Re: Wild Growth (Serry/Mome)

Melody waited for a few minutes after Serendipity left the room and looked at herself again. She wasn’t a rotting corpse. She just wasn’t. Right? Maybe. She didn’t want to turn on the lights to see, that was for sure. But she’d always had a beautiful body, prided herself on it, so maybe it was just her sick sense of self loathing coming out in another way. She figured that was her issue, and had figured it was since they started, but they were sporadic enough she didn’t want to think about it. Crawling out of her bed she tossed the covers off herself and the bed, knowing she was gonna need to change her clothes too, she tossed them in the pile. Laundry soon then. Great. She pulled on non-blood-soaked clothing and sighed. Yeah, she figured that Seren would still be up. So she kicked the dirty crap in the corner, grabbed something from under her bed, and walked to the other womans room.
Listening at the door she just heard the general sound of restlessness and decided that was fine, sort of. She could take her mind off that at least, but this wasn’t the way she’d planned it. They would both need more sleep eventually, but this would occupy Seren why she cleaned up the rest of the mess and went to the 24/7 laundrymat. These days she figured anyone who wondered why someone was doing laundry at the asscrack of dawn would still be locked away in their house hoping the Mayor did something about the ‘crime’. Momento moved to open the door and walked over to the bed, dropping the book on the bed. She turned to say something, opening her mouth, and shut it again. Rethinking her words. “Reading material to help you sleep,” she finally said, knowing there wasn’t a damn word in the book. It was filled with pictures of Melody as a child. A fun outspoken colorful child with her mother. The bossy attention craving with her Father and step sister. Pictures she’d added herself of Lizzie and her at parties. Ones she’d even printed off facebook before she stopped using it completely. Some of her just drunk as **** doing stupid ****, so she’d remember to keep her wits about her next time. Not that there would be a next time.
She turned and walked from the room before the other woman even cracked the book. Melody didn’t need to see it all again. This was just for Seren to get a glimpse of who she really was at one point. Really, that had more to do with just showing her friend that she was just that. A friend. Because what kind of friend acts like she was dropped out of the sky being a hating hard ***** to the world?
