The man moved further into the booth as he watched and mostly listened to what was going on. He remembered the woman more so in passing than in long conversation. The face that he remembered her at all ment she had left some sort of impression on him, after all he had met so many others throughout his travels and just in general with work. He was struggling to recall what he knew about her though. The fact that she was VDM probably had a lot to do with. He had met many at the wedding and the funeral but there were few had really gotten to know and even fewer who would talk openly with him about life.
As he sat and tried not to linger on Judah's face for too long, he didn't really care to know them all. He knew Jude and that was enough for him. Everyone else was a bonus. Except for August. He counted.
Austin is pulled from his thoughts as a hand is laid on his knee and he brought back to the conversation quickly. Dinner companion? Really? Really? A devilish grin spreads across the man's face as he assessed how he would handle this. He knew he wasn't ready to fully to open up to others about them but Mirella was his family and they were close. He glanced at her face briefly, She knew. Or at least had some idea.
The way he saw it there were two ways to go about this, so he turned on whatever sort of charm he thought he had and smiled at Ella. "You see, he's being incredibly modest and a horrible wing man if I might add." He leaned forward onto crossed arms as he got closer to the woman. "I'm recently back town after a trip to Nepal and Judie here was taking me out to try and meet someone. It's clear he could of skipped that step and simply given you a call, after all you are a stunning creature and that dress is positively breath taking on you."
