The death itself had been hilarious if River would have been able to laugh. For a group of such "tough" vamps, they evidently were seriously freaked at her trashing the first floor of their nutjob hotel a few months ago.
Course before Enver had gotten her the message of the deal was, she had assumed she'd been killed because she'd made it clear to velvet that bullyin her kiddo wasn't going to be allowed anymore.
So far a week had gone by in the realm and she couldn't wait to get back. She had plenty to say about the liars whoo claimed she had stolen ****. Ya. right. Cause she so wanted their dirty trashy stuff. A snort came out at that.
Though her lips did tremble a bit at the fact the betrayal. Sure she and P were on the outs because of stupid stuff...but to help kill her kiddo for stupid ****, that **** had crossed the line.
But then she hadn't tried to fix the rift had she. No, she'd been to afraid that if she tried to talk..it would all come out badly like every other situation in her short time in this city.
Instead she'd avoided because thats all she knew. Avoid the prob and hope it got better..or faded away. She knew some who claimed it was easy to forget their past human selves but so far she was still the same old self. Stuck alone with her books and wanting to plant roots but not knowing how. Its not that she didn't care it was just that she sucked at the normal relationships others assumed were easy
So involved in her thoughts, she didn't notice the group of shadows huddling by. They whispered and moved, and got closer and closer to her.

Re: Erased and Skinned Rabbit
=Shadows=
The whispers had grown louder over the last few days. While the woman shadowy figure mutter to herself in the silent way of the realm, they had been carefully plotting.
This essence was so easy to mess with. True at first it had been simple hanger ons. Messing with her sense of time and memory. Even inputting conversations into the memories to convince her of different scenarios. The shadow powers were strong within this essence and it lacked the necessary defenses for so many months.
Even as it gained control over the abilities granted to it, the essence was full of holes. One could say it wanted to be that way. But shadows were not there to judge only to take advantage of what could be an easy way back into the realm they so desired.
They schemed. Plotted. Whispered. Surrounded her in what the confused woman creature would take as shadowy fog, normal for this realm. In fact it was a conglomeration of spirits deciding how best to use this puppet that always seemed to come back to them.
And yet. Each time they tried to wear her down and take her spirit over, she fought. Oh she didn't know she was fighting, but they felt the stings of power swiping by them.
"Enough is enough" One particularly strong presence said. "We have tried and failed. We need to be smart. Not simply stubborn."
Another swirled in an angry cloud of whispers, "How?" In fact all the shadows focused on the strongest of them.
"If we can not take her with who she is, we will erase what she was. It is not hard."
The fog thickened around the oblivious woman as the shadows considered this idea. A short time for them, but for the woman it was at least a week of trying to fight thorough the fog and grab a few meager spirits here and there.
"Agreed." Once decided there was no hesitation. The fog encased her, shadow essences blending with her shadows until they could move around and even through her.
"Keep her confused.." The voice of the strongest murmured. "We all know how easily it is to forget purpose and meaning when one is trapped here as long as we have been. We do nothing obvious but increase the confusion. This is not a strong being. In fact, if calculations are correct, this should not take too long."
=River=
She had a reason. The eagerness itself to get back and actually do something, talk to those who mattered, bash heads together if needed was there. Yet something was wrong. So few spirits were found and it seemed that in this realm where she had floated freely before she was becoming sleepy.
Her voice was a mellow whisper as her spirit curled up on itself. "Just a rest. Then Ill be ..uh be somethin.."

Re: Erased and Skinned Rabbit
=River=
She fought to wake up. To remember that she had **** to do. To get back to those she cared about. But somehow, all of it was now faded. Or at least not as important as it was supposed to be.
A wraith was next to her, bounding up and down and through her shadows. Screeching things like "PIKKKAAA". A faint smile crossed her face. She knew that shadow. The memory was not clear all the way through, but the love she had for this creature was real enough. A buzz went through her, she felt compelled to save it.
So little of her shadow form remained, but she felt enough buzz from the spirits she had drained yesterday..or at least she thought it was yesterday. Her shadow form flared for a second before the wraith disappeared.
A few moments later, she was confused as to what she had just done. Closing her eyes again, too tired to even wonder why she had just helped some shadow thing.
Her voice coming out in a listless half whisper. "Ill uh..fig it...ou..late."
