You...you realize technically vampires are more natural than the devices needed to connect to the internet right? Wildfire? You realize that a 'mistake' doesn't exist in nature because nature also can't do something on purpose. Nature just is.

As far as fear, people used to fear black people too. People used to fear machinery and advancement of technology. People used to hurl women through the air and set them on fire cause they thought they were witches.

To be completely fair to everyone involved, the opinion of the animated dead is fairly moot when they are law-abiding entities. Provided that they don't actually commit any injury to the public, or to other private law-abiding citizens and that they obey the letter of the law as it is laid out, physical action against them is assault, whether you agree or not.

Self-defense is an entirely separate subject, as everyone should have the right to feel safe in public spaces. One of them attacks you, then I don't see the law taking issue with you seeing to your personal safety or to the health of your companions. That includes our newfound neighbors. So while I applaud your dedication to protecting the less able to protect themselves, Wildfire, I think that some of your services for attacking someone simply for what they are is taking it a step too far. This is how witch hunts start, and the slippery slope we are already sliding down doesn't need another sudden drop. You may say harper Rock hasn't had them for hundreds of years. No way of knowing that for sure. Also doesn't mean they don't exist somewhere else! And you do your research! If you want to go scientificy vampires technically are indeed alive! Keep in mind reproduction is literally the only thing that there is any question on for how vampires function, and siring or whatever is their way of reproducing. They just skip part of the process found in MOST things.

And being alive, and being able to think and reason, they're just another version of superhumans with some extra weaknesses and abilities stacked on top.

I mean for goodness sakes blood thieves are literally just weaker versions of vampires who can walk in the day and aren't restricted to just blood to stay alive.

You're giving journalists - actual hardworking journalists and not the low-ball bottom feeders like yourself - a bad name. Do your research before you speak. Your points make no sense. As someone who has only been in Harper Rock a few short years, I actually have done my research. I've over-turned every rock I could, read every book I could get my hands on, googled every thing under the sun, and have asked as many species as I could about their time here, and there is still so much to learn.

You think you're being witty. You think you're actually doing something - but you're not. You're not helping vampire kind. In fact, your stupidity is hindering them. I'm not going to do your research for you. I'm not going to give you the answers I've had to work day and night tirelessly for, but I am going to implore you to do it yourself before you post again.
