'Step sire.' How weird a word it was to hear. Childe. Sire. Sibling. These were words she was used to. The roles of the first being the newest to her it would seem...until now. This wasn't the time to dwell on such things though and she cast her eyes over Lorde's once more, wondering if she'd be a friend or foe. She'd taken an almost instant disliking to Falcon but then she wasn't Enver's blood, not really, and she had been convinced to give the girl another chance. So time would tell it would seem as to whether or not step sire was a role she was willing to play to his childer or if she would wash her hands of them altogether.
Keara squeezed Enver's hand a little tighter as he gave a very vague answer to Lorde's question as to what had happened recently. She didn't mind that he didn't volunteer the fact that he was married, thinking that perhaps he either realised that it had already been said or wanted to talk to Lorde about it in more detail when they were alone. The female was bound to have questions about their relationship and Enver was probably trying to avoid those until he could answer freely without Keara at his side. As he continued to speak she stayed silent; he had questions for his daughter, ones that apparently wouldn't wait until they were alone and so she quietly looked from one to the other, to the other. Her gaze always returned to and lingering the longest on the side of her husband’s face but that was to be expected considering how she felt about him. She was behaving, for now, though if that good behaviour would last was something that remained to be seen.

Lorde looked at the hulk of a man that was called Jonah. He was like her? A killer surely. She scoffed. He didn’t look like her, he was… different than most killers she had come across she was sure of it. She herself was quite muscular for a killer, the stronger she got the more the muscles became prominent across her thin physique.
“Hello Jonah.” She said, waving her hand dismissively. She wasn’t really interested in him – she was interested in her maker. What he had been doing when she was locked up, and how he had suddenly tied the knot with a random vampire she’d never met before.
“Things are good my end, escaped jail – got a couple of midnight snacks along the way” She said as she used one of her long fingernails to pick through her fangs. Feminine mannerisms weren’t her thing. She was more male than female. A real tomboy – until Enver forces her into a dress or two for odd occasions only then does she –actually- look like a woman.
“Jail.” She scoffed. “You know, it’s not a bad place. Especially when humans throw themselves at your feet to be your favourite. All wanting to be blood bags.” She looked at Enver. “Don’t worry the ones I revealed myself too for the blood – are all dead now. I made sure of it on my exit.” She shrugged – she’d learnt to cover her own tracks, the way she’d been taught. “I got caught killing someone here, I hadn’t fed for a while so I couldn’t overpower the stupid human cops. Went to prison, had some fun.” There was a shrug – she was old enough and ugly enough to look after herself. Enver had taught her well enough.
She’d been under his care for almost three years. A long time. “Where’s my wife? I’ve seen her loads of texts, and emails and nothing.” Her face lost all silleyness as she looked from Enver to Keara. “I’m a lesbian.” She shrugged. “I hope you’re not homophobic.” She was blunt.

His wife was being quiet. Enver wasn't sure if that meant anything or not, but the look on her face hadn't changed any. And if she wanted to say something, she could in the privacy of his brain. He watched his creation and listened carefully. Worry? Why would he be worried if she told humans what she was? It might be that Enver didn't go on the top of roofs shouting out he was a vampire, but it wasn't like he'd deny it either if asked.
"All of them are dead?" Enver echoed. Surely she could have sired one or two of them. He didn't really think of Lorde as a sire, like Keara was; lots of creations roaming all around, but maybe one or two like him. One or two loyal ones.
The topic of Lorde's wife made Enver clear his throat and frown. "I assumed she was with you. Haven't seen or heard from her in months. Like you." He shrugged his shoulders. Should he be worried? Maybe, but surely someone knew where the woman was. If not him and his creation, then maybe her own creation or the sire of Eel. "Sorry, kiddo. She sort of went off the grid and I assumed you two were doing what newly weds did." At that Enver turned his gaze to his wife and waggled his brows at her with a wide grin.
"And no. Jail isn't a bad thing. So long as you cover your ***. I'm not worried about humans knowing about you, unless they intend to do you some harm." Enver circled back to the idea of jail, which was still on his mind, just tucked in the back since she asked a few questions of him that he didn't have the answer to. "So you going to behave for a little while, or are we going to have to reserve you a room at the penitentiary?"

Lorde picking at her fangs didn’t bother Keara, not in this location; had she been doing it in the middle of a street... well that would have been a different story. She watched and listened to their exchange of words, unsure as to what their relationship was like. The pair were obviously familiar with one another but there didn’t seem to be much of a physical connection between. This was possibly a good thing as if Lorde had pounced on Enver the moment she saw him she may have taken an instant dislike to the woman.
Homophobic? Not Keara. She was quite accepting of most things so long as they didn’t have any impact on her. The things she feared were far more interesting and spoke more to her life experiences. Same sex partnerships weren’t exactly new. What had caught her attention however was the fact that she had cleaned up her mess. She hadn’t thought that Enver would like that information and so her eyes immediately went to him to study his micro expressions.
When Enver was given the chance to speak. As she suspected, the first thing he commented on was the fact that she’d killed people. She’d been wondering if she’d hear judgement in his voice, as she knew he didn’t like her killing people; not that she did that all that often, as killing frail creatures wasn’t something she did unless it were necessary.
“Enver,” she shook her head lightly. “Joke thusly you should not. Human institution no place is for one of our kind.”
The word human didn’t roll off of the tongue for her, as she was happier with her own way of addressing them but didn’t believe Lorde would understand her if she used her preferred terminology. Having half-heartedly chastised her husband, she looked to his childe.
“Matter to me it does not to whom married you are. Fear such things I do not.”
Her eyes moved swiftly back to Enver, knowing that he might try to tease her about the one ridiculous fear she did have, her look warning him not to even attempt to make light of that. Though it was entirely possible that that thought had not and would not cross his mind, as it wasn’t something that came up all that often and she was sure he’d accepted it as just another one of her quirks.

Jonah had trailed behind Enver, still concerned for the allurists well being as they found their way back to Keara and an unknown individual. A brow arched and he looked to the head of the Vedarian line, wondering if an explanation would be coming. He knew that Keara was becoming more social outside of the family, but it was still strange for him to see it first hand. The killer was still growing used to this version of her.
The identification of the new girl came from an unknown source when Enver said "kiddo" and Jonah looked at her with a new light. She was in the catacombs so there had been little doubt in his mind that she was a vampire but the interaction with Keara made more sense now. When Enver introduced him, he simply nodded in response to the dismissive wave and let the conversation move on.
He had stumbled in to a bit of a family matter but Keara was the closest thing he had to a sire so he decided to stay there in case he was needed. When the issue of jail arose, he spoke up for the first time, "If you need some help with...paperwork to...distance yourself from all that, I think I know someone that can help."

Enver waved a hand, blowing off Keara's concern more or less. Maybe it was valid, maybe not. It seemed in this instance it wasn't. "She took care of things it seems. No harm, no foul." He added in before the male looked around, uncomfortable with the topic at hand. He knew Lorde wouldn't leave too many loose ties, but at the same time, he didn't see why drastic measures had to be taken. Drastic measures, such as killing ALL the people she was with. He hoped that wouldn't come to bite her in the *** later.
When Jonah piped up, he looked at the male. "That's probably a good idea. The best." He nodded his head. See? Jonah was of the same opinion of Enver, or so Enver had decided since he didn't comment on the killing of humans and offered an alternative solution. Shame the male didn't speak out more, but he was probably forced to wear a muzzle for reasons Enver wouldn't comment on. "Might be good to try and get rid of her records if you can. Or that person can. Especially the ones where she escaped. Being she's the only survivor." He expanded on why he thought it was a good idea before turning back to his kiddo. "So, now that we're all through with the meet and greets, need anything, kiddo?" Enver's first priority was to make sure she was taken care of. Maybe her bank accounts had been frozen. She needed a weapon. Anything.

“All of them are dead.”
She repeated her sire’s words and nodded her head. Lifting her hand up to her chest to scratch at her breast. God, these stupid jail jumpsuits were itchy. Lorde found herself scratching and scratching feeling no shame as Keara, Enver and Jonah were close by – probably even watching. “Sorry.” She said, though she wasn’t really. The sore subject of her wife made Lorde sad, though she never showed such emotions. Lorde had always assumed to show emotion was to show weakness and being the killer that she was she didn’t like giving people ammunition to her own demise whenever that would happen. Knowing that her wife went MIA shook Lorde up, more than she knew. Did she run away – did she not love Lorde anymore? All these questions coursed through her mind.
“Hmm.” She muttered. “I miss her.” She said, she didn’t speak to Keara but to Enver directly. He was the only one she really trusted – he was the only person who had seen Lorde’s soft side. Maybe he could understand her sudden pain in knowing Eel had disappeared. Maybe she had been kidnapped. Her fangs poked through the peach lips of hers in thought of someone hurting her wife.
“I’ll behave.” She said in reply to Enver. She had no intention of running off again, those days were behind her. It was time she grew up and took responsibility for herself. Maybe she could even sire someone? She laughed at herself for even thinking about that. Lorde could never see herself as a sire. She’d teach them how to break the masquerade. They’d be a minion more than a childe. Could be fun?
“Thank you Jonah, that would be extremely helpful.” She said, with a smile before turning to Enver did she need anything? To get out of these clothes. “Nah, is my room still there at the theatre? Or are we crashing elsewhere now? – “ Her eyes flashed over to Keara. “Do I need to soundproof walls or anything?” She snickered at her own teasing jest. “Maybe some new clothes that aren’t quite so neon.”

Keara made no move to distance herself from Enver as everyone conversed, keeping her fingers laced with his with her free hand on his bicep. She didn't look half as odd standing at his side as she used to when he wore his business attire, his more casual dress code of jeans and t-shirt had become the norm when they were together these days; a fact that made their differing styles much less pronounced. Of course they still didn't look like a natural couple what with their noticeable age difference and while Enver looked like he were several years her senior, this was certainly not the case. Keara had tucked herself in close to Enver and now stood half hidden behind his body. She'd managed not to hug and kiss him, (as they were careful with their behaviour when in public), but that didn't mean that she was going to stand back and pretend he meant nothing to her. The way in which she positioned herself though almost made her seem the more vulnerable of the pair, which again would have been another wrong assumption to make as she was unquestionably the more violent. This behaviour was something she seemed to do naturally these days when around people she didn't know well, though admittedly those occasions were few and far between and the reasoning behind it was still a mystery even to her.
The conversation itself was quite serious and Keara looked between the faces as they spoke. Forging paperwork could be good, disposing of any evidence of her crime was perhaps better. This was something Keara could look into doing herself if she wanted to spend a little time trying to hack into the local authorities’ databases. She had very little to say on the subject though at that moment and didn’t really feel the need to speak until Lorde aimed a few questions at her and Enver. She was composed enough so as not to let the blood rise in her cheeks at the question as to sound proofing as she was still wondering about how to answer where it was that she would be living. She knew Lorde had a room at the theatre of course but she didn’t realise that Lorde was so attached to her sire that she would presume to still be living with or near him now that he was married. As for the elusive wife of which she spoke, Keara began to wonder if she would be expected to open her home to yet more of those to whom she had no true bond. She and Enver had not yet spoken of any such arrangements and so her grip on Enver’s hand tightened and she looked to him as if she’d been rendered mute.
‘Spoken we have not of your childe’s accommodation. Perhaps better it would be if she at the theatre alone for now does stay.’
She spoke direct into his mind, her eyes upon him to see how he’d react. This conversation didn’t seem to need to include her right now and she had no right to tell Enver where he should place his childe. She hadn’t anticipated this and would need to put some thought into it all before she could make a decision either way as to include this one among her numbers. Allowing her access to her home didn’t just give her access to Enver, it gave her access to her entire family, and without knowing more about her, this wasn’t something she was willing to risk.

It seemed that there was a general consensus that getting her new papers would be for the best and unsure how welcome he was in the little reunion, he stepped away from the crowd after Lorde had thanked him. "Of course. You're family now."
Pulling his phone out, he wandered a few steps until he found suitable signal and tapped out a message to Digo.
Have a friend that needs new IDs and papers. Your business still doing that?
Not expecting an immediate response, he knew the other Killer was often busy with the many ventures he had going on, he stepped back to the group as they were discussing where Lorde would be staying. Hearing no one else offer any suggestions, he attempted to be friendly towards Enver's childe. "Depending on how Keara feels, I'm sure there's room in the asylum if you need a place to stay."

"All of them." Enver echoed, trying not to frown. He thought all was a bit excessive, really. Even if he knew his thoughts on that were in the minority on that topic. Keara wouldn't think twice about killing anything that was in the way of certain things, or problematic; case in point Hannah and the police officer. He knew Jonah wouldn't either. Not with the crowd he ran with these days. No one saw that while vampires were the stronger of the two species living side by side, killing humans without any remorse or second guess was going to be the species downfall. Vampires were the minority, even if there were hundreds of them in the city. Enver always followed the rule of thumb, don't bite the hand that feeds you. Not everyone else believed in that old saying, but they'd see. Good thing he had a large stack of cash. When things went down in Harper Rock, he and anyone else he deemed family or important enough were getting the hell out of here and not looking back.
His thoughts returned to the three he was surrounded by when he felt his wife against his side and when he heard her speak. "Huh?" He asked, cocking his head to see her and just her. "Oh, yeah. Well that's because she's been gone." Enver replied with a casual shrug, then looked at his creation. "Your room is still above the theatre. Gets cleaned once a week by a service. Everything should still be in there." He added in, testifying to the fact he trusted the cleaning service.
At the mention of Lorde being family with Jonah, his eyes narrowed suspiciously. Enver wasn't sure how Jonah perceived the other male, but knowing what he heard about Tytonidae and their public opinion of the way he thought on things, he wasn't sure it was all that good. Or that the male had a high opinion of anything Enver did or said. Which made him instantly suspicious of why he wanted to get close to Lorde. Maybe find out some information about Enver through Lorde. Good luck with that. Or use Lorde against Enver. Like his buddies the blood thieves did when they killed her for standing on the block their house was on. His jaw clenched and his shoulders raised up in to a shrug. "The theatre ain't all that bad. I stop in there every now and again." Maybe once a month, but he would stop in more now that Lorde was back. "There's still River's places too. Think they're all open to family."
