Only 20%? Seems a little cheap to me, given the cost of good art these days. Paintings sell for thousands or more. 20% is pennies when you think about it like that.

The original artist of whichever pieces sell gets the other 80%. So I'm offering up my entire commission/profit. And if you've ever looked into my store in the mall, you would see that my prices are very reasonable. But to sweeten the deal, I'm willing to donate three works of my own to be auctioned at the event, if there is an event, with all the proceeds going to the campaign.

However if you have a more profitable idea to raise funds, by all means I will gladly step aside.

If her prices are reasonable, then I doubt there will be a million dollar painting in her gallery. I think the auction idea is better for fund raising. Get the artists to donate pieces and give 100% proceeds to this Killian guy for his campaign. Then the gallery gets a good reputation, artists get their names out and the campaign has some funding.

Did I fail to mention that the Art Galley/Studio is in West University and therefore most of the works displayed there are those of students? I'm not gonna to insist my students 'donate' any pieces to a political campaign they may not even support. If they chose to do so, I'll find a way to thank them but it's got to be their own choice. I'll suggest it to them but I'll be damned if I'll "Get" them to do it. I have to be very careful how I ask people to do things or they may agree to ideas they normally wouldn't have, so believe me. If I wanted to 'get' them to do it, I could. But I won't. It's wrong.
