Time in church

Patrick entered the church. His hood was up and his face was to the floor. He found a pew to himself and he sat in. As he placed his bag next to him he dug out his bible and got down to his knees. The bible went to his forehead as he began to pray.

Oh Father,

You, the one on high who has given me strength and power beyond those of my brothers, You have blessed this seventh son of a whore with your power and wisdom and love. You who have sent me fist from the disgusting streets and sewers to Your house. You who saved me when this hethern world was ready to drag me to hell with them. I trust only in You and those that You see fit.

Oh Father, when I got the orders to come here, I trusted, as I always will, that you would show me the way, but now that I am here, Father, I am unsure what it is I am to do. The orders were clear that I am here to serve you and take down those that would laugh in your face but I cannot do so alone. I am unsure where to start Father.

If there are others in the city like me give me a way to find them. Point me in the right direction Father. I only wish to serve You and rid this city of the scum that infest it. I am sure one has already fed from me but I can not recall what they looked like. I will do what I can Father to serve You as You want me to.

Pater noster in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum. Adveniat regnum tuum, fiat voluntas tua, in terris sicut in caelis. Et ne nos inducas in tentationem, sed libera nos a malo.

He stood as his prayer was done and placed his bible back into his bag and his bag back on his shoulder. He walked up to the basin of holy water and stuck his thumb in and drew a cross on his forehead as he said the Lord’s prayer again. Turning he made his way out of the church. Once out in the open air of the night he pulled his cigarettes from his pocket and lit one up as he headed to the closes bar her could find.
