting people see her, the clothes she had worn when he first saw her hugging and sniffing Pru at Bullwood station had covered her completely, other than her bare feet. She seemed naive and innocent. The look on Pru’s face was confusing though, she looked defeated, and that was not a Pru look. Slowly he rose, never taking an eye away off her, and reached one hand for his shirt. “So you want me to believe that Mz Lorelai runs around the saloon naked. What? You horning in on CC’s business and using Mz Lorelai to do it, because she is too scared to refuse?” Slowly his hand slid towards his wrist. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He had spent his life protecting innocents. Looked like there was one more needing saved. “I am not leaving until I am sure that she actually wants to do whatever ******** you have going on here. Is this her new dressing room, where you make her strip?”

<Prudence> Was he serious? Prudence looked him over from top to bottom, trying to see if what he was saying was what he actually meant to say. She saw no smile or indication in the way he said the words to show that he wasn’t being serious. Slowly, the room began to alter around them as her temper started to flare, only the fact that her temper was there a second ago was long gone. One couldn’t actually feel anything coming off the woman anymore, regardless to how she was standing. The room darkened, or rather dulled just a little bit, as did Prudence herself and the clothing she was wearing before she said her piece of mind. No tone indicating her true inner thoughts. “Look around and use the organ in your head. Do you see anything in this room that would indicate she strips or uses this to wear idiotic outfits?” With the last word spoken, the redhead’s hair colored darkened from a bright red to a dull brownish red at best.

<Mordechai> A low growl erupted, followed by a terse question. “then why would she be naked here?”

<Prudence> “Because this is where she always wakes up. Where I did the deed. You know, made her a vampire. I think it’s something I pass on to mine. CC wakes up in Silks in the room I killed her in and now so does Lori. Macro did too when he was here.” The mention of Macro brought a small frown to her features, even though it couldn’t be felt from her. The feeling of loss over someone she cared about and had known most her human life span.

<Mordechai> Mordechai let his mind digest the woman’s words for a moment. He had never heard of such a thing before. His eyes swept over Pru, there was no sign of deceit. Lifting his shirt from the chair he slipped into it, then grasp the duster. “You have thirty seconds till nightfall, knock when she is presentable. Stepping outside the door, he pulled it closed behind him. Pulling one of the Fairbairns from a boot, he leaned one shoulder against the door frame, totally filling the opening. If what Pru said was true, it was not Mz Lorelai’s fault. If it wasn't her fault, no one would enter. Slowly he dug the tip of the blade under a nail as his eyes locked on to each person in the bar, one by one, making sure all knew he was there and watching.

<Prudence> Prudence snorted and gave him a "Yeah, yeah, yeah," as her hands shooed him to the door for good measure. With a shrug of her shoulders, the redhead pulled her t-shirt off and held it out in about the spot Lori would appear so that she could be at least half way presentable when the door opened and they both met up with Mordie again. Mordie had seen more of Prudence than her in some jean shorts and a bra before, and truth was, neither looked at the other in that way anyways. However, Lori didn't know Mordie from adam or what he was like and so giving her the t-shirt seemed the best option being there was nothing to give her other than some broken beer bottles and a few kegs.

Post by Lorelai »

The sun disappeared below the horizon and with its light snuffed out, Lorelai was transported across the city to the place where she died; this was her nightly ritual and if she had a way of preventing, she would have done so. The bar, while empty this night, usually had a couple of occupants in it and she usually awoke to find people staring at her. It was a horrible start to the day, one she possibly loathed in fact but she bore the indignity of it all as best she could. There was nothing she could do to change things and so she had to accept it.

The blonde appeared on the table, still wearing the same pale pink, silky underwear set she'd been wearing the night before. The injuries across her stomach still showed but they had lessened and within a day or so they'd be gone. As her eyes fluttered open she experienced that one, singularly perfect moment of happiness in which she forgot what and where she was. The table was its usual grimy self and as she pushed herself up from its sticky surface, she was rather shocked and surprised to see Prudence waiting there, her t-shirt stretched out towards her. And what a sight that was. Her usual glum mood instantly brightened and she leapt off of the table and threw her arms around Pru's neck.

"Good morning Pru. Or rather good night."

She pulled back and smiled at the red head before pressing her lips to hers. She kissed her softly and then stepped back out of Pru's space and took the proffered t-shirt from her. She could barely bring herself to put the thing on though, as doing so would cause the thing to lose a little of its current value.

Oh put the damn thing on already.
I will.
When?
Now.
Right. What you waiting for?
It smells like her.

Without thinking or meaning to, Lorelai brought the t-shirt up to her face and breathed in Pru's scent. Quickly realising what she'd done and that Pru had likely seen her, her cheeks turned a deep shade of red.

Yep. And you should be ashamed too.
Shh.
No.
Please?
Fine. I'll stop when you stop eyeing her up.
I wasn't.
You were.

And she had been too. It was Pru's fault, she was there; standing there in her little shorts, fishnet stocking and bra. She was like a scantily clad goddess. Though perhaps that was quite fitting as a lot of the drawings she'd seen of goddesses and angels showed them wearing very little. Pru was her very own red headed deity. As far as starts to the day went, this was by far the best she could hope for. Seeing Pru at all was more than she could have asked for and so to be greeted by her half naked and then to be offered an item of her clothing to wear. There really wasn't anything more she could ask for in the world, aside from a pulse of course.

Put the t-shirt on!

Her inner voice was beginning to get annoyed, the day had only just begun and here was Lorelai, already messing up. Or so it seemed to her. Reluctantly Lorelai pulled the rather tight t-shirt over her head, once more revelling in the scent of it. Prudence had made a token of it, in Lorelai's eyes, and so if she expected to get the top back, ever, she'd have to ask for it, as the blonde would be reluctant to give up even a material part of her sire.

"Thank you," she said softly, her voice full of gratitude.

She stood there, pulling the hem down as far as it would go as her eyes took in all there was of Pru to see; her defined muscle tone, her curves, it all had Lorelai blushing once more. The top she'd been handed didn't quite cover her silken knickers, knickers that were styled like a pair of short and sexy boxer shorts. They covered a little more than standard knickers did and looked a hell of a lot better too, something she had neglected to realise while she'd been dating a certain someone.

When Lori appeared, Prudence just stood there, not moving. She hated coming here and the redhead knew it too. Not sure what state of mind or emotional wreck Lori would be, Prudence stood like a statue and waited. Waited for Lori to start complaining about being here or worse. Crying about being here. Crying wasn't something the redhead was good at dealing with. Thank **** Mordie was her though.

What happened wasn't anything Prudence expected. At all. Lori seemed happy to be here, but Prudence knew that wasn't true. Not from what she told her. Maybe she was getting over the whole waking up here bit. Or dealing with it at least. If you couldn't change something, you had to adapt in Pru's mind and work around it. "Uhhh, heeeey." Prudence spoke cautiously, still waiting for Lori to start getting emotional.

Then she hugged Prudence and once again kissed her. The kiss wasn't returned and she didn't back away, because Lori had surprised her and backed away herself. "Happy to see ya too? But boundaries, ya know?" Prudence reminded her mini about the whole kissing thing again before watching the woman sniff her shirt. "Yuh, sorry, it's not clean cause I slept in it, but it's the best I could offer on short notice. Mordie's worried about your propriety or something or another. So ya gotta tell him I'm not whoring ya out or whatever." Prudence snorted and rolled her eyes before pointing towards the door.

"He's just on the other side, so if ya wanna put the shi-" She stopped because Lori had gone ahead and taken the initiative to put the shirt on while Prudence was talking. She nodded her head, because it was the best she could do to try and offer Lori some modesty from someone she didn't know all too well, before heading to the door and giving it a knock. "She's here and in one piece and half way presentable." Prudence stated before backing away from the door, claiming a wall with her back and crossing her arms at her chest.

The killers eyes roved the barroom as he slowly picked at his nails with the Fairbairn, the warning was explicit, and the few patrons in this early wisely chose not to challenge him. His preternatural hearing easily picked up the voice from within, so he knew Lorelai had arrived. The females conversed for a while, before he felt the knock and heard Pru's call. One last growl slipped his lips, before he turned and entered. He had found that he could go three to four days without the daysleep, but his irritability factor rose exponentially the longer he went. Luckily the short nap had taken off the edge. As he entered, his eyes did their habitual sweep of the room, taking in a shirtless red headed Pru leaning against a wall, and a smiling blonde Lorelai gazing happily at her. The mystery of Pru's shirt was solved as it hung from the shoulders of her childe, covering all but the pale pink silky boy- shorts that rode Lorelai's hips.

Mordechai touched the brim of his stetson in greeting as he stepped forward. His mind still contemplated the telepaths arrival, as he knew from experience that Pru could summon, but perhaps what she had said was true. If it was, steps would have to be taken. Reaching Lorelai he turned to look at Pru, "When you are riding ***** it doesn't matter, because you are blocked by the rider," one finger reached out to lift the hem of her shirt, "But if you plan on being the rider, and wearing a skirt, these are the kind I was saying you should get. Tho black will match the rest of the outfit better than pink." Turning back to face the fledgling, The killer reached into one of the oversized outer pockets of his duster removing two carefully wrapped packages. "The larger one has a selection of zombie ears, to aid you in our endeavors to rid the city of sirens. The second, I had marie collect after you mentioned the need for a few used syringes." He paused as he considered his words before continuing. "Prudence says you appear in this room every night at sunset, is this true?" It was not that he disbelieved his friend, but more that he was looking for clarification.

Mordechai quietly watched the telepath for a moment. even though he was talking to her, it seemed her attention, her focus, never left the titian haired killer that had sired her. Definitely there was much he could learn from this one, she exhibited many traits he had neither seen nor heard of before. He slipped one hand into a different pocket as he continued to tower over the diminutive blonde, as he considered her, and how different she was from the others that Pru had sired. Finally he withdrew the hand and proffered it to the young woman, "Here, Mz Lorelai, this should help you in your daily endeavors." Carefully he set a delicate bracelet in her small hand. "I found it the other day, when I was doing some asset reallocation. If there are other items you need, you may use your powers to reach and inform me."

Turning back to the killer doing the lingerie model imitation, he nodded once more "My apologies." He started towards the chair he had so recently vacated, and slid comfortably into it. As he sat, once more his evaluating eyes took in the fledgling. "A little soft Pru, you should take her training with you."
