What happen on the bad side of town? (Odin)

Post by Skyy (DELETED 4922) »

Skyy stared at the tv watching netflix as she held a blanket not for the warmth but because she was watching Dexter. The man scared her but she couldn't get enough of it, if you counted the fact she hid under the blanket every time he hunted someone. Part of Skyy couldn't understand how he was the bad guy, he took care of the real bad guys. Guys like her on-again-off-again boyfriend. He was behind bars... for now. Her eyes moved towards the bedroom recalling what he would do to her before pulling the blankets around her tighter, someone like Dexter... that's a good guy for real.

-------

Skyy walked up and down the street, he was home, he knew she was with child but he didn't care. He didn't care, she held her stomach tight, recalling what he said would happen to her and her baby if she left him. They would both disappear... just like her hero Dexter did to people. She tried not to cry, as he told her not to come back until she had gotten some money. She only knew a few ways to get money and she didn't want to do one of them... even when he had forced her in the past. No she was going to have to steal from someone, anyone.

Her eyes scanned the streets carefully as she paced back and forth before catching sight of a man. He would do, even if he looked scary, she knew many wouldn't hit someone with a child on the way and she was so close now that she could simply go into labor at any second. She made her way so she would bump into him, take his wallet. Skyy had to be careful she knew she had to be careful, yet at least if she was behind jail for stealing he wouldn't... he wouldn't be able to hurt them. Taken a deep breath she closed her eyes and ran into the man. “Sorry... sorry...” she said reaching into his pocket as she pretend to untangle herself from him. Wallet in hand she quickly made her way back to her apartment. Back to man she couldn't help but love even when he was really not a good man.

------

Skyy cried out as she fell down the stairs. She had gotten good at taken falls, she held her stomach, balling up as she fell. Laid there as he came at her careful to not let any harm come to her unborn child as he began to drag her to her feet. “Please... please... I didn't mean too... I'm sorry...” he smacked her hard across the face.

“******* whore. Bet that ******* thing in you isn't even mine.” He smacked her hard again this time she could feel her jaw pop “Get the **** out there and get me some ******* money you whore” he shoved her hard and she tried to stop her tears as she ran her hand across her stomach even as the cold air hit them. No shoes, no coat, she wasn't sure what she should do... had to get him money. Her eyes darted around, hopefully someone would take pity on her....

Odin was out walking in one of the seedier parts of Harper Rock. There were not many people around tonight and he was glad of that. The cold night air was refreshing, and decided to walk down by the docks. His peaceful night walk was interrupted by a woman heading in his direction.

"What's wrong with this picture?" he mused under his breath. The young lady was barefoot, not wearing a jacket and was so pregnant she looked like she could drop at any moment. He was hoping she was just going to stay on the other side of the street, but after a moment he realized she was heading straight for him.

Just my luck

Skyy wasn't seeing much of anyone who was willing to help her out of this state. So she began to walk, she could always go inside one of the buildings if she had shoes on... otherwise she would just have to stand outside of the doorway to a place. She ran a hand across her stomach. Nothing good was going to come out of this night she was sure of that much. She would either get another beating for not having any money for him or she would be forced to do... things she wasn't exactly wanting to do.

Darting across the street she noticed the figure, clearly male, tall as well. She wanted to run but that wouldn't look to good, not that she looked that good with all the bruises on her body. She flashed him a smile as she grabbed his hand, making sure he stopped and would look at her. “Hey... handsome... want to have a little fun?” she hated it, she hated it so much but this is what Tommy wanted her to do. This is what he forced her to do so many times, and when she tried to fight it, tried to make him stop it he would just beat her and tie her up and force her anyways. “I'll do whatever you like” she wanted to throw up, she didn't even find this guy good looking, he was to old maybe younger than her dad but still to old for her taste. Still she didn't want to go home with nothing.

As the woman approached him, he noticed that she looked a lot worse for the wear. He figured she was going to ask him for a hand out, but was a bit surprised when she grabbed his hand, offered a smile and to do whatever he liked.

Odin freed his hand and scowled at her. "Yes, that's what I've been planning on all night - ******* a bruised up, very pregnant whore," he said with a smirk.

"You should leave," he blunted added, but before she had a chance to do anything, he grabbed her wrist and shoved a fifty into her hand. "Get off the streets," he growled. He released her and continued on his way, brushing past her.

Skyy dropped her eyes to the ground, “Thank you.” her words echoed as she stared at the money in her hand. It was to much though, he wouldn't use it to help the baby, he would just smoke or drink it all up and she would be out here. Maybe if she broke it down... “Wait” she called out, this man was big and dangerous looking perhaps he could help her. She ran after him as best she could.

“Please... I will only be out here again.” she knew that sounded bad “My... my boyfriend...” she choked she knew if Tommy found out she was going to get really hurt. “He... I'm scared for the baby.” she whispered. Why was she asking him for help? Was it because he was older than her? Younger than her father who refused to help her unless she killed the child inside of her? “Please... I... I don't have anyone else to turn to" she held out the money. "I will do anything. Just please help us"

Odin had only walked a few steps when he heard her call out for him to wait. He frowned and turned to her. She continued on emotionally about her boyfriend and her concern for the child within her, trying to pay him with the money he just gave her for help.

"And what exactly do you expect me to do? Kill the mother-******?" he sneered. Then suddenly a slow grin curled his lips. "Well, maybe I could have a little chat with him," he said. The thought of killing the man was amusing to him, but then again she'd certainly know who did it and it wasn't good for him for her to have that knowledge. This was not a good situation all the way around.

"You don't have anyone to turn to except some stranger you pick for a possible john?" he said. "And you are willing to do anything if I help you?" He didn't even know what to do with this bit of information. Now if she wasn't with child he could ponder a couple of amusing situations.

"What exactly do you expect me to do?" he asked her again.

Skyy ran her hand across her belly, what did she expect him to do? “I... I don't want him to die...” she whispered. She began to wish Spyder was here, she would know what to do but she had gone back home. She shivered as the wind picked up around them it was to hard for her to think in this cold. “I... yes... maybe...” she didn't know. “No...” she said after a moment before turning back to him. “There... there has to be a place I can go... just... just until I can figure things out... I'm freezing...” her voice was very low, very quiet, as if she was afraid if she spoke to loud he would smack her just like Tommy did.

“Maybe... inside an apartment building... just... just not mine alright... please. Can you just... for a half hour maybe. Take me somewhere warm and... and then... maybe help me figure out... what to do?” she looked down again, waiting for him to tell her no. She didn't want to go home, she didn't want to give the money to Tommy, she wanted out but she was... she was to scared. He always found her, he always came back, dragging her, pulling her, he taught her lessons she didn't like. “It's... it's not like I want to be out here... doing this...” she said softly. “He... he gets so....” she started to cry.

In reply to Odin's question, the woman said quite a bit, very quietly. She shivered a few times and Odin subconsciously glanced down at her bare feet. He raised his eyes and glared at her.

"I can't help you figure out what to do," he said.

He was not happy with the situation and it was getting even weirder. "And I don't go around rescuing people either," he added.

She wanted to hide away in an apartment for a short time. Half an hour she said.

Yeah, right

She then broke down sobbing. Odin frowned. "Stop with the water works," he growled.

She obviously needed some place to go, and he sure as hell wasn't taking her to his apartment.

"Wait a moment," he said, thinking out loud. Christopher had an apartment around here. He could let her stay there briefly. It's not like his brother was coming back anytime soon. As a matter of fact, once he left Harper Rock no one had heard a word from him. Odin was pretty certain the apartment had been cleaned out, but at least it would have a kitchen and bathroom, and it would be warmer than out here.

"I know a place you can stay in," he said, then added, "for a short time."

I can't believe I'm doing this

The walk wasn't too far. Odin unlocked the door and ushered her it. As he suspected, all that was in the place was one chair and a small table. There was also a futon against the wall. "This will have to do." he told her.

After a moment he said, "By the way, my name is Odin. What is yours?"

Skyy tried hard to stop crying but she was having a hard time stopping. She was scared for her unborn baby and she didn't want to go home so much that she was begging this stranger this male for help. Even though he said he couldn't help her figure out what to do she began to feel the sinking feeling she was going to end up back at her own apartment, with Tommy. “He's going... going to be so mad” she whispered as she held herself trying to calm herself down.

Then he said to wait a moment and she found herself hopeful, the man had a place for her to stay, or at least knew a place she could stay. She could get warm, she could think, she could figure out how to either make Tommy happy or figure out what to do for her baby... or something and she really would give this man anything he wanted for this.

Skyy followed without question after him, she wanted to grab his arm but she kept herself from doing so instead holding herself tighter as she followed him like a lost child. “I... I used to be so strong” she whispered as they walked towards the apartment. “I used to do videos... online... make-up, music videos, funny videos... I... I don't know what happened....” she found herself crying again and said nothing more until they were inside the apartment where she had finally calmed down enough to sit on the floor near the door, so that he could have the chair.

“My... my name...” she kept her voice low, “Is Skyy...” at least it was now, it was Leanna really but she had changed her name when she left but didn't think to tell him that. Non of that mattered, “My parents think I should kill the baby... do you?” was to late of course to kill the child but she could give it away. “I mean to late now...” she said softly, “I would have to adopt it out... give it to someone. How... how do I tell Tommy though?” she gasped and got to her feet as fast as she could, in a panic, “Please please... please forget his name. Please...” she held her stomach as a sharp pain rushed through her. “Please... please...” she felt water. “No... no... to soon...” she cried again looking at him for help.

The woman entered the apartment and made herself comfortable on the floor. Odin glanced at the chair and the futon and figured she felt better to be sitting on the floor in her condition. She told him her name was Skyy, and then went on to ask his opinion about her current state. Before he could tell her that it was a bit late for an abortion, she stated that herself - going over her options for the little tyke. During the quiet dissection of her situation she spilled her boyfriend's name, then begged Odin to forgetit.

"Like I'm going to find your exact Tommy. I'm sure there are many Tommy's in Harper Rock. I will not forget his name though," he growled.

Skyy started crying again, a panicked look on her face. Odin looked her over and noticed amniotic fluid seeping out from under where she sat.

"Oh no," he exclaimed. "Don't go having that baby here!"

Dammit, dammit, dammit - how do I get in these situations!

Odin ran over to the futon and ripped the mattress off it and brought it over to where Skyy sat. He eased her up on it and noticed she wasn't looking very good.

"You'd better not die on me, I'm not taking care of some damned baby," he growled.
