oops...

Post by Serenity »

She stared at the motorcycle that had been dropped off that morning, she had informed them that she had a rare disorder that made it most impossible to be out in the sunlight. They had looked at her like she was strange but she had all the documents to prove that it was something that had simply gotten worst over the years since her childhood. She found it easy to do, seeing as she hadn't been very social as a child outside of China and who would truly go to China to question such claims and even if they did do so, she had her Aunts and Uncles who would of course claim it was all true... after all she never did tend to go out much... and if she did, it was never for long periods of time.

She pushed the thoughts out of her mind unlike many in this city she felt she had taken the best route of protection for herself. She opened the yellow folder and stared at the paperwork within, legally she shouldn't even get on the thing but she wanted to take it around the Estates just to make sure. It all looked simple enough and she had of course rode a bicycle... so it shouldn't be to much different.

Putting the manual inside the house she changed into a pair of jeans and a long sleeve shirt. Before grabbing the helmet she had gotten that was a simple white. It reminded her of a scooter helmet and she had debated getting the whole face guard one but it couldn't possible be that dangerous for her. Putting on her knee high brown boots she was ready to test drive.

Making her way back to the white motorcycle that was apparently a Harvey Davidson whatever that meant, she got on top of it. Her feet just barely touching the ground when it leaned to the left. Putting the keys in she waited for it to automatically turn on. Nothing. She frowned as she closed her eyes allowing herself to move back towards when they were showing her.

Opening her eyes she looked for what they called the kill switch. Locating it she turn the key into the off position and then flipped the switch down. Chewing her lower lip she turned the key and then quickly pushed the start button she could hear it start to come to life and let the button go. “I did it!” she about jumped up and clapped. Taken a deep breath she closed her eyes to find her balance before putting her hands on the handlebars, “nice and easy...” she whispered

Kicking up the kickstand she chewed on her lower lip once more, almost tipping over from the mere weight of the motorcycle, she really wished she was taller... mentally shacking her head she took a deep breath and began the next step. Making it move.

Looking over the bike she moved to pull the clutch level, and then pressed the shifter down to first gear at least she hoped it was first fear. Closing her eyes she slowly released the clutch and about screamed when the motorcycle began to move forward. As it began to pick up speed she took her feet completely of the ground, eyes still shut as she expected to fall over the moment she did. Nothing.

Her eyes slowly opened as she looked ahead of her, she was moving! This was easy! She couldn't help but smile. Making her way around the Esates grounds once she felt brave enough to finally take it up another gear. Disengaging the clutch she chewed her lower lip, as she hoped she was going to shift to 2nd gear she wasn't sure exactly what happened. Perhaps she hadn't revved the engine correctly, or maybe she hadn't really caught onto how to shift gears correctly, maybe she hadn't released the clutch slow enough, all she knew was that all of a sudden she was going to fast, and she began to panic.

She tried to turn the handles forgetting that she should think of turning like with a bycyle, she took her fett of the stands trying to make it stop with her feet but her tows while it was in the upright position bared touched the ground. She did what she felt was the most logical course of action, she screamed and closed her eyes.

She stopped... not exactly how she had hopped, she had stopped because she had went head first into Ripper's front door, the bike itself crashing and bending in such a way that she felt sad for the poor thing that was not tangled around Ripper's door. She chewed her lower lip and could taste her own blood at the moment. No one was there because no one came running in. She sat there, telling right away she had three cracked ribs, and she was pretty sure her face was pretty messed up. Slowly taken off the helmet she looked around. She didn't look like she destroyed anything to much inside... the carpet would need to be replaced, one of the benches... the door... for sure.

Dropping the helmet to the floor next to her she slowly got up to her feet to see how much she had damaged his front of his church as, noting the pain in her ankle, she was pretty sure she had shattered the bone. She had to climb over the bike at which point she simple sat on it, not even caring that it was on it's side at the moment, the old stones around the door frame on either side was pretty damaged but she was sure it shouldn't be to badly damaged. She looked down at her hands wanting to cry, “So much for being a quiet neighbor...” she whispered under her breath as she grabbed her cellphone. Moving down the list of names, she dialed Luffy... then hung up. Then sent him a text message.

I need help... I crashed into Ripper's Church... I don't think I should try and drive a motorcycle

Sending the message off she sighed and looked at the front door behind her, “Not to say anyone will likely be able to enter his church” she wasn't looking forward to telling Ripper at this exact moment. Clean it up first then worry about how she was going to break the news that she crashed into his church...
